Previously we were not using our backyard too often - we had huge leyland cypresses along our fenceline that absolutely choked any sunlight out of the backyard. We had moss everywhere, grass that struggled to grow in the shade and grew patchy, and some large magnolia trees that would constantly get damaged by the winter snows. We love being outdoors and spending time in our backyard, but wanted to upgrade the space. We worked with Nick to create a custom plan and redesign our backyard from the ground up, including a covered patio area with BBQ grill and flat top, mini fridge, and a beautiful stone fireplace. Nick's team wrapped the columns of the patio cover with stone, and laid it all out on a bluestone paved patio. He was also able to accommodate a hot tub, and finished it all off with lovely landscaping and plants. We even added a shed and wired it up as an extra entertainment room. Throughout the whole process Nick was patient and accommodating, and was flexible as we encountered problems or changes that needed to be made. Nick's guys were on time and professional, and basically spent months with them as they did their work! Would highly recommend Mill Creek Landscapes for your backyard project, big or small.

Boom. Correct. We already had a design from a landscape architect but Nick was able to adjust our rough plans to be even more precise and suitable for the space. His crew was equally conscientious. At least three separate times, Tony asked for my opinion on what he had started building, and when I said, "How about this way instead?" he graciously took the more time-consuming route to ensure all of his meticulous stone work made me smile. We could not be happier with our new space. All the neighbors are jealous. Hire these guys if you can!

This review is especially for Mathew, whose attention to detail and quality bar when it comes to maintaining the yard is second to none. We hired him and his colleague because he did such a fantastic job on our neighbor's yard and even helped tidy up the small strip of our yard next to our neighbor with the massive pine cones, so that's when we knew we had to officially hire this company and have him come do our yard bi-weekly! They've always shown up as promised and we would recommend them to anyone looking for yard maintenance.

All was going well until, as usual, they blew all the stuff into the next door neighbors yard and sidewalk, that she had just yesterday worked so hard to spruce up. I know it's the nature of using a blower that makes it more difficult to make a pile and pick it up, but they must have a broom and dustpan. What makes it worse is I'm sure they're doing this everywhere they work, and aggravating all those neighbors.

Maybe it would be a good idea to chat with the crew to see if they can top my tree since they'll already have the bucket truck there? I meet Jeff, he's nice enough and seems to know his job well. He's got the bucket truck set up in between my neighbor's trees and mine, all ready to go. It cost $350 to top my tree not including disposal, which we'll handle. It was done in less than ten minutes total and didn't require moving the truck, as three other workers hang out on the ground to watch the show. I'm glad Jeff is good at his job, but wow. Apparently it would've cost a few hundred more if the truck wasn't already there. I know a few other reviews have praised their competitive pricing, but that's nearly as much as I recently paid for someone to climb and trim branches 60' off the ground. Every coin has two sides I guess. Maybe they can offer competitive prices on other jobs because of easy jobs like mine? Yelp calls 3 stars "OK" and that's how I felt about the work that was done for the price. It's OK, I guess. I probably wouldn't consider them for other work on my property based on this experience.
