I made sure to be home at the time being that I was coming from work and I sat in my car for 2 hours waiting for them and they never showed. 12:30 they still didn't come they are calling me trying to confirm my address when that information was communicated the day prior. After so much delay making me late to other obligations I asked them to cancel as they had no regards to my time and no accountability. Things happen, delays happen but you have to communicate. They offered me a $25 discount which I thought was a slap in the face. I was about to spend $600. I told them to forget it, I was going to do business with them because I was referred to them but the experience was so bitter that I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. A lady calls me back asking me if I'm sure I want to cancel I said yes because they don't respect me nor my time. I informed her I will fix my window elsewhere. She refused to take accountability then tells me "f you b*tch". I hung up. I never rose my voice at her, I never cursed at her. It's pretty bold for them to call me to curse me out when they messed my whole day up due to their lack of professionalism.

It remains, frankly, unacceptable that Safelite doesn't let you get anyone on the phone to discuss issues. This has been both my experience and that of a family member, who had worse issues with Safelite than I did (In their case, they installed a defective windshield and damaged the vehicle's electronics). My issues are that Safelite broke plastic parts when replacing my windshield some time ago, and the rear view mirror was attached so poorly that it not only came off but took a piece of the windshield with it. Could not get anyone on the phone to discuss. I went to a Safelite location today, and they made an appointment to replace my windshield under warranty. I was not given an argument at any time that the problem might have been my fault. Extra credit for that (and for sure, it wasn't my fault). It's still the case that the original replacement of the windshield should have been done on-site as originally ordered, as at the time Safelite lacked the means to do a calibration on my car (the latest replacement, under warranty, included a vehicle calibration, for which I am thankful). Nonetheless I've upgraded my rating to four. But Safelite, please, find a way to have representatives either talk by phone or chat with customers online, even if it's just to discuss the situation and tell us to visit a Safelite location.

I won't know how well it was actually done until I am driving in a heavy rain, but there are a few things you don't want when having your vehicle serviced: 1. When they called to give me the service window they didn't identify themselves. The caller said, "This is XXXX, I'll be there between 10 and 12". I said, "who?". He responded, "From the glass place". I'm like, "What glass place?" Finally, he said he was coming to replace my windshield but still never identified the company he worked for. 2. I went outside and asked the installer if I could get him anything. He responded, "Yeah, a new job" and went on to complain that my truck was too tall. I offered him a choice of ladders and he said "No, I will stand on my toolbox if I have to". 3. When I heard him packing up I went back outside only to have him complain about what a "Pain in the ass" the job was, and how they lost money on the job because it took him two hours plus 30 minutes to get to my house. 4. As I stood there listening him to go on and on about how much they lost on the job I noticed that the front windshield, of the windshield replacement truck, was spider-webbed with cracks. Really? Yes, really.

First class service in an Emergency!…read more My wife was attending a conference in Philadelphia and came out to find the rear window of her SUV smashed in by some would be thief. While she was driving home from the conference in freezing December weather, I was on the phone with various auto glass companies. Rear windows are a challenge - defoggers, odd shapes, and mountings. Rear windows on a 14 year old car - major supply challenge The best Safelite could do was 2 weeks. Another shop sent me to a junk yard to see if I could find a window that they would mount. Enter Finish Line. I could hear the empathy on the phone. They explained the sourcing problems, placed some calls, and then called me back a short time later, having tracked down the the glass. Within 24 hours we had a newly installed, fully functional rear window. And the price? Very reasonable and the best of all the companies I called. Installed, it was cheaper than the parts quotes I received elsewhere. Great people! Great and timely service! No problems - just like new! Don't go anywhere else!
