Live in Celina and use A&G for all of my vehicle needs and repairs. Good, decent people that do solid work. Won't use anyone else.

I needed front brake service on my truck ASAP--so same day. I spoke to Daniel when I called and he…read morelistened to my situation and explained what I could expect service time wise. I was waited on immediately when I arrived by another employee who great too. The waiting room was pretty busy, the lobby was clean with plenty of furniture to get comfortable if I had to wait. I was quickly checked in and again confirmed what I could expect regarding the completion time. My truck was done faster than I expected and I'm looking forward to returning there for future maintenance and repairs. Nice professional atmosphere too.

Quite possibly the worst automotive service experience I've ever had…read more I brought my car in on a Monday because the brakes felt like they were not engaging properly. Brakes Plus recommended a brake fluid flush. They ultimately performed SIX flushes and told me the problem still wasn't resolved, so they said the master cylinder needed to be replaced. I was told the car would be ready by noon the next day. By 5 p.m., I still hadn't received a call, so I went to the shop. We were there until around 8 p.m. while they tried to figure out why the brakes now would not disengage--the exact opposite of the problem I originally brought the car in for. I left the car overnight. On Wednesday, they called and said it was ready. I picked it up, backed out of the parking space, and the brakes locked up. I left it again. On Thursday, they once again told me it was fixed. I went to pick it up, and the brakes locked up AGAIN as I tried to leave. By Friday, we finally picked up the car and it appeared to be working. Less than one month later, my brakes began grinding badly. This was especially concerning because Brakes Plus had specifically told me my brakes, pads, and related components were in good condition and that the master cylinder was the issue. At that point, I no longer trusted this shop, so I took the car to another mechanic. According to the second shop, the master cylinder never needed to be replaced. The actual problem was a bent caliper pin--a relatively inexpensive repair. I was also told that one of my brakes had been continuously locking up, which caused additional damage and wore the brake components down to the point that the pads and rotors now had to be replaced. What should have been a relatively simple repair turned into approximately $3,000 in total costs. I have submitted multiple complaints to Brakes Plus corporate and have received no meaningful response. Because of the unnecessary repairs, repeated failed attempts to return my vehicle in working condition, and the additional damage I was told resulted from the unresolved brake issue, I am pursuing the matter in small claims court. My experience was that parts were replaced without the underlying problem being correctly diagnosed or resolved. I would not trust this location with my vehicle and would strongly recommend taking your car elsewhere
