I stopped by 99 Sushi Bar for lunch in Madrid. Coming from Los Angeles, I had high expectations when it came to upscale sushi. 99 Sushi Bar did not disappoint. The food was at a quality that I have not found yet, even in Los Angeles. The fish was prepared and dressed excellently. The sake was terrific. Most notably, the matsuri roll was hands down the most phenomenal roll of sushi I have had thus far, at any restaurant, in any city. The ambiance was also extremely enjoyable and classy, it made the experience that much more enjoyable. I have no complaints of the service, all the waitstaff were enjoyable and very helpful. If you're looking for an upscale meal in Madrid with colleagues and friends, you've found the place. Bravo! read more

The best sushi I've EVER had. Service was great and the ambiance was super relaxing. It smelled like a spa when I walked in and the staff immediately seated us. There were a few other people there and it wasn't loud at all. Couldn't recommend it more! read more

Delicious sushi and very nice ambiance I would certainly come again. It was a bit over priced for the quantity of food you get but overall a good experience. I would have given perhaps one more star but for the maki I ordered I felt there should have been more fish on top for the price. read more

99 sushi bar was mediocre. Their prices did not match the quality of the food. It wasn't the best sushi that I've had, taking into account I am from Hawaii, but it was one of the best sushi restaurants I've had in Madrid. A few things that bothered me were,their portions were small and one of the rolls we got fell apart. That should never happen at a sushi restaurant of quality. It's decent sushi if you're willing to empty your wallet. Cheers! read more

fantastic food with a great, friendly and very attentive service! the interior misses a bit of charm, but any of the dishes we tried were outstanding. best among them were the tiraditos. it's certainly a pricey place, but compared with other sushi places, this place is worth the money! read more
