I went to get a sub woofer for our old suburban and they were so kind and helpful that I decided to replace my entire stereo with a Kenwood unit that had a back up camera and all kinds of tech including blue tooth, GPS and Apple and Android car play. They also replaced the remaining speakers. It sounds amazing now and looks like a brand new vehicle. The price was fair and they did it in an hour then spent plenty of time showing me how to use it. I upgraded my 13 Durango infotainment system and add front & rear cameras. We were given very good advice on systems and what we felt was a very fair price. We now know that the installation is far from quality we expected. Currently we have to replace a tail light bulb that requires removing the rear hatch interior panel to access the light assembly. We noticed the hand panel was now broken by being improperly removed and was super glued back together. There is a red wire hanging & not connected to anything. 4 of the panel clips are broken. 1 of the mounting locations is broken and repaired with Gorilla tape and evidence of super glue used to make more repairs. The estimated cost of replacing everything is about $500 to $700 through the local Dodge dealer if parts are even available. My recommendation to anyone that has had work done here pull your internal panels Just see what has been damaged or broken. The technicians here are experts at hiding their incompetence knowing that most customers do not inspect work quality and are very good at hiding butchering their quality of work. My system does work fine. No telling for how long. If you do buy from A-1 ask to see the quality of workmanship before they butcher your vehicle and hide behind interior panels. We only had our display touch screen, speakers and backup camera for less than a few months before it ALL busted. Mind you we didn't even get to pick our own camera,speakers or display screen. The screen will freeze on me from time to time while I'm driving somewhere. My speakers are busted after a few months of use and my backup camera doesn't always connect which is dangerous because we got our backup camera due to our tint in the back windshield. read more

After five hour of being there I knew it was going to be an unpleasant experience. And it was. You know, look, if you have a simple install your good with these guys. Great place. after going to 2 places that didnt wanna install a radio in a 93 benz cause they were worried they'd break the dashboard, i took it here. they did it confidentally with no problems. a very cheap install price as well. second time i quoted around, but found them cheapest YET AGAIN. other places wanted to charge additional for installation even when i bought equipment from them, but a-1 didnt since i bought speakers and tweeters from them. highly recommend. im going back for some new toys soon. read more

I went in today because I wanted to upgrade my stereo system so when Jay went to look at my car he told me that I also needed to replace all 4 speakers which I just had did a few months earlier with them but he said that All of them wereDifferent and I told him no I couldn't be because I just got them installed there. He didn't believe me so I went home and got my receipt to show him and when I came back his new excuse was that those speakers cannot be used on an amp or it will blow up the speakers in a couple days. So I still gave him the benefit of the doubt and after getting prices I decided to get a second opinion and I went to a very reputable company and they told me that half the speakers on one side of the car are the same and the speakers on the opposite side of the car were completely different, but he did tell me that one set of the speakers Could be used with a amp but I would have to replace two of them. So After learning this information icon A1 back and they weren't too pleased that I called and told me to go in the next day and try to work out something but of course with an attitude problem. So not only did they rip me off the first time and install something completely different from what I paid for. They also were trying to sell me speakers I didn't need at least two of them could have an used. This place is kind of like a mechanic shops that tell you you need something when you don't just to make more money and they try to take advantage of you with a smile on their face. It's really sad that companies like this still practice shady business like that. Not to mention he seemed mad when I was looking up their products really to check the reviews to see if it was good stuff because I was going to spend quite a bit of money and found Ever then they sold to be $75 more than other stores or more but they did say I can but it there and they would install it. They didn't really offer a resolution and I really don't feel like dealing with people with attitudes so I will get with my bank and have them help me get my money back from these crooks. They do have cheap Labor prices I can give them that but that's because they're ripping you off on the product prices. So don't be like me and go here and get screwed you should really shop around and get a second opinion. I show up and I ask for the part, the owner (father) of the place looks at his son and says you asked ZX, the son says no. I said yes, I asked you 3 times. He said YOU ARE A LIAR! I could tell he was scared his dad was about to chew his ass. I of got pissed off and went on rant - I just drove 30 minutes and now I am being called a liar? I can deal with mistakes, what I can't deal with is a father that does not teach his own kids how to take responsibility. Very very mixed experience. Go here only if you're patient and don't mind a rude staff. Good - authorized dealer for Viper alarms and other equipment. Knowledgable staff. Decent opening hours. By far least expensive in town. had a loose wire, they fixed immediately. installation seems pretty solid (with some quirks) Bad - they act like they are doing you a favor by allowing you to shop there. very rude. they installed something incorrectly w/o the proper adapter. instead of working w me to fix it, they said take it or leave it and acted like it was my fault that they didn't have the adapter. price is inconsistent - one person says $199, another $250 for the same thing. read more

I laid heavy gauge wiring in my car, but couldn't connect an amp & subwoofer because of by back pain. an A1 counter Rep told me, their tech would take out my wiring & rewire. When completed the Tech told me, he didn't take out my wiring, because it was good wiring & well connected. I was till charged for a full install that took 30 minutes less! This is an update to my review of 11/6/2013... I visited today to inquire about checking my AVH-X5500BHS Pioneer stereo. I explained that my truck had been in the shop for repairs which required that the battery be disconnected for a couple of days. As a consequence of that, I had no sound coming from any of the features in the stereo and the rear camera also didn't work. The employee patiently listened to me and cheerfully stated that they would troubleshoot and get it working again. Within an hour I was back on the road and the stereo and camera work just fine now. They only charged $30, which to me was very reasonable, considering that it's out of warranty. When the job was complete, the employee explained what they had done and thanked me for returning to them for assistance. I really appreciated their excellent customer service, as they seem to be busy with big custom jobs, but treated me the same as if I had gone in there and spent big bucks. Needless to say, I'll be going back to have my truck windows tinted and also to replace my old factory alarm. As before, I highly recommend A-1 Car Stereo for any of your auto sound system, alarm or tint needs. Keep up the good work, guys!! read more

Got a Kenwood screen with Bluetooth put into my brand new '15 Jeep JKU and these "technicians" at A-1 spliced into my chassis harness, completely ignoring the adapter I purchased to prevent from them needing to tear into anything and disrupt the CAN-BUS system. Thank God for warranties and the awesome folks at the Jeep dealership because this system would have cost me an all new chassis harness install (upwards of $5k in repairs) due to A-1's butchering of my factory wires. Sad...BBB! shut these guys down for shoddy service and skill. read more

Horrible place to go to. Looks like a flea market inside. Took 15 minutes just to get help. I bought a set of Hid's for my fog lights, and bulbs and ballasts burned out in 1.5 months. Don't come here for anything I recommend Brothers Sound I bought a 300$ kit from here and it keeps going out the guy here checked it out and supposedly updated the kit and that didn't work and also forgot to reconnect my safety hazrds which is wired with the harness I took it once again cause it wouldn't power on and the owner said I'm sorry I did not make the kit what do you want me to do.
