I finally was able to cancel by replying to a confirmation text. Not a great way to do business. There are too many other options out there and I took one of them.

Update as of 5/10/24: I used their services again in Feb 2024 because half of the power went out in my house. A different Mr. Electric technician came and diagnosed the issue as one of the "legs" not working. The entire right side of my breaker wasn't working due to the error. The technician advised me to reach out to my electricity service provider, so I did and they were able to correct the outage issue. I was provided a handwritten note on the back of a scrap of paper from Mr Electric's technician detailing the reason for the outage (one "leg" not working) and an official invoice that just said "diagnostics". No other distinguishable information was listed on the official invoice. I needed a specific official document detailing what service was done and what was diagnosed so that I could seek reimbursement from my electrical provider. When I called Mr Electric to inquire about additional documentation, I was told that there was none. Also, the technician that came in Feb 2024, no longer worked for the company. A male got on the phone and informed me that the technician was separated due his poor performance and did not leave on good terms. I was then given the former employee's personal cell phone number to reach out to him directly to get the information that I needed. I asked why would I reach out to him, if he no longer worked for the company. I need an official document stating what was diagnosed. Common sense should tell you that he couldn't provide that because he doesn't work for the company anymore! I was being told just anything to get off the phone. This is unacceptable and disappointing. Mr. Electric is way too expensive to have such poor documentation. Also, releasing an employee's reason of separation and personal information is a huge HR "no no". Very unprofessional and could lead to lawsuits. I will not be using their services again.

They come out promptly, are good at diagnosing problems and getting your unit up and cooling again quickly and without unnecessary drama. Michael, one of the A/C techs, has taken care of us for years. I knew his wife and she called him at the first sign of a problem. He is friendly and excellent at what he does. He helped us choose a larger, 2-stages unit with dehumidifier when we saw or unit was underserved. Our…read moreA/C service company identified overheating problems with multiple circuit breaker switches (temps were 150º plus) in our breaker box as the cause. His recommendation was to call an electrician immediately or risk a fire, so we did... Mr. Electric. We called in a work request to Mr. Electric, Lafayette. LA at 3:53PM thinking... well, it's a Sunday; they won't be able to come here until Monday. Wrong. Mr. Kevin Faulk was at our house within 45Min and determined that the entire breaker panel needed replacement - and was willing to do it that day... on a Sunday. It turns out that he couldn't, because he needed a part. He could have just left and waited until he had the parts he needed to return, but he didn't. He turned off all unnecessary circuits and temporarily replaced the A/C breaker, so we wouldn't die from the heat. Before departing, he made sure the new temporary circuit breaker was not overheating. The next day he was here bright and early and did the entire replacement. It took about 5 hours work and required coordination with, and inspection by the electric company that provides our power. We've used Mr. Electric several times before for various projects, and had been happy with them, but this time was a big deal. Considering they put in that much work and used top of the line equipment (Square D by Schneider Electric), the final bill was very reasonable in our opinion.
