He shows up and tells me the fee is $290 per hour for five men. Plus he is also there so it will be six men and I will pay him $40 an hour in addition to what I had agreed on. He then after several hours informed me his crew would not help me pack what I had not gotten to when they knew I had to be all the way out by the end of that day. I was left with days of work I have to do by myself. And this is after I paid $2700 for movers to come. The attitude with the owher--his explanation for leaving a 60 year old woman to do all this by herself? "We have a big job to do tomorrow, too, and it would be too tiring for the crew to do all this and then the big job tomorrow, too. To top it off... when I can back to my condo to face this nightmare, I found boxes packed and ready to go that were simply left.

Skipping ahead to the actual move date, Jared and his moving partner got there earlier than expected (Mike had just returned from a long-distance move so had someone else do this one) and on their own put each furniture piece in its intended spot, set up the bed as requested and made the new smaller space as convenient to move around in as possible. (They had also broken down the bed, and packed some larger wall art. Mike was there on the loading up side.) They were very communicative throughout the whole process. Mike himself was very friendly and no-nonsense when he came over to do the estimate, and even later when things were settled more specifically, the modest price increase was expected and very fair. This was with an extra drop off location along the way. Everyone was also really lovely with my mom, which in any situation would be important, but given that her life was being turned upside-down was very important to me. I recommend them very highly.

The worker had a power screwdriver and just kept jamming on the screws until their heads stripped. I ended up going to Home Depot to buy new screws and fixed them myself. That guy should learn how to use a power tool correctly and with the correct-sized bit. Also, my coffee table was dinged in two places. The table was purchased new and covered with a glass top, so it was damage free when they picked it up. I told Mike, sent before and after pictures, but he doubted me, asked for another picture, then tried to say that it was already there, which it wasn't. He then said the insurance would "cover" it, but with the deductible, he wasn't paying anything. I insisted he make it right. He refused. That is bad business, and I cannot recommend this mover. So petty, and to imply that I was wrong is unacceptable. Avoid this mover. They will damage your furniture, strip any screws if they have to disassemble, and won't pay for the damage that they caused.

I did a lot of research before picking Nomadex and found that they had the best value. Other moving companies have hidden costs like charging for transportation time before arrival time or other fees, but Nomadex has honest pricing and were quick to give me a quote. They were extremely professional, on time, and very efficient. Moving is a stressful time but I felt at ease as they were taking care of everything. I was happy to see them blanket and shrink wrap all my furniture, so that there wouldn't be any stains or scratches during the process. They were able to efficiently disassemble furniture when necessary as well. I was moving a 600 sq ft apartment to a house 15 minutes away. The whole move was done very fast in 3 hours (the initial quote was 3-5 hours)! I will definitely use call then again the next time I move!

Would give zero stars if I could, DO NOT HIRE!!…read more 1) Sadly, MULTIPLE items were damaged: a) hallway closet, b) brand new nightstands were chipped ($400/each), c) mod credenza ($2k) and TV ($1k) were scratched. Our hardwood was initially scratched but thankfully they were able to rub that off. The owner, Salim, took no ownership and was unresponsive after I sent photos citing the damage. Despite claiming to be insured, it carried no weight in protecting my items. 2) Most pieces were not wrapped in blankets or shrink wrap as promised (none of the larger, fragile items were which was odd). 3) They moved painfully slow to the point where my boyfriend ended up helping to expedite the process. For context: It took (1) company 1hr to disassemble and move out; it took Nomadex 2hrs. with no disassembly and less furniture. 4) Movers were late. 5) Cherry on top: One of the movers, blew up my bathroom twice for a combined total of 30min. After the first 15 min, I walked in to see where he'd gone only to hear him listening to ESPN on his phone. Second time, resulted in 3 flushes later... I was offered $50 off with no accountability over the damaged items - citing "they covered it with a blanket in the truck" and they tried to charge me for 3.5 hours. I said I would only pay for 3hrs. since they were late, we had to help move half of it and the bathroom blow up took up more time than anticipated. In short, I was appalled and furious over the disappointing experience. I hired Nomadex for a seamless move and to protect items I've worked really hard for. He took my remaining items that could not fit in the truck and put them in the back of an open pickup, NO cover and drove in the rain.
