The reason: waiting around for a crew for hours just for the estimate with subpar communication leaving me - waiting around for people to show up. When I started searching for a new team that could handle the work, I read through reviews and found Home Solutions. Customers raved about communication and pride in their work. And through completion of our kitchen project we experienced exactly that - professionalism, on-time delivered work and diligent communication every step of the way to ensure our satisfaction. They made it easy to coordinate arrival - offering for someone to meet me and hand off keys, offering to work around our schedule, providing clear timelines of when we could expect work to be started and completed. He was honest with us when he had questions about some of our subcontractors, he extended discounts to us on items, and most importantly, he is an amazing communicator. I think most people who have worked with contractors have struggled with communication issues (don't call back, etc.) -this was not at all true with Jakub. He was easy to contact and got back to us quickly. He is also warm and easy to talk to--I know, not necessarily a job requirement, but we found that his wonderful personality made the whole process more bearable. A special shout-out to my Project Designer, who really stood out. He was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to understand what I was looking for rather than simply recommending a standard solution. What impressed me most was his creativity and willingness to think outside the box. He offered a design approach I hadn't considered, and it completely elevated the final look of my home. The quality of the work, attention to detail, and overall customer service were excellent. It's clear that Window District takes pride in both the product and the experience they provide. I interviewed several drywallers, painters, and contractors before choosing EC Painting & Home Maintenance. Efrain's verbal communication and English is EXCELLENT which was very important to me when choosing a contractor to make sure everything went smoothly. I knew my project had unique challenges--unlevel floors, walls and doorways that weren't square or plumb, nail pops, and large settling cracks from a 49+ year-old building. I was very concerned no matter what I did things would never look "straight," but Efrain worked with me diligently to get things "picture perfect" so that the crooked walls and floors disappeared and became invisible to the naked eye when finished. From the start, Efrain listened carefully, answered all my detailed (often technical) questions, and worked with me to find the best approach--for example, reframing bifold doors so they would look straight and close properly when one side of the floor was nearly 2" lower than the other. I know I'm not the easiest customer since I like to understand exactly how things will be done, but Efrain was patient, explained everything clearly, and was flexible as we figured out solutions along the way. Also, unlike some contractors/owners who show up for an estimate but then send different workers to do the job, which often results in gaps in communication, he also did most of the work personally (adding 1-2 additional crew when needed) and was always available and responsive to calls, texts and emails, so there were no communication gaps. Whenever something wasn't "just right" and needed a little tweaking or change, he never complained once and made sure I was completely satisfied with the finished result. Efrain is professional, patient, communicative, and genuinely a pleasure to work with. His crew works efficiently and respectfully, and he goes above and beyond to make sure everything looks right. I highly recommended EC Painting & Home Maintenance for your next renovation project. Five stars!!!

Meeting her wasn't like meeting a new vendor, but more like gaining a new friend. We decided on Halina as she provided the most flexible option in terms of choosing our own materials, and she is extremely careful with giving a detailed quote so that the client can see the complete breakdown. Halina helped us with a full kitchen and bathroom renovation. We had a modern kitchen but hated the look. I showed her my Pinterest board which she immediately understood my vision. She brought in an amazing cabinet maker (millworker) who did fabulous custom cabinets for us. I am an avid baker and cook and wanted the small kitchen to be as functional as possible. Halina accommodated with bringing in the millworker who mapped out our entire space for maximum efficiency. This included pull out spice cabinets, utensil cabinets, toe kick and pull out trash bin. We had a custom color sprayed on the lower cabinets and they look and function beautifully; with soft closing drawers and inlay cabinet doors. The bathroom was definitely a complete overhaul. We did a bathtub to shower conversion with hexagon tile flooring, subway tile walls. Halina made sure that all the plumbing was good to go, and while this was a slightly difficult process for us to live without running water for a little bit, the end result is well worth it! We have a beautiful bathroom that makes me feel like I am at a resort every day. The tile work is very well done. As far as change orders, Halina doesn't start anything without asking us. We had a few things that we wanted to change that were on our part - and the prices were fairly reasonable. What we paid at the end was very close to what we were quoted in the beginning. Overall, we are extremely thrilled with our renovation from Aspiro Renovations. Halina's dedication to excellence and continued support is (she has helped us even after the renovation is over) is much appreciated.

I spoke with 6 or 7 contractors before, gratefully, finding Aspiro. Halina's bid was markedly below the other companies. Bringing a sophisticated design sense, and allowing me to choose and order my own materials was a winning partnership that saved money further and created a beautiful end result. Additionally, it should be highlighted that working with a woman contractor brought novel benefits, like attention to detail, emphasis on candid communication to quickly address issues, and a warm collaborative spirit. There was no loss of skill as Halina and her crew are extremely knowledgeable in all areas of construction, engineering and in the trades necessary for renovations. I highly recommend Aspiro for any project big to small--amazing results, at a fair price, while staying sane!

I want to give an honest firsthand account of what took place here because the experience my family…read morewent through was handled in a way no one should have to deal with. Our neighbor had hired this company to handle snow removal during the blizzard. The day before things escalated, my mother spoke with our neighbor outside and calmly let him know that the crew should avoid putting snow onto our side of the property. He said he would pass it along. The following morning the crew returned and deposited snow in the same areas anyway. My mother stepped outside around 9:41 AM and made a polite request for the crew to stop. The very first thing the owner said back to her was a sarcastic good morning. She told him she had no desire to argue and that this had already happened the previous day. He responded with a brief philosophical remark about what you put into the universe, told her no problem, and walked away without doing anything. My father had been asleep after working a night shift. He came out once he realized the snow was still there and made a straightforward request for the crew to remove it. The owner responded by turning to his crew and instructing them out loud to ignore my father while he was standing right there. My father explained his situation. The owner brushed it off as though the concern was about where future snow might go, not the snow already sitting on our property and blocking our gate. My father went back inside. Less than a minute after telling his crew to disregard my father, the owner walked over to our neighbor and stated that he had already apologized to us. No apology of any kind had taken place. That claim later became the foundation for every apology reference made in public responses about this incident. Around 9:58 AM the crew appeared to be heading toward their trucks as though they were about to leave. The snow was still on our property. My father came back out, and that alone is the reason it was eventually removed. He told them plainly he just needed that snow taken care of. The owner responded by questioning what snow he was referring to. When my father pointed to it, the owner responded with a rude comment directed at him. That was the first harsh language in the entire interaction, and it came from the owner. He followed it up by referring to my father sarcastically and saying the snow would melt around June. As my father and I walked toward the snow, the owner told us in crude terms to get away, despite the fact that it was sitting on our property. At the same time, without my knowledge, the owner's son pulled a shovel from the truck and threw it in my direction while my back was turned. I only found out after reviewing security camera footage. I tried to have a calm conversation. He cut me off. I pointed to the fence posts separating our two properties and asked how we were supposed to access our gate. He said so what, then made another crude remark about the number of properties he had worked on. My mother offered the simplest resolution: remove what the crew put there and we are done. The owner told her she lacked intelligence, repeated three times that the storm snow justified where his crew placed it, then claimed it came from the town plow. That was his third explanation, after saying the crew could not see the driveway and before that that they mistook it for grass. He then mocked her accent and taunted her. A neighbor watching from nearby said she had been planning to hire him and no longer would. He told her not to. When I mentioned we had footage of the crew moving snow onto our property, the owner's son told us to go ahead and watch it. We are keeping it private out of respect for everyone involved, but we have it. The snow was not removed until nearly 27 minutes after my mother's first request. As the crew left, the owner's son directed an obscene gesture at our family caught on our doorbell camera. The owner confirmed this in his public response. It was the only thing he acknowledged. A few points worth clarifying: The owner introduced harsh language into this situation, directed at my father. My mother's first strong language came 25 minutes later, in direct response to the owner's son directing it at me unprovoked. She was responding, not initiating. No apology was ever made. My mother told the owner directly that an apology and a commitment to clean up was all it would have taken. He never offered either. The fence posts are clearly visible. I pointed to them. The owner said so what. Our family had known our neighbors for nearly twenty years. That relationship is now damaged, not over snow landing in the wrong place, but over how every moment of this was handled. Two sentences and a shovel would have ended it. We asked for an acknowledgment and a cleanup. We never received either willingly.
