One of my most recommended spots in Nashville for authentic flavors & great service…read more Hungry? Show up ready to feast on a large selection of mezze, entrees, sides, and more. I'm a sucker for lamb so I always get some version of it and am never disappointed. I've gone with one person and with a large group. They're always so accommodating to make sure everyone fits at the table like family. Inside is no frills, but warm and inviting. Feels like you're eating at someone's house.

I thought that was cool and all of the food we tried was Very good, fresh and flavorful. The staff were nice and friendly and the food came out in about 15 minutes. They serve Cold Apps, Hot Apps, Entrees, Salads, Pasta, Sandwiches, Shawarma, Vegetarian Dishes, Kabobs, Desserts and they also do a Family Style Menu if you Group Dine in a private room. You may have to reserve that room. I would call first for that option. They have been serving Turkish and Kurdish Cuisine for over 20 years, so they know what they're doing. They are located about 13 minutes out of Nashville down Nolensville Road close to the Nashville Zoo. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. To finish the review I will say they aslo cater and there is plenty of free parking. Enjoy!

I had heard about this place by word of mouth. Its tucked away a little off the main road. If you…read moresee "The Horn" that is the parking lot you need to go to to park for here. It is Somali cuisine. Most of the dishes are a meat with either pasta or rice. I got the Goat with rice. They give you a pitcher of what seems like orange kool aid (sorry no disrespect). I can't really have sweets so I asked for a bottle of water. The staff members were friendly and accommodating. There is a sink on the outside of the men's room and I know in places like Afghanistan, they have these sinks to wash your hands because you eat with your hands - it is sunna to eat with your hands (spoons are also provided). They also have a little sectioned off area for people to pray in a similar way that places like House of Kebab have a prayer room. Everything is Halal and there seemed to be a fair amount of people in there. The rice was very flavorful. It reminded me of the rice at Al Rasoul or Osh. It had some raisin and red onion - the flavor combination was very delicious. The goat was as expected. The flavor was good, be wary of small bones. The cost may seem higher than expected but it was a LOT of food. I ate off it for the next several days. Also if you want to support a locally owned Somali business I recommend it.

Delicious and authentic Persian food! There is a kebab or mix plate here for everyone - carnivores,…read morepescatarians and vegetarians alike! The restaurant is well established and doesn't rely on frills and gimmicks to attract their clientele. Lots of brown and neutrals dominate the aesthetic - cultural decor and an occasional tv can be spotted along the walls. All the kebabs are well seasoned and full of flavor. The meat is both crispy and juicy. The complimentary pita is served warm and is pillowy soft. Some of my favorite hidden gems on this menu are on the appetizer list. Don't skip over the chefs appetizer with creamy cheese, olives, herbs and ground walnuts! I also love the light but flavorful white bean soup with tomato broth and generous chunks of chicken.

They maintain an impressively enormous menu with just about every style of kabob on the planet! They also serve lamb shanks, gyros, and falafel among other options. The lamb is extraordinarily tender and pretty tasty, although the flavor isn't nearly as good as the best I've eaten in the Middle East. But I have unfairly high standards as a world traveler. The beef dishes are very good too, but again, not the best I've had. The service is fantastic with welcoming employees who make you feel right at home. House of Kabob is a worthy stop if you love Persian cuisine.
