Unfortunately, something happened this year and it has resulted in Cruz effectively stealing money from me. He indicated I needed a new pool cover and other equipment for my pool. In the past, I've paid a significant deposit and it has not been a problem (parts were typically installed in a couple of days of the deposit unless the parts were on backorder). This summer, he took a deposit for the pool cover and equipment and has yet to install the equipment. Offering up excuses or basically refusing to return my text messages. At this point, with winter approaching, I've run out of options and will be turning this matter over to the police. I would not recommend doing business with Happy Pools.

The pool was supposed to be finished by years end 2020 and it's still unfinished in November 2021. I have continued to make payments during 2021 in hopes the pool will be finished. I paid an additional 40k due to price increases and he once again promised it would be completed before winter 2021. Now material costs have risen once again. Daniel Kamide from Dana Pools is asking for even more money to finish the project that was supposed to be completed in 2020. His new projected completion date is mid 2022. Waiting another winter for them to finish the pool will lead to further damage, possible wall collapse and just a complete waste of time money. The pool has cracks all over which they tried to repair saying a pool liner would solve the issue. I hired another pool company to inspect, and they were shocked to see this type of damage on a new install. They said a pool liner would only last a little while before further cracks appear and cause major issues. The last straw was after the installation of the pumps and equipment. I was notified that Daniel Kamide returned after installing the pumps and started to disconnect everything. He attempted to steal the pumps and equipment he installed a few days earlier. We immediately contacted the Lake Forest police department and luckily, they arrived just before he left. We have begun to peruse legal action against Dana Pools and hope no one else falls for their terrible work and shady practices

They claimed the manufacturer came out to check the installation. Then the men opened up my 2 year old heater and lost a piece. I was so aggravated with them I thought it was better to just have the cover be wrong instead of dealing with them. I used the cover 1 year and the 2nd year the side fell in. They said that wasn't under warranty. I called the manufacturer and they confirmed they never came out, so I was lied to. Two other pool companies told me there is too much material and will probably tear within a few years.

Kept being told my hot tub wasn't ready to go. I asked to get a different one that was supposed to be ready to go and again nothing I gave them $1900 down. Rest would've been given on delivery and they refused to return my money. I was nothing but patient with them and now I don't even hear back from them. I had to have my lawyer send a demand of Refund. And still nothing... I would stay away from this company... I no longer care about getting a hot tub. They have ruined it for me.
