I then replied back asking if he meant he needed my phone number and I then provided it. He then replied back that he would call me to discuss and then he never did. On the 7th, I sent a few more messages showing photos of the locks that I wanted addressed and did not receive a reply back and still never received a call either, so I went with another company. Hopefully other people have a better interaction than I did... was very disappointed that this is a yelp approved company and he basically ghosted me. Not very professional. He definitely could've given the common courtesy to reply back saying he didn't wanna take my job. Unsure of the value, as I didn't even get an estimate on the cost. I'm giving two stars just because he did originally reach out right away, but then there was no follow-through.

I called and was instantly connected with David. He was in Zionsville while I live in Broad Ripple, and he was finishing up another job. What impressed me right away was how communicative he was and howhe kept me updated on his timing and arrival so I wasn't left wondering. It gave me time to walk down to the grocery before he arrived. When he arrived, he almost magically got the door open using my existing key. But what truly set him apart was what happened next. Instead of just unlocking the door and leaving, he took the time to figure out why it had jammed in the first place. The opening where the lock connected was slightly too small, causing it to stick. At no additional charge, he carefully filed it down to prevent the issue from happening again in the future. That level of care and professionalism is rare. I also asked him for estimates on replacing the lock on my back door since I've lost those keys over time. His pricing was completely fair and transparent. David is not only highly skilled, but genuinely personable and professional. I had purchased some replacement key fobs for my truck from Amazon and some keys from Ebay. I was a…read morebit skeptical if they would work but had hope. The only catch with buying those is that you need a locksmith to program both the keys and the fobs. You cannot do it yourself without special equipment. I did a little research and came across this business. David was very responsive and we set up a date and time to meet. He has a mobile shop, so he has everything he needs in his truck, so it was easy for him to come to me. I had an event downtown and he was able to meet me there. He programmed both of my fobs and cut two keys in about 10 minutes. I was amazed. He was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I had one key made and fob programmed at the dealer a few months ago and it was more than double the price I paid. And they only did one set at the dealer. I got two done. I also waited much longer than I did with the Key Boss. They also offer many other services including lockout service, roadside assistance, and rekeying. If you need any of those service along with key cutting or fobs programming (which I did not even know was a thing until recently), I highly recommend checking the Key Boss out.

I needed my house locks changed. I called asking if they had availability the next day, had to wait until the following morning, and was promptly greeted by Ethan who rekeyed the front and back doors, and then ordered the deadbolt replacement. He provided all keys ordered and said he would invoice once he'd finished installing the deadbolt. All in, three locks and 6 keys was just around $200. I read the reviews including one from Dani, a fellow Yelp Elite whose vibes I generally trust. I called. Quick pick-up. Pretty casual. He was going to text me and I would text back the address. He did very quickly and I texted back. He said he'd be by in about 15-20 minutes. He made it in right about 20 minutes. I'd figured it would be a quick job and it was a quick job. He got in my car, saw the keys, and we were good to go. We had a fair price, not really a great price but a fair one, and he was able to accept cash, credit card, Venmo, or CashApp. I was having trouble getting into my Venmo (you could tell credit card was a bit more of a hassle, but we decided to go that route). He used Square and I got a text receipt confirming my payment. As much as I always hate to spend a decent amount for such an easy job, the truth is he couldn't have been much better.
