Second experience, arrangement was made with another transporter to pick up our 2nd car and delivery to FL on certain date, but he arrived one day early and we were not yet in FL. We were not there to pay him, and he threatened to take our car across the state and leave it somewhere else at his convenience. Used A-AAA (for a second time) to send my car from CA to NJ in summer of 2020. Pickup in CA was on-time, but the driver was rude and unpleasant. He did not wear a mask and gave me crap when I asked about him about it. A-AAA's dispatch contacted me later how pickup went and I told them about the incident. They said they were aware that some of their drivers having disregard for masks. Car arrived in NJ in a timely manner. However, the BATTERY WAS DEAD. My car had a new battery installed a few months before, and did not have any issues. This (different) driver wore a mask and he manually pushed the car off the truck since it was dead. Thankfully, this driver kindly offered to help try jump starting my car from his big rig! After a while, we got it going, so thank you to that driver. read more

TL;DR - Do not use this company. They lure you in with kind words and competitive pricing, but if there are any hiccups in the process, you realize how rude, incompetent and unwilling to assist this company really is. Trust me - you don't want the stress and lost sleep that A-AAA Auto Transport has given me. I have had my car shipped across the country multiple times with other companies and there were barely any issues - and when they were, the companies were proactive about communication and finding a solution. Apparently that meant that I would get hit with all the issues and zero support when dealing with A-AAA Auto Transport. Based on the other positive reviews, it seems that if you are lucky enough to have no issues, it's smooth sailing. But the minute absolutely anything goes wrong, the customer service becomes horrific. Before we gave them our business, they were incredibly kind and reassuring. But as soon as issues started, those same people practically went silent. This is a shameful ploy by an organization and shows their lack of credibility. We stressed the importance of pick up numerous times. And yet the day before the pick up, the carrier wasn't even communicated to us. Since I was leaving the state, I got incredibly concerned. There was absolutely no urgency on their part to alleviate my concern. Updates were only provided after I'd reach out numerous times. And the majority of the time, the update was 'we don't know'. They didn't manage to know anything until the day after I left the state, so I had to leave my car with friends who had to cancel their weekend plans to wait for a call that never came. Finally, days, numerous unanswered calls and emails later, the car was picked up by a local carrier BUT it was still a question mark as to when it would actually be shipped to my home state. Even more unanswered calls and emails later, finally they managed to get it on the way - and that was only after Ian got involved, but even that line of communication ended up disappointing. I thought to myself, phew! That was a terrible experience filled with ineffective and condescending customer service reps, but maybe it'll be fine now! Nope. The time for delivery, confirmed by Anna in the morning, came and went with no car and no update. More calls and emails that had no response. We got one call - "I don't have an update." Given in a snappy, condescending tone. Wow! Thanks! I totally forgot you were doing me a favor for free! Oh wait - this is a service I'm paying a large amount of money for and all I'm expecting is a basic level of customer service, but they can't manage that. Finally, at 10pm the night before I'm leaving the country for two weeks in the morning, when I should be packing and sleeping instead of stressing over a delivery that is already late, we found out the car wouldn't be arriving until late the next night. What potentially disappoints me most is that they try to defend their unprofessionalism by saying that they have been communicating and engaging. As someone who works in a customer service industry, I cannot even fathom how these people find this remotely acceptable. At least taking some semblance of responsibility would show remorse or a want to improve, but nothing. So please - do your research, look at reviews, and pick a better company than this one. read more

At first they were amazing! They were recommended by a friend. I had to do a cross country move which I've done before and can be difficult. They made everything easy. However, once my car was delivered and I washed it I saw there was a stain from something like oil leaked from another car during transit. I had to pay $175 to get it waxed/detailed in order to remove the "stain" I sent them an email (including pictures) regarding the incident and never heard back from them. I guess once they had their money, I was no longer of any concern to them. read more

I used them in 2016 to move my 2013 Ford Escape from Baltimore to Seattle, and again this year to move the same vehicle from Seattle to Indianapolis (~2,300 miles). They were clear with communication, and my car arrived very quickly - picked up on Thursday February 11th, and dropped off Sunday, February 14th. The driver Vitali was great, wore a mask, and moved fast on pick-up and drop-off, yet allowed me the time I wanted to conduct my own visual inspections. **Buyer Beware** I will first caveat this review as my own personal experience with this auto transport broker and may not reflect others positive experiences. I used Yelp to assist my decision making. Take this review for what it's worth .. I rarely write them. I contacted them to ship my car from CT to CA. Price wasn't cheap but given the positive reviews here I wanted to ensure one of my larger value assets would make it timely and in the same condition when picked up. I contacted them on Tuesday Feb 20th and agreed to work together. They agreed to pick up the car by Thursday or Friday that week. They came Friday afternoon. Today is Saturday, March 10th and the car was just delivered. That's 16 days. They claimed 7-10 days which later turned into 7-10 business days (no weekends but the car got ultimately was delivered on a Saturday). They simply blamed the auto transporter and his mechanical delays for the delay. The entire experience was worrisome, frustrating and infuriating. They never knew where the car was despite me asking several times. The representative I dealt with (Anna) was curt with me and offered little to compensate me for my troubles (delays prompted the need to rent a vehicle to travel that I had clearly articulated along the way). It was literally an arm wrestle to get them to reduce the bill $50. They even told me that they would hold my vehicle hostage in storage if I didn't pay the whole amount. Unreal! The driver told me that this was not unique to my situation. In fact the driver told me it is often his requirement to eat fees that get negotiated off the billing (so perhaps shippers beware). So this company screws customers and business partners. My advice would be to contact a shipper directly and cut out this useless middle man who added nothing more than headache to the situation. I am so disappointed with my experience and the lack of care I received I intend to file a formal grievance with the BBB in the state of CT. read more

Had so much confusion choosing the right people to transport my car from NJ to TX. After reading so many reviews about different transport agencies, came across A-AAA with decent reviews. Checked with them for a quote and was decent. It wasn't less as other agency with bad reviews quote. Decided to go ahead with A-AAA and Maria and her team was really prompt in replies and helpful from the very first moment. I told about my schedule on when the car needs to be picked up. They came back with options on different time window and we chose the one which works best for us. The driver was right there on time as communicated. The drop in Texas was scheduled 5-6 days whereas I got my car the 4th day. Dropped right outside my house and car arrived in the same condition as we loaded in NJ. Thank you A-AAA. Our car was shipped from CA to NJ, estimated arrival 7-10 calendar days, with Anna as the coordinator. Before we booked, we stressed multiple times that the car had to arrive by Dec. 13th which would be 15 days after the car was picked up (should be plenty of buffer). We triple checked with Anna and the courier to make sure they met our requirement because we were only going to be in NJ till then on a 2-week house hunting trip. Both Anna and the courier rep assured us that it would not be an issue unless for weather reasons (and it turned out there was no weather issue during this time) When we asked for the status of the car on Dec 10th (12 days after it was picked up), Anna replied that it was on schedule to be delivered on the 12th or 13th. When asked where exactly the car was, Anna replied that she had no way of telling. How can the broker responsible for coordinating your car transport not knowing where the car is? They know which courier they contract out to and the courier knows how to get in touch with the driver. Or this would be a grand larceny case ready for filing of a missing car police report. Only by us pressing then Anna went to find out where the car was. and she called back the next day saying the hauling truck broke down in N. Mexico, 13 days after they picked up our car! She said it would take another week for them to fix the car. We asked why it would take 13 days to go from Southern CA to N. Mexico (crossed only 2 states?!), which normally takes a day. Therefore it was a total lie when she told us the car was still on schedule to be delivered on the 12th or the 13th. Anna said they needed to wait for the truck to fill up before moving out. And she has seen these guys move the cars across the country in 3 days. And then she pulled the " it is 10 business days, not 10 calendar days trick". When clearly, we got on record that she said 7-10 calendar days before. I then replied that unless they could move the car from N. Mexico to NJ in 1 day, they would still be late with the 10 business-day count. Why couldn't the courier send another truck to pick up the full load in N Mexico? We later found out from the courier that was what they did - (Just too late for our car). our car ended up arriving 20 days after they picked it up in CA and we were not there as we warned them repeatedly! Who was going to check and receive the car? Anna said the driver could check on our behalf and send us photo after the drop off. Seriously?! Who would pay for the storage? Anna first said they would accommodate us even though we told her we wouldn't be back for another month and 10 days. Then, she backed out by saying they couldn't do it due to the length of storage. We asked if the courier could park the car at A-AAA's Stamford CT office parking lot. She said it was under construction. At this point, we were quite used to her talent in making things up to do the minimum so we just said they could park it in her driveway instead. Anna said this was no one's fault except the truck broke down was unexpected. We begged to differ as this was clearly due to poor, risky planning on their end. The courier had been told about the importance of the delivery window (at least Anna said they did) and chose to do the transport in the last 3 days in order to load up the truck. We were in NJ for a full 2 weeks, waiting to receive the car. That was a calculated risk they took on their part that didn't pan out. Moreover, mind you that on one hand they gave lip service to the customer in order to get the business, on the other hand, did whatever they chose to minimize cost with no ethics, no credibility,. They even had the guts to ask us to pay for storage or the return fee to ship the car back to CA! I also contacted A-AAA office to see if the boss had better sense in handling this. Ross insisted we needed to deal only with Anna despite our complaint so that he could run an efficient operation. It is very clear to us the type of "efficient operation" they are referring to! We had better luck with the courier, who was interested in collecting their payment and unloading the car. A-AAA already got their part of the payment upfront and their lack of service and ethics reflects that reality. Why we picked A-AAA despite similar experiences that had been posted on Yelp? We tried hard to research reputable car transport companies and found none. We tried DAS before a few years ago and it was not good. A-AAA was recommended by a reputable moving company, Wheaton-Heritage, therefore, out of limited choices, we decided to try our luck. We would like to share with fellow Yelpers that there are definitely truth to statistics. If I based this off of the quote and the initial contact I had with Ross then they would be getting at least 4 stars. I was flying from CA to AZ to have a car transported back to CA. They needed a minimum of 3 days- we were able to work out a 4 day window. Super. The driver called me saying he would be there to pick up the car- the day before I arrived. Not going to work, but I DO understand drivers run ahead and behind schedule, A-AAA called me and said they would call me TOMORROW and let me know a new pick up time. I e-mailed the next day. Nothing. I called and left a message the day after that. Nothing. By now I am in AZ wondering what the hell is going on. I finally get them on the phone a full 2+ days later and she says they are still working on it. They said they would call me back. Well they called back that afternoon- to say they would pick it up the day AFTER I leave. I am sorry I must have heard wrong- I gave these specific dates from the beginning since I was flying in to have this done. My favorite part being "oh so you want to cancel?" Could not have cared less- no apology, couldn't even fake that she cared. The drop in communication and lack of customer service was beyond a disappointment.
