In the six weeks that followed his picking up my car to take not to his garage as promised, but to his residence - he had promised to have my car done in less than two weeks at a cost of a little over 2k - he called me repeatedly at 10-11 pm, drunk off his butt to raise the price - it eventually got up to well into the mid 3k - more than I'd been quoted by some of the dealerships I had spoken to, in fact. If I scoffed, his demeanor became angry, threatening & hostile, yelling. If I tied to reason with him by reminding him that in the very beginning I had told him I needed the work done as agreed, he would insist that he knew I had money, adding, Look at you, look at the car you drive, look at where you work & what you do, look at where you live! I had explained to him repeatedly that I was renting a room in that house after relocating here from out of state & coming off a stint of disability, but he consistently inferred that he thought I was making it all up in a very nasty tone, as though because he believed I had money, he was entitled to take it from me! If I tried to get him to empathize with my position by reminding him of our original discussion regarding the precariousness & desperation of my position & reminding him of our agreement and the fact that I had informed him, I would be pressed tight just to pay what he had originally quoted me - by that point, I'd had to quit my job in Sac because he kept my car for so long, as I'd told him I would have to do if he didn't adhere to his two week promise - he would immediately become elated insisting that it was okay that I couldn't afford to pay him because his wife LOVED my car, that my car was EVERYTHING she wanted & THEY would be happy to just KEEP my car. He'd then go onto list everything she loved about my car right down to the four doors for the kids, the premium stereo system & sunroof, as though he imagined I didn't love those same things or, even need a car myself. It was obvious that he & she had already imagined her owning MY car & had obviously already spoken about keeping it for HER. Yea... my car & the 1800-2k I'd already paid him. He went as far as to insist that if I did not agree to work unrelated to my engine & cooling system, he would not guarantee his work, as he was running up that bill. I finally had to get Automotive Repair to FORCE him to give me back my car & it rarely ran more than a few miles without overheating again. He then filed a small claim against me in court for a few hundred dollars left on the original bill he had quoted me. I was back to working in Sac & overheating on every trip & on the day of the court hearing, I wasn't able to make it bc my car was overheating once again. (I almost got kidnapped on one occasion when overheating on the side of 99 thanks to his excellent automotive skills.) Now, 20 years later, after seeing him again (I only recognized him because he was standing feet away from me, red-faced, staring at me in a state of rage, hands white-knuckled by his sides like it was all he could do NOT to hit me), he is attempting to collect over 30k dollars from me off that original few hundred dollars bogus claim. He certainly didn't return me a workable car. If my car had worked, I would have happily paid him in spite of the nightmare he had put me through - which proves the point that he hasn't changed at all in these 20 years & is still a man who feels he was not only entitled to lie to me about who he was, where he was taking my car, the time table he would have the work completed in, at what cost, what kind of parts he was going to put in my car & the costs of those (every word he said to me from beginning to end was literally a lie), but to actually plot to steal my car from me. A man who in his repeatedly drunken state, felt I should be happy to not only turn my car over to him, but be thrilled to allow him to keep my money, too. I don't know where he's come up with all the reviews he puts on his website to convince people that he's honest, trustworthy & reliable, but I can attest to the fact that in the place of that, the man & his business practices are completely maniacal. Scary, in fact. I strongly recommend that no single woman go to him for anything bc I am 100% sure that he would not have done what he did to me if I were a man just as I'm 100% sure he wouldn't have stood staring at me with this fist clenched as if he were bucking for a fight the last time I saw him if I were a man, as opposed to an almost 60yo woman. In closing, I'd like to point out the fact that his charging me for mfger's parts & putting aftermarket parts in my car, by itself cancelled out the couple of hundred dollars he had the nerve to claim I owed him. Furthermore, I would NEVER have given some stranger working out of his home my car in the 1st place which he likely knew & so, he lied!

Very disappointing experience, mainly because of the lack of communication and how my vehicle was…read morereturned. I dropped my car off Thursday because I had arranged my schedule around picking it up Friday. I was later told it would need to stay until Monday because of an emergency, which I understood. However, I did not receive a call or message letting me know when the diagnostic was completed. I called Monday and was told that the diagnostic was done. During that conversation, I was given financing options, which I understood to be options in case I decided I wanted to move forward with repairing the issues found during the diagnostic. At no point was I told that I needed to specifically notify them that I was coming to pick up my vehicle. I therefore assumed that if the diagnostic was completed, my vehicle was ready for me to pick up. I arranged a ride to avoid having to pay for a tow because I needed my car back. When I arrived, however, my vehicle was returned to me partially disassembled, with interior panels and components left removed, as shown in the photos. When I questioned why my car had not been put back together, I was made to feel as though this was somehow my fault because I hadn't communicated that I was picking it up. What makes this even more frustrating is that I was later told that putting everything back together would only take 15-20 minutes. If it only required 15-20 minutes, I don't understand why the vehicle wasn't put back together before I arrived to pick it up in the first place. I was also told that my "lack of communication" was the problem, despite the fact that I was never contacted to tell me the diagnostic was completed or that I needed to arrange a pickup time. I was the one who had to call to find out what was happening with my vehicle. I was understandably frustrated after having my car for several days, arranging my schedule around getting it back, and then showing up to find it in this condition. Instead of simply addressing my concerns, I also did not appreciate being told that my personal problems were somehow deflecting onto this situation when my frustration was specifically about my vehicle and how the situation was handled. I understand that emergencies happen and that delays happen. My frustration comes from the lack of clear communication and then being blamed for something I was never told I needed to communicate. If a customer is expected to schedule a specific pickup time, that needs to be clearly communicated. And if a vehicle is being returned to the customer, it should be returned properly reassembled especially when the shop says putting it back together only takes 15-20 minutes. Overall, this was a frustrating experience and I would not return based on how this situation was handled. To be fair, I am not leaving this review because I believe they do bad mechanical work. I have not actually had any repairs done by this shop, so I cannot speak to the quality of their repair work My issue with this experience is specifically the communication, handling of my vehicle, and customer service

I needed to obtain a lamp certificate as well as a brake certificate in order to attempt to salvage a vehicle that was involved in an accident. in 2017 a driver hit my vehicle and fled the scene. Without uninsured motorist coverage, I have been picking away at repairs for the last 6 years to make up for the damage that was done. On July 16th of 2023, amazingly, another driver hit me in the exact spot, though not as severe. The world works in mysterious ways my friends..... The process with Belli Auto was professional, but was also coupled with a personal helpful touch. I was given the opportunity to make sure my license plate lights worked and I was also given a general overview of what would be looked at just in case I wanted to think it over before proceeding. After a couple hours, I returned and was advised that I passed my brake inspection, but that my headlight covers were extremely oxidized and yellow. I was given an opportunity to go get them cleaned by buying a kit at AutoZone without being charged for a reinspection. After doing so, I returned and asked them to perform a smog check to which they readily agreed. The entire experience was fantastic and I could not be any more happier. I may end up being able to keep my car after all. Accidents are no fun, they are just downright stressful and cumbersome. I honestly almost had a panic attack going through all this, and yet its still ongoing.... If you ever need an inspection, or an honest opinion about your vehicle, do not hesitate to schedule an appointment. I am so glad that I did. 5 stars here.
