I've shopped in Vans stores before. Every time I shop at Vans I will say that the people who work…read morethere are usually very friendly. Today is Friday, October 20, 2023 and I'm writing the down because I regrettably didn't get the name of the employee who helped me tonight in the location in Kings Plaza Mall, but when I entered, he and the young lady behind the cashwrap both greeted me with a smile and welcomed me into the store. It was very warming. I've worked in Kings Plaza for years as a manager in one of the stores that isn't there any more, so I really appreciate great customer service. I came in because I needed a pair of plain white shoes for my new job I'm starting soon. Kings Plaza is known to have a wide selection of footwear throughout the mall, but I'm a big guy and I have a large shoe size, and I've checked every place I usually get shoes from, but nobody had what I was looking for, or if they did not in my size (13 or larger.) I knew Vans would probably have my size, but they're not really a comfortable shoe for working normally. The genrleman who helped me was very knowledgable. He recommended alternatives based on what I was looking for and actually found a decent shoe that fit both my criteria and my feet. They felt comfortable to walk around in and it was less than the price I wanted to spend on them. The young woman at the register greeted me with a nice smile as she gave me my total and they both wished me a good day. It doesn't take much in the world of retail to make a customer happy, but I want to give kudos to all the Vans stores. You guys are awesome at hiring and training your staff, and I know from experience that sometimes Kings Plaza can be a rough place to work in and maintain a smile. I could list other stores I went into and not had a similar experience, but there's no reason. I left the mall happy, so thank you!

Descending into the basement, I immediately noticed that it was kind of warm down there, not an ideal shopping temperature. Luckily I was able to find what I wanted to shop for pretty easily and considered the prices to be reasonable. The dressing room was not clearly marked, and it was for both men and women. The whole room had seen better days. Lastly, the line to pay was moving as slow as slugs due to minimal cashiers but thankfully some more joined to help out. It wasn't a perfect shopping experience so I'm in agreement with the current Yelp rating of 3.1 stars.

Our team assisted with unloading, unpacking, setup, presentation, hosting clients, and packing everything back up afterward. We provided our space, our clientele, and our operational support in good faith based on a verbal agreement regarding compensation and commission payment. After all of the work and expense on our side, we are still owed thousands of dollars that were agreed upon and have not been paid. For a luxury brand partnership, the lack of professionalism, accountability, and follow-through was shocking. Businesses should not have to chase payment after dedicating their location, staff, time, and client relationships to support an event. I would strongly caution other businesses, designers, and hosts to have every detail documented in writing before agreeing to collaborate.

I was concerned, given the price point (more than $800 for one blazer) about being able to return the item should it not fit properly. They assured me I could return with no penalty. I received the item and it did not fit. Customer service was great in terms of sending me a shipping label for my return. I did so promptly. Then ... crickets. After about a month, I emailed asking about my refund. I was assured it was "being processed by the accounting department." I followed up weekly. I was then told the company was having issues with Shopify and could not process any returns. More time went by. It has now been more than two and a half months since they received my merchandise (I have the proof of delivery). I have reported it to AMEX but want to make sure other consumers are aware that this company is not to be trusted. Given their prices, be very certain you want what you're buying, because at least in my experience, they're happy to get back their merchandise but not as interested in refunding what you paid.
