As always, they were professional, polite, and able to get us on the schedule quickly. (One of the outlets that was not working is the one that provides electricity to our tankless water heater). We are first time homeowners and admittedly unfamiliar with all things electric (hence the call to an electrician when we could not determine why several outlets were not working). We had tried the breakers but did not know/think to look for a tripped GFI switch. In less than 10 minutes, Alcorn head located the trip to GFI and push the button. We were then sent an invoice for $150.00 To say we were shocked was an understatement we absolutely appreciate that time is money and have no problem paying for peoples time and professional services.... but in this instance to maintain $150 callout fee when the work required was simply to locate and reset a GFI switch left a very bad taste in our mouths. Even a reduced fee would have been more decent in our opinion. As I mentioned, this is not in any way a reflection on the quality of work and professionalism that Alcorn provides. They have done substantial jobs for us in the past and we have been nothing but pleased. Unfortunately this last encounter has left us searching for a new electrician for future jobs. Alcorn appears to have many positive reviews- all deserved. I am certain this won't impact their business, nor should it. We were just caught off guard by the charge and after asking others in the community their opinion- all were in agreement so we opted to share our experience.

Although, porta potty was timely delivered, services went south from there. Calls to Texas Johns for cleaning and leveling went unanswered, requiring we leave a message and wait for a call back. When they finally returned the call their assurances that service tech would fix the issues turned out to be false. The price for cleaning 2x a week was so high that it was clear Texas Johns didn't want to be burdened with coming out twice a week. Based on our experience over a two month period, we can say that Texas Johns is quick to charge your credit card each month but nonresponsive to service requests. Calls transferred to the "operations department" are meaningless. Upon trying to find management who would care about such poor service, there isn't any as Texas Johns seems to be run by LLC "Henry Investment Group" out of Midland and no phone that is ever answered.

I did that and nothing changed. Called Ben back to have him come out unfortunately in freezing temps only to tell me that all was well and that it would be 100 bucks for the service call. Today same problem and now the pressure built up enough to pop the quik cap off of the cleanout and dump sewage into my yard. A text to Ben gets a reply of oh you have a clog going into the first tank just run a garden hose down the clean out pipe toward the tank. Would have been great to have had this diagnosed correctly and fixed last night before it dropped another 8 degrees into the 10's with snow now falling on the ground and 4" to 6" in the forecast for today. Not exactly sure what the service call to my house was for other than a confirmation of his misdiagnosis of the problem and an opportunity to try and collect 100 bucks only to cause additional issues as now in addition to still having the same problem I called about I'm now going to get to thaw where my sprinklers belong as that was never the problem in the first place

He determined it was an internal thermostat fuse that popped to prevent a fire. He waited for the part and replaced it in a subsequent visit. Fast forward a week, my dryer again has the same issue. They came out quick and we took preventative action (clean dryer drum and vent from laundry wall to external wall). Both my drum and vent conduit was relatively clean. So it looks like our control panel is faulty and would need to be replaced given its false positive for overheating. Instead of incurring additional part and labor costs which would have amounted to half of a new dryer anyway, I elected to replace. So although our dryer didn't work or get resolved, Shane was thorough and polite and engaged my husband and me on what was going on and steps forward. I'm glad to hear that Doc Danielson hires veterans and had a great technician who wanted the best outcome for the customer even if the appliance wasn't worth saving.
