It was one of many businesses that got me through this weird, uncertain time. For the last few months, I got myself reacquainted with Aurora. Well over a decade ago, I frequented Aurora often. I'm not sure why I stopped visiting, but it has been great returning every few weeks. While rediscovering Aurora, I have noticed this Rudy for a while. It used to be a Starbucks that I frequented often back in the day. It's also nearby a Gong Cha that I love. A couple Saturdays ago, after running a bunch of errands, I felt like lunch. I remembered this place and drove up the 404 to get here. There was plenty of parking when I got here at roughly 3 pm. I parked and walked in. I needed to use the washroom, so I made a left to use it. There are two single stalls. The door handle tells you whether it's vacant or occupied. The one that I used before and after my meal was clean. I headed over to the counter to place my order. I got Sarah, who was super patient and friendly. I looked at the combos menu. I went with the rude dude combo. The rude dude is a double cheeseburger. I got it with bacon, which meant that my burger was tattooed. I liked that I got a small poutine as the side because the poutine at Rudy's is excellent. I also got a fountain drink. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. She let me know when my food was ready. I found a table by the wall with windows. I filled my cup with ice and Diet Coke. It was so refreshing. I went back to refill my cup because I needed more of it to wash my food down. It is drafty in this eatery. Most folks had their coats and jackets on. There was a heater in the corner, which did little to heat the entire eatery. I looked at my receipt. Sarah had asked for my name. It was Marrie on the receipt. Close enough! My order was number 71. I thought that I'd hear the number called out and fetch my order. Nope. Sarah brought my food over on a tray. So nice! I thanked her and went to town eating my late lunch. My rude dude burger tasted yummy and fresh. I loved the buttery leafy lettuce, juicy sliced tomatoes, two slices of cheese, sauce, and bacon. The two smashed beef patties were flavourful and perfectly grilled. The bun was soft and held everything together. I loved being reunited with this burger! The poutine was excellent. The gravy was perfect to melt the cheese curds. The fries were perfection. It is the perfect side with the rude dude. I love that this Rudy location is in Aurora. I'll be back again for more good eats. (502)

However, it is a Persian spot, and i'm a huge fan of Middle Eastern dishes. I ordered the chicken sandwich, and WOW so delicious. The portions huge, so I definitely recommend sharing with someone else or saving the rest for later. We got to choose our own toppings, so I included tomatoes, lettuce, hot peppers, hot sauce, and their special sauce. The sauce wasn't overpowering, so I could actually taste the delicious flavours of every ingredient. We also ordered a side of fries, which were nice and crispy on the outside, with a soft inside. The dishes were made super quickly!! The staff was kind, and made our meals within less than 10 minutes. The inside is quite small, but it's definitely a cozy, comfortable spot. If it does get busy, it might be best to dine outside and take the food to-go. 10/10 i'd definitely go back and try another sandwich, perhaps with different meat or toppings!!

It knows what it is, with a menu consisting primarily of burgers & wings, limited sandwich options, a few pasta dishes, and some salads. Yes, it's licensed to serve adult beverages. We came for the burgers and this turned out to be the right choice, specifically the Banquet Burger is one of the best I've had in recent memory. The patty itself is hand formed from fresh beef and cooked to perfection i.e., fully cooked yet very juicy. Make sure you use a napkin and take your bit over your plate. (Our server wisely brought us extra napkins.) The back bacon accompanying the beef patty was well prepared and decent sized also, a very nice Banquet Burger indeed. I also loved the crisp pickle and very much enjoyed the fries. An interesting aside. One of the condiments on the table was "Max & Marcus" prepared mustard. It's labelled "Montreal Deli Style". I didn't need it for my meal but was intrigued as a departure from the usual "French's" or even generic. I had to taste it and determined that it is indeed "premium" as claimed and would absolutely choose it over the usual suspects. Cheeks is very close to a busy corner yet there is a free parking lot very close by. It was April when we were there so the Patio was not yet in service however we got a very nice table near the window. Service was cheerful, quick, and attentive. The distance from the ball park and Cheeks was rather short, which meant we unfortunately had to endure another Leafs playoff flop against the Lightning that was broadcasted on TV while we waited for our takeout. To tell you the truth, I was still pretty full from the Indian pre-game meal, so I left it to my son to do most of the taste testing. To maintain the integrity of this review, I took the first and the last bite of the burger. The strength of their burger is in the quality of meat and the timing of the grilling. Very rarely will you find a bar that will dare to leave a touch of pink in their patty. The only thing I would of like them to do was to put a little bit more salt in the patties. I couldn't comment on any of their other food, but if you are in the area, Cheeks offers a pretty damn solid burger in the Bolton/Caledon area. If Indian is not your thing and you wanted a less exotic option, check Cheeks out. FYI, my son approves of their burger.
