Professional work and clear communication!…read more I took my car to Precision Auto Works of LIC and had a very positive experience. The staff was knowledgeable and took the time to explain the repairs before starting the work. Everything was handled professionally, and the process felt transparent. The quality of the repair was solid, and my car was returned in great condition. Turnaround time was reasonable, though there was a slight delay, which is the only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five. Overall, this is a dependable shop that does quality work. I'd feel comfortable using their services again and recommending them to others.

My car was buried under several feet of snow, which later turned to ice. While I was shoveling around my car to create a path, I didn't realize ice had capped around the bumper, so when I backed out, the bumper partially came off. A friend recommended this shop, and I'm glad I went. Within a day, they ordered a new bumper for me. The part arrived in four days, and by day eight, the bumper was installed. The repair was flawless, and the car looked as good as new. The whole job, including parts and labor, cost about $700, which felt reasonable. I also had to put down a deposit when the parts were ordered, which is standard practice and wasn't an issue. Now, nearly three years later, the bumper is still in great condition with no issues. I highly recommend this shop for their quick, quality work at a good price.

My brother, who loves his cars like his baby, has been taking his car and my dad's three cars for…read morealmost a decade to this shop. Usually, they're easy and fast to schedule, park, and pay for any service, ranging from oil changes to repairs. I'm usually in and out within an hour because my parents are waiting in the lobby and get restless if they're seated too long. What's key for me is their expertise to inspect annually for any maintenance issues and troubleshoot the root causes that cause our car alarm to turn on randomly at night, a faulty transmission, etc. We've tried Honda dealers, but they usually upsell us or charge higher rates where the returns on investment don't support their surcharges. I realized that the staff here is likely too candid to know how to sweet talk customers and sugar coat any recommendations. They tried several times to dissuade my dad from fixing a 2001 Odyssey van because it wasn't worth the value of the car from two decades of depreciation with issues, ranging from air conditioning to a stolen catalytic converter when parked on the street in New York City. However, my dad insisted on repairing it because it was useful for transporting larger items, ranging from equipment to furniture. It's truly hard to find mechanics and a body shop you trust to bring your car and those of your loved ones. It helps that their crew (e.g., Ricky) can speak Chinese slowly and clearly to relate to my dad with his hearing impairments. Nobody's perfect in this imperfect world, so sometimes you need to take a leap of faith and find someone willing to work with you and relay all the info that you need to decide how to move forward or not with fixing your car. For me, it's better to hear the good, bad, and ugly truth than to not know the inside scoop for making a more informed decision, especially the tough ones.

Tire Pros did a full diagnosis and they discovered that in addition to needing new brake pads, the more serious problem was that my brake line was slowly leaking fluid. The fact that they were diligent enough to explore every possible problem shows how much integrity they put into their work. I could have taken my car to a different place, and they could have just replaced my brakes without checking my brake line, and without realizing it, I would've continued living my life being at risk of becoming responsible for a serious collision due to an undiscovered brake fluid leak. I am so grateful to M.I.C. Tire Pros for identifying the root problem and solving it. From management, to the technicians, to the people who run the convenience store section, you can tell that there is a sense of comradery and a familial sense of respect that is shown to everyone. I discovered that this is a family run establishment and that vibe definitely trickles down to their customers. In terms of monetary value, the price I paid for new brakes, a repaired brake line, an oil change and new windshield wipers was more than fair, especially considering their excellent customer service and their quality of work. The peace of mind that comes with knowing that your car is safe to drive is priceless.

Even though Avid clearly had many clients to support, he made me feel like I was the only one with his attention to my case. As an English teacher, I value communication skills above all else. Avid explained everything to me in the clearest terms, both aloud and in writing via text messages. He told me exactly what next steps I needed to take and what I could expect. At all times, it was clear that he was speaking from a wealth of experience, knowledge, and legitimate expertise in the world of auto repair. Everything he told me to expect played out exactly as he described, and I followed his instructions to a very agreeable resolution. At all times, the communication and support were stellar. As the situation resolved, I told Avid that he's now our guy. We will be bringing our new vehicle to Avid for any service needs from this point forward.
