It's a small shop with two technicians. When I went in, one of the techs was inquiring about her client's family member. She had a warm and happy demeanor with her regular customers. I'd like to let people know that because it's a small business, their inventory isn't going to be as extensive as a larger salon. Secondly, with one person tending to a client for an hour or more, their rates are about $35. If broken down, they're not earning much per hour, especially given some people's attitudes. Be kind, be nice, or find someplace else. read more

I had to ask multiple times for her to clean up excess polish around my nails and gave up after they were still super messy. There are also air bubbles which she "fixed" by putting clear nail polish on top. They look the same, but I just wanted to get out of there. Zero Stars! I live literally right above them. I finally decided to check it out because my husband and I are celebrating our anniversary this weekend. I checked and made sure that they were open (they close at 6, it was 4:40 when I walked downstairs). I walked in and the nail lady said "Why are you here?" And I said, "um, I'm looking to get my nails done." She then looks me up and down really slowly and says, "No. we're closed now. " ...As she was doing people's nails... as I looked and checked they were still open... there were only 2 people getting their nails done, and no one in the waiting area. My husband then decided to call, and she LAUGHED AT HIM and said, "Oh we're soooooo busy right now, no. Sorry." If you look different, then avoid at all costs. With only the 2 working, they are definitely busy. I have a stroke affected hand so need someone willing to take the time to work with me. NEVER a problem at all. Prices are great too. I've lived in Shelton for almost 14 years and I've tried just about every other nail salon in town and in Olympia. I've been having the owner, Anne, do my acrylic nails and pedicures since they opened about 7 years ago. I couldn't be happier with the quality and service compared to the other places. The two girls who work there are "sisters" and are both very sweet. Anne speaks very good English, but Tee doesn't, but she's very friendly. I do recommend you make an appointment because it is just the two ladies, but if you can wait, they always fit people in! Their prices are very reasonable too! read more

I had some time to kill in Shelton so I took a chance....I shouldn't have. The best thing I have to say about this place is that the lady that did my nails was extremely pleasant. She was actually so sweet that I gave her a tip despite the fact that this was the worst and most expensive gel manicure I've ever had ($27) She painted all over my finger tips and cuticles while leaving bare spots on my nails, she tried to remove the botched spots with acetone after curing the polish, which doesn't work. She clipped the corners of two of my nails so they are crooked and jagged. The place seemed to be churning with regulars so I'm assuming someone there must do a good job but that certainly wasn't my experience. They were nice tho and probably would have fixed it if I'd complained but frankly I was out of free time and they would have had to completely re-do it, so I just paid and left. So disappointed. I was recommended by a friend. My nails are chipping already and I just got home like some one else had stated my polish is all over my fingers and very in even . I live to far to go back and get the fixed. I'm now going to have to pay again to get them fixed. read more

After disappointment at Lily's, I came back to AandB. Love the girls here and they do everything they can to accommodate you. However, the gal that gave me a pedicure this time, did the worst job I have ever had. Nail polish was missing from areas plus of some of my toes and the nail polish was up on my cuticles. I waited for 40 min to have a simple manicure after calling first for an appointment. They used the wrong tool for most every job: cuticle trimmers to trim my nails, dremmel tool to buff the top on my nails (leaving deep gouges in the nails), and not washing my hands before applying polish. Now it looks like there are little bubbles under the polish. Very frustrating after 90 minutes for a manicure. read more
