The staff have never been anything but friendly, and they do take care of the inside as well. It's always been clean and tidy anytime I've been inside. A&W isn't the cheapest fast food option, but it also feels like a step above traditional fast food and the portions are typically reflective of the price. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it can get backed up at times. It's certainly not the quickest place I've ever been. So just keep that in mind if you're planning on the drive thru. Once we received the menus, we realized the restaurant had significantly limited the offerings, and our mother's favorite dish had been removed. When we asked if it was still available, the server responded, "We didn't want to burden the kitchen tonight." That answer was especially disappointing given the occasion and the expectations we've come to have for this restaurant. To make matters worse, the service -- which is usually one of the highlights of dining here -- felt awkward, inattentive, and well below the standard we've experienced in the past.
