The atmosphere is very chill yet a bit upscale. Not a cut off jeans and tank top place for sure. The staff that waited on us was super friendly and on top of everything. You walk in and immediately know you are not in some polished Instagram cocktail lounge. It is loud, a little gritty, and full of people who are clearly there to have a good time and not pretend otherwise. The beer is cold, the Lone Star flows like Texas water, and the vibe is pure old school Austin. And yes, the legendary bathroom situation deserves its own paragraph. The men's room features a giant ice filled trough for a urinal, which feels like something out of a 1970s roadside saloon documentary. Somehow it is both ridiculous and perfectly on brand. It actually becomes a conversation starter because you walk out laughing and immediately tell your friends they have to see it and go pee. The crowd was friendly, the bartenders were quick with the beers, and nobody was taking themselves too seriously. I ended up staying longer than planned, drinking Lone Stars and talking to random people like we had known each other for years. If you want craft cocktails served with a rosemary sprig this is not your place. If you want a hilarious, slightly chaotic, authentically divey night in Austin with cheap beer and great stories, Dirty Bill's absolutely delivers. Five stars and I would go back in a heartbeat.

They were spinning some popular tunes. The place was packed with a very fun crowd. It appears to be a bar you come to have drinks and chat. There was a small area where dancing could take place, but no one was dancing at the time. The staff including the general manager was super friendly. It felt like a wedding reception as you came into the club where you were greeted...very warm and welcoming. We had a drink and stayed a short while. It looked like a place you could come for a girls or guys night out or celebrating a fun occasion. Will definitely consider Dirty Bill's for a future fun evening...

The food was phenomenal. We ordered the lamb, salmon, baby broccolini, and truffle fries, and every single dish was a 10/10. I also had the theatrical mushroom cocktail for my birthday, and it was absolutely worth it. The aromatic fog smelled incredible, and the drink itself tasted like a refreshing cucumber-jalapeño cocktail. My only downside was how close the tables are together. It can feel like you're part of the conversation at the next table, and I'm sure they can hear yours too. Aside from that, the food, drinks, and service made for an amazing dining experience. I'd definitely come back!

Guest house yet again you stole our hearts!…read more First of all, I know exactly how to respect the space. Everybody around town knows that when you go to guest house you're supposed to look your best. Anytime I feel like dressing up and going out to dinner. I know this is the place to be because everybody else around knows and respect the unspoken rules. This time around, however, we wanted to pop over for happy hour right after watching the US vs AUS game. I had an extra change of clothes in my car, but most of the people with me didn't. I called guest house ahead of time to see if they could fit us in with some people wearing not the fanciest clothes. And they told us as long as we're not wearing athletic wear we're fine. That led to only one person having to go home and change before we went there. And they welcomed us all with open arms, even though I showed up with two extra people on my reservation. Leah was our server and she literally was the best part of our meal despite the food being top-notch. We ordered nearly everything on the menu. Devoured the tuna and salmon cones. Absolutely loved the spicy rigatoni. The burger, which I believe is the best burger in Austin, the chicken tenders, the wings. The desserts every single thing was impeccable. Since a lot of my friends were coming to the guest house for the first time with me after we were all done eating and stuffed to the T, I ordered the group 2 slices of their House bread and told everyone to just trust me. The number of people that literally begged me to not do that because they were too full was insane and in the end when they all tried the bread they were like, thank you for staying persistent and introducing us to this incredible revolution. Because that's exactly what their bread is. A buttery flaky, heavenly blend of a croissant and bread that straight up melts on your mouth. I can keep going on and on about this place but never ever ever have I ever seen a drop in service here no matter how busy they are.

I recently came with two friends and we ended up splitting a bottle of their sauvignon blanc which was truly perfection on a warm day. We also tried their fondue and obviously snagged a bruschetta board. We opted to the brie apple fig, warm artichoke, pepper jam goat cheese, and a prosciutto for our omnivore friend. I loved all the ones that I tried but the pepper jam & artichoke definitely stand out as my favorites. I'm obsessed with the whole concept and feel like its the perfect snack to pair with wine. I mentioned it to our waitress and she was super accommodating, swapping it out for a glass of wine she recommended, which I appreciated even though the wine itself was just okay. I also got the green garden chop salad without chicken, which was fresh and light but honestly not worth $17. Overall the place feels pretty overpriced for what you actually get taste-wise. That said, the location, service, and atmosphere were lovely. I'd consider going back for the vibe!!

We did have a little service hiccup when our server left us waiting for quite a while. I also understand that things happen and sometimes a busy restaurant gets hectic, so I don't want to judge the entire experience based on that. What impressed me was how Khloe, the manager, stepped in and handled it. She was incredibly helpful and made sure we were taken care of, which really changed the experience for the better. The atmosphere is a lot of fun. Good music, sports playing on the TVs, bottomless mimosas, and games for anyone who wants to make a day of it. There's something for pretty much everyone in the group. Next time I'll definitely be trying some of the games. Between the food, drinks, music, sports, and overall vibe, this is pretty much the definition of a Sunday Funday spot. I'll definitely be back!

Surprisingly, the restaurant wasn't very busy, so we were expecting a smooth experience. We ordered the bottomless mimosas, the chili crispy chicken eggs Benedict, and the chicken and waffles. The standout dish was definitely the chili crispy chicken eggs Benedict. It was flavorful, very filling, and easily my favorite thing I ordered. I would order it again if ever come back. The bottomless mimosas came pre-made in a pitcher, which was convenient, but they tasted more like juice than champagne. If you're expecting a traditional mimosa, you may be disappointed. Unfortunately, the chicken and waffles were our least favorite dish. The chicken batter was very thick, little to no seasonings and had a yeasty flavor, and the waffles were much sweeter and cakey than expected. The flavors didn't balance well, and my boyfriend wasn't able to finish even a third of his meal. Service started off well and our waitress was friendly, but as brunch went on we found ourselves having to flag her down multiple times for refills and assistance. Since the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, this was surprising. The biggest downside was the value. For the prices being charged, we expected a higher quality dining experience. While the eggs Benedict were decent, the rest of the food and service didn't quite justify the cost. The ambiance was also lacking. For a brunch spot, especially one we chose for a birthday celebration, the atmosphere felt pretty flat and didn't add much to the overall experience. Overall, there were some highlights, especially the eggs Benedict, but there were enough misses that we left feeling the experience was average rather than memorable for a birthday celebration.
