We were lucky to find these great guys, Dave and Bill, at Creative Rockeries back in 2012 when we…read moreneeded someone to position large rocks by some newly planted trees. We were very happy with the result and asked them to take a look at a sloping bank where only weeds could survive, almost 100 ft in length, along the edge of our property. We had previously been told that due to the limited access, a rock wall would not be possible. However, Dave came up with a plan for a beautiful 2-tier rock wall that he then went on to build by hand. We were so delighted by the result as we could now plant 2 levels of gorgeous shrubs and flowers in the rich topsoil (provided by Dave). I've lost count of the many compliments received from passers-by over the years! Since that first wall, the guys have been back and built another rockery using larger rocks, installed a gravel area, and just this year added several feet to the original 2-tier rock wall. Everything that the guys at Creative Rockeries have created for us has been top-rate. Dave can really visualize the end result while the rest of us see just a pile of rocks. He carefully chooses rocks that complement the surrounding landscaping and gives us something not only functional but so much more attractive than the alternative of concrete blocks. Here's the bad: They've gotten very expensive at $55 per hour per gardener and require a one year contract. Your lead/contact gardener will NOT be on site while work is done. You will see gardeners on their phones while working one-handed. We have a hydrangea that borders on our neighbor's garden. The PPNW gardeners chose to prune only half of it leaving it weird looking and incomplete. Why they didn't knock on the door or call to ask if it was okay to prune the whole thing is a question unanswered by owner Shannon. Instead, she chose to cut off service to us as she felt it was rude of us to ask.
