Burger with "add on" of mushrooms which were super salted which took away from the burger. Fries were soggy
Susan B.

Wasn't overly impressed with today's selections of food. I was looking forward to their fish and chips which is normally lightly battered. Today's was heavily battered like fried chicken with very little fish. The fries were over cooked, super salty and soggy, almost as if the grease needed to be changed out. husbands mushroom "add on" to his burger was overly salted mushrooms which took away from his flavorful burger, which he said was perfect until the mushrooms. The other meal was a Caesar salad with a flatbread side. Everything was perfect until the added salt. Ugh. I was in a walker and had to use the rest room. The door was difficult to navigate due to its heavy weight and eagerness to slam shut. Hardly any space in the stall for walker navigation and no grab handle. Maybe the stalls should have signage to indicate which stall in HP accessible without making me have to more more than necessary. Staff as standing nearby and could have assisted with the exterior bathroom door but just looked on. Things you learn when you are temporarily disabled and need a walker to navigate.

Turkey tips

Must be running out of places near home to review which is how we ended up at the 99. The 99 is a New England chain restaurant and features typical sports-bar type food, i.e. burgers, chicken tenders, wings, etc, etc, and beers. We got the fish tacos and rosemary turkey Tips. My wife thought the fish tacos were ok and I thought so as well. The turkey tips were actually quite good as they were moist instead of dry with a nice rosemary seasoning. Turkey is usually easy to screw up. What they did screw up on was the broccoli - so overcooked, it had the consistency of a stick of butter. The seasoned rice was little bit too much on the salty side. Portions were reasonable, but I thought both entrees were a tad over-priced, maybe by a couple of bucks. Largely on the strength of the fish tacos and turkey tips, I'm giving this 3 stars. It's really a 2.5 er.

Will never go to this 99 Restaurant ever again. I rather starve than give my hard-earned money to this restaurant and it's manager Rebecca. There were seven of us that wanted to grab some drinks, appetizers, and some food before going home. I was SO excited to eat, drink, and hang out with my friends. I have to say that our waiter and Rebecca the manager ruined our entire experience. Do yourself a favor and if Peter or Rebecca are working go somewhere else. Please know that I never leave bad reviews unless it is warranted, but I was so upset after leaving I couldn't let it go. Let's start with the good. We were seated soon as we arrived. The restaurant was empty, maybe five other tables had customers. Now to the bad...!!! Soon as we sat down a young man (our waiter Peter) came over and took our drink and appetizer order. This would be the first and last time he would come to our table without being called. The restaurant was empty. They must have had four or five other tables. There was more than enough staff. Anytime we needed more food or drinks we had to remind our waiter; who seemed to disappear for a long time. He acted as though we were wasting his time. Very disappointed. He made us feel very unwelcome like we were totally putting him out by being there. Our waiter Peter never asked us if we wanted to put the dinner order before the kitchen closes. He never told us that the bar was closing if we wanted to put the last order in for drinks. He never brought any water to our table. In fact, we had to ask another waitress for extra silverware. We were quite surprised when we were told that the kitchen and the bar was closed. We asked to speak to the manager and Rebecca came over to our table. We tried to explain to her about our experience but she didn't care and didn't want to hear anything we had to say. She crossed her arms and started to roll her eyes. At this point, my friends and I decided it just wasn't worth it. Everything I wrote above is not even the worst part of the experience. The worst part was when we were getting ready to leave our waiter Peter kept coming to the table to take the cash. Until now we couldn't get him to come at all. He came three different times to get the check. By his actions, he made it very clear that he thought we were going to leave the restaurant without paying. Mind you myself and my friends are all over forty years old. We are law abiding citizens. He could clearly see that we had cash all counted and we were going to pay. Our bill also included a gratuity for Peter. I have never had this kind of experience where a restaurant staff thought that we were dishonest people. I felt like we were being looked down upon. What a horrible feeling. And we paid good money to be treated like this . BTW, we paid the full bill with the gratuity. To the corporate office of 99 restaurants, hire more staff that are caring, empathetic, with a positive attitude, and most of all with communication skills.

The best part of this meal was the steak tips and there were only 3 of them. :-(

Been here a bunch of times but really only because I live up the street. I really love their fit for you salmon. Always delicious and comes with asparagus, grilled tomatoes and broccoli. Steak tips are always good too. Ordered ribs, chicken and steak tips to go the other day. What a disappointment. Not sure i've had worse ribs anywhere!! And the chicken was so overcooked i actually threw most if it away. Mashed potatoes weren't bad. Their french onion soup is just ok. The bartenders here are really nice and are always willing to put whatever game you want on TV. (BRUINSSSSS) Also, no wifi here. I wouldn't go out of my way to get here but it's ok if your in the area. 2.5 stars

Let's do deets: FC has a HUGE menu -the sushi offerings alone is more volumous than the Chemical Abstracts library. The place is basic decor wise with some bric-a-brac items peppered about and gingham tablecloths which are fun and festive. They got tons of seafood offerings and much more... Let's get down to the Pladder. It was 38 bucks and had O-rings AND Fries and Fish and Scallops and Clam Strips as well as FBCs and Shrimps and it was wicked kankle and thunder-thigh inducing. Simply immense and even daintily adorned with a fresh flower. The fried batter was not at all greasy and was light and floury as opposed to heavy and oily. This Pladder is not for gastronomic wussies and is most certainly not to be trifled with, bro. My One had a Quahog Stuffie and got The Twins. Nice n' fresh since they got a live tank here, bro. Service is good here and prices are quite reasonable as well, bro. This was by far the mostest biggest Seafood Pladder I have encountered in my 60 years of sowing down Pladders. Peep it out, YELPers. HOT TIP: Do not ever EVER get lobster anything unless the place has a live tank. Just sayin'... !

I had no idea they do buck-a-shuck oysters on Sundays during football season. If I'd known earlier, I definitely would've been here all season long! We grabbed a dozen and they were fresh, cold, and delicious. Our server, Karen, was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. She convinced me to try the beef vegetable soup, and I'm so glad she did. She mentioned that the beef comes from the ends of their filet mignon -- and honestly, it was the best beef vegetable soup I've ever had. Rich, flavorful, and she even split it into two cups since we were sharing. Such a thoughtful touch! Before we left, my boyfriend wanted to gamble a bit, so I planned to take another glass of wine onto the casino floor. I told Karen I wanted to try something different, and she surprised me with a mini wine tasting of three options. I ended up choosing a wine I never would've tried on my own -- and loved it. Karen truly made the experience special. Stellar service, great food, and awesome vibes. We will definitely be back!

Decor wise, there's not much to write home about. Outdated with lots of wood but, hey, it's a pub. Which is why I didn't expect fancy restaurant prices. The evening started out fine. Our friendly young server brought us a basket of warm Irish soda bread with real Irish butter, which was delicious. Our water was served in cute logo glasses. Strangely enough, the beverage menu listed wine prices but not cocktail prices. And we wanted Margaritas, which weren't listed. When we asked our server, she immediately said they didn't offer them. Since they have a full bar, we asked why. I honestly don't think she knew what a Margarita was. She said she'd ask the bartender & came back to tell us they could make them. We asked the price. Again, she had to find out... $12. We agreed, but when she returned with two drinks in Old Fashioned glasses, I refused mine. The drink was literally 4 sips! My dining companion kept hers & said it was nicely made but not worth the price. I ordered a ginger ale instead ($3). We both ordered fish & chips ($21) and, again, were disappointed with what we received for the price. The chips appeared to be hand cut & were tasty, but the small, thin fish fillets were breaded in what I believe was cornmeal. Edible but certainly not what you'd expect from an Irish pub. Where's the beer batter? Neither of us liked the tiny cup of coleslaw. Afterwards, we asked for a dessert menu. Again, no prices. There were three desserts & several coffee drinks listed. We opted for Irish coffees ($13) and were pleased with the coffee, whiskey, brown sugar and fresh whipped cream concoctions. With tax & tip, the total bill came to $105.76, way too much for this kind of place. And, they ended up charging us $13 for that mini-Margarita. Whatever. We won't be back.

This was just fantastic…read more Our order was 6 ribs, collards and a tall boy of green mountain. It came with a complimentary PILE of thin pickle slices and pickled onions and they threw in a cornbread with a honey butter. The rub on the ribs was delicious in it's own right, and both barbeque sauces were a joy. There was a more traditional zingy barbeque sauce and a sweeter one. The pickles made me very very happy. The corn bread and butter was honestly the star though - I was so surprised. Corn bread is not an automatic favorite for me, by any means. We ordered at the take away counter, but we ate in and were given full table service. Once we got past our confusion regarding the table service it was very pleasant. The eating area was cute. I love the cow wall paper (and the chicken wallpaper in the bathroom) But the bench seating was a little weird and a little too high for the table. There was a TV on showing the game, but it wasn't super loud. We felt like the food was worth the price. Check the patriots schedule before you go - it gets caught in game day traffic. We would certainly come here again - but not on a game day.

Now Blondie have done a great job updating and improving the restaurant, dining areas, and turned the location into a welcoming BBQ restaurant. I have been wanting to stop in to try as I eat at all the bbq spots . I order ala carte a sausage, the smoked wings, small order of ribs, a side of shells and cheese. The ribs were very good and meaty and fall ofc the bone tender. The wings had a nice smoke flavor and heavy dry rub seasoning. found the dry rub a bit too much for me and wax more Texan or Kansas city style vs Carolina or Georgia style . A bit dry but with a dip in bbq sauce, they were good. The sausage was dry and expected more juice dripping out . The shells and cheese was very good with the shells cooked perfect, cheese and the toast crunch season on top was a plus. They offer free cold water which is courteous as I want in mood lunchtime for a Texas state beer. The girl at the counter taking my order was especially helpful guiding me how to order and checked on me twice to see how all was after I was served. I think this is a nice addition to the area and a real deal barbecue spot smoking the meat real deal. I'd like to see more options or specials ...burnt ends , a corn on cob summer option, cucumber salad or other sides, a honey biscuit or real deal cornbread with smoked corn kernels in the mix, A smoke biscuit and grilled shrimp tacos ? A 1/2 pound burger or smoked chicken sandwich... I figure the owner will keep figuring out what's popular as location draws alot of working types wanting a reasonable take out lunch to eat on the run in their truck and dinner crowds move local families in Foxboro for bbq feast. I'll stop in again to try the brisket or other items . Good to see a new restaurant there succeeding .
