I drive all the way from Santa Monica to get my nails done by Mai. That alone should say enough about how satisfied I am with A&B Nails. I was introduced to gel extensions when I was up in the Valley, and was in dire need of a refill. Unfortunately, the nail salon I go to next to my house doesn't offer that service. I was in the Los Al area and saw that A&B offers it so I took a chance and don't regret it. Mai is extremely professional, yet is very personable and genuinely cares about her clients. She's detail oriented and always does an amazing job with my nails. I always leave happy! I also love how flexible she is - any time I need a last minute appointment, she always makes time for me AND is always on time. 5 Stars We celebrated my daughter's 6th birthday at A&B Nails, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the experience! The salon was immaculately clean, the atmosphere was welcoming and beautifully set up, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make the day special. We had a party of seven kindergartners along with their parents, and every single person left happy and impressed. The nail technicians were incredibly patient and kind, taking their time with each child and even re-touching polish when the little ones smudged their nails (because we all know sitting still at age six is a challenge!). Their grace and attentiveness did not go unnoticed. A&B Nails truly allowed their space to be transformed into something so sweet, special, and memorable--it was the perfect backdrop for our celebration. I really wanted to love this place because the staff were genuinely so kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, the quality of the nail work just didn't match the level of service. My nails turned out poorly -- uneven shaping, sloppy polish application, and they started chipping way too soon after my appointment. It was disappointing, especially given how sweet and attentive everyone was. I appreciate their friendliness, but I probably wouldn't return unless the quality of the actual nail work improves. I called to let them know I wanted a refund, however they said that I come in for them to fix it. I don't want them fixed I want my money back. I wanted to love this place considering how nice the staff was being, but the service was not the standard I was hoping for. This was our first and LAST time here. I showed the lady what I had wanted (top photo) and bottom is what I got. I wore my engagement ring (unknowingly cause I'm newly engaged), the way she was filing so close and rough towards my ring and not considering I had jewelry on should have been the first red flag. I didn't feel comfortable to the point where I gave my ring to the person I was with cause the staff was so rough. Second was there were a few times the lady cut not only my skin, but the person who I brought with me. When a person retracts their hand cause it's painful you would want to take caution of how you proceed moving forward. Even though I showed her what I wanted she originally didn't shape my nails until I kept insisting and at the last moment when they added the iridescent color they changed it from the white glossy color to the pink which made the color look more dull. I was fine with the original color cause had I known it would be an additional $10 for the iridescent coating I wouldn't have done it. Wasn't worth it. I wouldn't recommend anyone coming here especially for what we paid. Unsatisfied and now have to live with these expensive nails. read more

Not sure how or why my original comment was deleted. Please use caution with this place. The original ladies Lin and Julie were great. I have had my nails done by 3 new people since the new owners took over. My dip used to last 4-6 weeks. Now after a few day it stays lifting. I have had 2 new guys and one girl work on my nails over a couple of visits. My daughter gets her nails dipped as well. I always have her done by the original ladies. And her nails are PERFECT, beautiful, and last long as normal. The last visit, the guy cut really deep into my nails as he was taking off the dip. The dip is lifting after only a few days and is ripping my poor nails away with it. My nails and finger tips are painful to the touch. I've never had such a bad experience. I will only go back if Lin is working. She is amazing. Your nails will be beautiful and will last long... and no pain! read more

The shop is well taken care of and nicely set up and the staff is super friendly. They don't force any service down your throat and just want you to be happy. I got a full set and a gel pedicure. Now I'm a very picky person when it comes to my nails (from shape, to style to length, you name it); John was very professional and took it all in stride. He followed my design request to a T and checked in with me throughout the process to make sure I was satisfied. The woman who did my pedicure (I think her name was Lynn?) was super sweet and did a good job as well. But John took the cake and I definitely will be returning in two weeks for a fill! read more
