They could have added on unnecessary fees and services like the dealer tried to do, but they didn't. They needed the car overnight, but fixed and corrected the issues properly. There is a reason why this company's rating is 5 stars.... because there service is REALLY 5 stars (6 honestly, but the scale doesn't go that high). Anyways, climbed in my car after the torrential downpour earlier this week only to discover my rear end was SOAKED... My sunroof had leaked and the drivers side was flooded. Great. My dad and I took a look at it, and it looked like dry rot, so we called my usual mechanic to try to schedule an appointment, but after talking to him for a few minutes he said it sounded like the seal needed to be replaced, but they don't do that. I called around to several places in the area & in New Orleans, and either they didn't do the work, they wanted to charge an exorbitant amount of money, or they were Ford and wanted to replace the whole unit because it was a motor problem (a $1200 repair). Finally got a hold of Zoom Tech, and spoke to Austin who got me to come in for them to take a look to see if they could replace it, and they told me it might be a simpler (cheaper), solution, so they convinced me to leave it with them to run some diagnostics. $60ish later, it was a simple cleaning problem. They saved me money AND unnecessary stress, and they even gave me a discount on an oil change (plus checked my brakes/rotated tires/other maintenance inspection). What sets them apart: 1. They listen 2. They don't try to overcharge you or sell you a horse and cart when you just need the cart. 3. They called me before doing ANYTHING, and gave me a detailed work-up of what needed to be done, and how much (right down to the tax!) 4. They checked everything else out on my car and then gave me advice on proper maintenance and things to check regularly to keep from having huge bills down the line 5. They even gave me a ride to work, so I wouldn't be inconvenienced! (It wasn't even necessary, they're just THAT nice). So support your local businesses, especially ethical, family-run, old-fashioned businesses and bring your car here instead of selling your first-born child to the devil, I mean, the dealership. read more

We are traveling in a camper and had some break issues. We weren't able to find anyone who could help until I reached out to Zoom Tech. They had good reviews and I can see why. They were about an hour from where we were staying but worth the drive. They got us in and taken care of as quickly as they could. They drove me to a cafe near the library and later picked me up in my truck so we could drive it together and make sure it was all ok before I took it home. Brett the owner answered the phone very cheery on Saturday morning when I called. I inquired how long he would be open. He first asked what my issue was. I explained and over the phone he already had a good guess what might be the problem. He told me to come in ASAP to make sure there was not a safety issue. I took it over and he said it would only take 10 minutes. I had a ride with me. Told him we would run down to the bank and stop back by after. We were gone maybe 20 minutes and he was done and handed me my keys. He explained there was no safety issue, all looked good and what to do going forward should the warning light come on again. NO CHARGE! Now, that is what I call service! Only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is because he did not fix my vehicle. If he ever does, I will update my review. read more

I had a great experience with Zoom Tech. I was traveling in South Louisiana from Atlanta and developed a transmission fluid leak at the connection hoses to the cooler on my '08 Nissan Xterra. Service writer Austin did a super job getting me set up for one of the techs to work on my vehicle first thing that morning. I needed to wait for the work to be done and they got me all taken care of in a couple of hours for a reasonable price (including a discount for one of their online Fall specials and cash payment). An honest, competent and fairly priced mechanic! Previously, we had taken our car to the Honda dealership 4 times to fix a check engine light and stalled acceleration. Each time they told us it was fixed only to have the light return on the way home or within a few days. Finally, we gave up. My wife found Zoom Tech online because of its good reviews. However, I'm naturally suspicious of all mechanics. Fortunately, my fears were unfounded. Brett diagnosed the problem quickly, which turns out was caused by the Honda dealership in the first place, and fixed it for a lot less than the dealership would have. Great Honest Place! I thought I was up against a new alternator and a $500+ price tag. After Brett ran a complex diagnosis he found a small problem in the Idle Motor and fuel system. He could've ripped me off but saved me hundreds of dollars and cleaned the fuel system throughout. My Honda is back to perfect and Zoom has a new client for life. I would recommend Zoom to anyone. The folks at Zoom Tech have done a great job the past couple of months looking after my car, and more recently my wifes Jeep as well. They are very professional, fair, honest and reasonably priced. In spite of a parts supply issue from Chrysler, they bent over backwards to accommodate us. Being from out of town, I needed to have some repair work done on my car. I had the parts and drove over to get them installed - a water pump and belt tensioner (About $80 total from Autozone). It's a simple enough job which should take me (a not too good mechanic) about 2 hours to do. The guys did a great job and had my car in an out in solid time. It was definitely time for the water pump to go. Total charge was about $396 for tabor, in addition to the $80 in parts I already spent in Autozone. read more

I "purchased" a Scooter from Keith to give to my daughter for Christmas, 4 days from now, shook hands and signed the transfer papers with the intentions of picking the Scooter up the next day with cash; instead of a bank draft.
