Purchased 15 pallets of sod $3k plus.
When i began installing the sod, the same day it was delivered, I found out it was old, falling apart and had white fungus, it was July 4th holiday weekend so I proceeded to lay it just in case, since I could not reach them. They did follow up, told me to water it for 3 weeks, then began the usual well not a good time to buy sod, too hot. They didn't make any money on it and implied I did something wrong. So I followed their directions watered 3 times a day as advised, followed back up with image documentation. They then implied it was dry someone came by and saw it. Confirmed not possible, my elevated cost of a water bill shows the truth. After further discussion and them saying it was good sod ( i disagree, as my image documentation clearly demonstrates poor product) they said they would send someone out to add a fertilizer. They did, there guy showed up looked at it explained it was too wet and had fungus, this is after everything else, now i watered too much after i was told it is dry and they advised I water it 3 times a day.
In continuation, four weeks after install, conversations and fertilizer, i still have a poor product more than a third is still brown the rest has some minor green, very thin and dry and looks terrible. Not a fresh and lush product as they advertise. I sent them a documentation video earlier today and still no reply. Next step I guess is BBB/ social media awareness on local neighborhood apps and file a small claims sute for a full refund, unless they can resolve it other wise. Impact to me, major loss of money and time (3 thousand plus dollars) as well I will have to pay someone to pull it up and haul it off and incur the cost again. Looking like about a 5 thousand dollar loss just to get back to plain dirt to start over. read more
