They were super responsive with the best customer service I've ever encountered, clear communication and consistent follow-up throughout the entire process. I originally brought my car in after getting a warning to stop immediately. I called around and got multiple quotes and they had the best deal. Andrew who answered the phone was incredibly friendly and correctly diagnosed it as a battery issue right away. He walked me through the difference between a refurbished and new battery and I chose the refurbished option which came with a one year warranty. Unfortunately the battery failed shortly after but never in my life have I experienced customer service like this. They offered to pick up my car and drop off a loaner. That alone is exceptional. Owner Ivan took full responsibility without hesitation and the turnaround time was phenomenal. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. I don't live nearby but I will absolutely be coming back for all future service. They really take pride and joy in making sure that everything is done well and will provide a solution with the utmost customer service.

This place is great and Christian and Al are even better. When I was young I had to work on my…read morevehicles as I was broke. As an older adult, I started fixing things on my car as needed. At least what I was able to tackle. Finally, I needed a starter on my old Jeep Liberty and was referred to DC Electric by a friend who used them many times in the past. Like normal, I looked online for a starter and decided that I would rather support a local business and rebuild my OEM Starter. This is when I, like many others, ventured to their shop and both Chris and Al were super kind, informative, and explained that it was no big deal and they would call me in the morning. Needless to say, it was ready the next morning, looked great, works great, priced right, and I couldn't be more than happy. I felt really happy about supporting them as a local business. Further, with them taking it apart and checking it all out, would be better than buying another one online. Then, about 6 months later, I determined that my alternator was popping all these funky error codes (process of elimination). This was weird to me as I just replaced the Alternator about a year earlier with a remanufactured one that I bought from the auto parts store (prior to the starter issue noted above). I didn't even hesitate this time and decided that I was going to take it to DC Auto Electric and, once again, Al met me at the shop right before closing and explained that it might be something funky inside (brushes, etc) even though it was only about a year old. So, I left the Alternator and we discussed that we would talk in the morning. I thought about it and mentally decided that maybe I should scrap this one and just buy a BRAND NEW one that wasn't remanufactured from the store. When I spoke to Chris in the morning I was going to tell him what I decided and he told me that he already fixed it and it was ready for pick up. He showed me the worn out Brushes that were in the Remanufactured alternator (they were basically gone). Once again, super affordable, top-notch service, and I went over and picked it up. No more error codes. These guys are awesome, friendly, helpful, and I would recommend them to anyone (and have done so already). I hope they stick around for at least another 30 years. But the good part is they offer two types of paint and body work service depending on your budget. 1. Agree on an amount so they can repair and paint parts, but they actually paint the parts without any prep work. Or 2. Pay them more and they'll do it correctly. The guy goes by "Tony" but his actual name is Luis. He's a fraud. We brought him some parts to have them fixed and painted. He literally painted our parts without any prep work or repairing damages. Then he tried to say "that's what we agreed on". What customer is going to agree to that type of work??!! I didn't know we had to tell him how to do his job. I've never had to clarify to any body shop on how they should fix body work before painting. That's common sense and part of the process. Any shop that does legit work should already know that. When you bring up the crappy job That was done he gets defensive and arrogant. Never offered to make it right like a "professional shop" should do. Instead they asked for more money to do their job correctly. Now it's going to cost us more to repair their crappy work that was done. Not to mention when we said we could've done a better job with a can of spray paint, he said. Then you should've done it yourself. Acting like he was doing us a favor. He Called the cops because we refused to pay for damaging our parts and doing a horrible job. The Cops told us the guy is very familiar with the court process and he will be taking us to court. HA! If that's not a red flag I don't know what is. I'm sure the guy is very familiar with court. That just means he's done this to several people several times. You Should be ashamed of yourself and the quality of your work!! Just know if you go there. That's the type of service and treatment you will receive. Since the guy is so familiar with court. I hope he's familiar with a felony vandalism report we will be filing for the damages he caused. We are also reporting this to the BBB. Good luck! Check out Just a few pics of the great work.
