I had a recent car lock-out at my home when I fell out of my wheelchair right as I was transferring from the car. I accidentally pushed the door shut. Ugh. To be honest, I called my usual company when something like this happens and they weren't able to respond in a timely manner. So, I went through my options. In a bit of weirdness, I called Unlock Indy and was quoted a price and around 30 minutes as they are pretty close to where I live. Great. That was workable. They actually ended up arriving in about 15 minutes. However, it was actually A1 Lock and Key per the employee and per the receipt received. Despite that confusion (I confirmed on my phone that I had called Unlock), the employee arrived quickly, was professional, was friendly, and got my car unlocked in a timely manner. I received a electronic receipt and everything was done quite well. I later looked and the same company did the websites for both Unlock and A1 - I'm assuming they are somehow connected or contracted, however, it would be nice to know that up front as it's a little unnerving to hand your credit card over to a company you weren't expecting. I also noted that the Unlock website says the quote you get is the price you'll pay, where my price was $5 higher because I used a credit card. So, if they're partners I'd recommend getting consistent with this practice or quote it up front. Overall, minor issue. The job was done. The job was done well. So I left by the time I got home the fob was not functioning again.I called a1 up again and his response was it was my car.I said ok Ill check it out. So I went to google and learned that everytime you press the button on the fob I should see a infrared light.Well .I then text him and said you have 20mins to respond or I will leave a bad review.Well his response was.Oh you don't want to leave a good review but you'll leave a bad one.I responded I gave you every opportunity to resolve the matter and I would leave a review.His response was Ill just give you back your money since this is what its all about.
