A truly hole in wall on the side of a truck stop. Not much to look at but the food is really good Indian. Looks like family owned operated. Gentleman behind the counter took our order. Biriyani rice with chicken. Butter chicken, tikka masala chicken and vegetarian me got the spinach saag with gluten free Makki ki roti (flat pancake like cornmeal cakes) with a side of tart yoghurt. Perfect for me. We all remarked on the flavors and that the food was served with care. As we bussed our tables it looked like the matriarch came out and smiled at our empty plates. It was damn delicious. Traver City off the 99. You blink you miss it. Don't. Well worth the stop.

Tasted very nice and fresh. It was true local and homemade food experience. Prices were very reasonable as well!

The saag here is the real deal! Not spinach served as saag, they preserve their greens using traditional methods to have it available throughout summer. We also got the thali which came with dal makhni and shahi paneer. Everything including the roti was fantastic!! They also have Indian sweets (some of them made in house). I would recommend getting something made in house, we chose two sweets (besan burfi and khoa burfi) made in house by the chef mom and they were delicious!

While making a stop to charge our EV and on our way to Sequoia National Park. Perfect healthy stop ! Food was very good as well ! Very friendly staff as well:)

This lowkey place near Sequoia National park is a family owned business. The owners are super nice. We had the chole puri and tandoori chicken. Everything was delicious!

Mango Lassi

This place is absolutely delicious, some of the best Indian food I've ever experienced. Everything is made fresh, the rice could have been a little better; but all the entrees were top notch. The Tikka Masala was delicious and lamb curry stole the show. We loved their service, everything was made in the kitchen and made you feel like you were eating at friends home. The ambiance is nice, casual affair, don't let its location fool you. The food is excellent and worth your patronage. The staff here made us feel welcome and walked us through the menu. We loved their Mango Lassi; not too sweet and just the right balance of flavor. Our entire family enjoyed the Garlic Naan bread, fire roasted and delicious.

Goat curry, butter curry, garlic naan, barfi

Food was good and their portion sizes were generous. The family of the business was really sweet with offering suggestions and making sure everything was to our liking!

This was my first time at this location, and it is such a cool space! The tri tip sandwich and fries were, of course, delicious as ever. It is truly a one stop shop for anything you could want. It was neat to see it full of folks hanging out in the various seating areas. I was still able to find a spot with ease which was conducive to taking a work video call. The only challenge I had was not eating my food in too ferocious of a manner mid call, and if you've had their tri tip, you know this was a true challenge. lol I look forward to the next time I'm driving through, so I can stop by again!

Today I decided to stop to see what it was all about. They make their cheeses here and you can see the machinery behind the glass near the cheese section of the gift shop. They also sell lots of nuts, dried fruits, candies and fudge. The gift shop is quite large and you are likely to find a gift for anyone you know here. The bathrooms were really clean and modern farm style in design. Right next to the gift shop is a restaurant that smells amazing. I ended up buying chocolate peanut butter cups as a gift. They were pricey but probably worth it.

My family loves loves loves whole foods Pizza it's delicious takes me back to New York. You have the option to either get a slice and eat it there or a whole pie or take one slice to go. Their pizza prices are fairly reasonable staff and super friendly definitely should check them out their hot and cold food area.

I have not had any issues with their self check out and lines tends to move rather quickly. As far as employees, they are still hands off and mind their own, they don't check in or ask if you need help with anything. I always know exactly what I wanna get here and I know where it's at so I really don't mind that. I really enjoy the Amazon partnership. Since I am a prime member, I enjoy getting discounts and incentives. They have recently added in an Amazon station for any returns which is convenient. I also enjoy the curbside pick up order system as well. The quality of their prepared foods and bakery items are still up to par. The only thing that I've noted is the price has increased exponentially. I remember I could get a round birthday cake here for 20 bucks. Now it's more like 30 but everyone likes their cakes here especially the Chantilly with the fruit and the whipped cream- that cake will always stand the test of time and I do highly recommend it. The store is generally always clean and organized, which makes it easier to find what you need on your own. The bathrooms are OK they could be a little grimy at times. Overall, I do enjoy the store in the shopping experience. If you don't mind the prices, you can get some good quality items here.

6 Star Alert. 6 star Alert. 6 star Alert. 6 star Alert…read more SIX STAR ALERT. SIX STAR ALERT. That right people, I said it.... And 6 times to be exact! Because let me tell you, the Spice of Life in Downtown Paso Robles not only deserves those 6 stars, but they truly EARNED each & every star (plus a bonus star) that I am awarding them for their exceptional hospitality. Now, let me tell you why! While in Paso for my wife's weekend birthday getaway, we had such fun time casually strolling the streets with no where to be. While window shopping, going in and out of the various shops, and just meandering through the downtown area.... We suddenly came across a little business called: The Spice of Life From the outside, it was pretty obvious what we were about to get into... ----Spices----Herbs----Teas---- Hey, they had me at Spices, but the rest is what kept me from leaving there anytime soon. Upon entering this quaint little shop, we were immediately immersed into a world that I Love. Spices, Spices and more Spices!!! Yeah, I'm that guy that at home, not in public of course, that will put a little spice on my hand and lick it off (to test it of course). I know, but I'm just a spice freak, what can I say! Yeah, give me a good lemon pepper, a blended steak seasoning or even a Kansas City Bbq Rub and I'll gladly give it the "Lance Lick of Approval". Yeah, I'm a Spice Man, & I'm not afraid to admit it. And let me tell you, this place has got spices!! Yeah, there are Jars and Jars, & more Jars of the finest, most incredible spices you can dream of. But on Top of the Spices... There are Oils, Vinegars, Teas, Tea Accessories, Herbal Supplements, Books, and More! And with all that shopping... Why not grab a quick bite alongside a freshly brewed coffee or tea at their mini cafe right on the premises. Heck, we did! (We had the Vanilla Chai Tea Latte) And it was Fire! So what makes this place earn a well deserved 6 star review?? It wasn't just their great product. Or even their beautifully prepared drink. It was their hospitality, their graciousness, and the human connection that we felt that went above the typical customer vs. retailer interaction. The lady who assisted us (forgive me but I forget her name) but she might have been maybe the owner or maybe even manager of the place was so kind, helpful and made our experience exceptional, so thank you for that! With so many great gift ideas and things that we needed for our own household, you know we did some damage and got a few things to take back home. So.... If you are a fan of spices like me, love yourself some tea, are looking for some unique, fun gift ideas or just want to enjoy a nice, quaint shop where the service hopefully exceeds your expectations like it did for me... Then take my highly recommended suggestion and get over to the... Spice of Life in Downtown Paso Robles ASAP!!!

I can't wait until my toddler is a little older so we can have cute tea party dates here. :) Highly recommend for any special occasion!

Found this place through Yelp and it was one of a couple just off our way south, so it wasn't hard to make a pit stop. We were helped by a brunette lady (I forget her name), who was delightful and very knowledgeable. She gave us a sampling tour which gave us the breadth of flavors of olive oils. Who knew there was so many varieties?! Ok so maybe just I don't know but... Anyway, we left with 2 varieties: the cucina (blend of varietals) and soltera (one olive) as well as a spice mix and some truffle salt. Mmmm all so good! We have since been ordering olive oil from Pasolivos now for a few months since the visit. And now we cannot go back to the Costco olive oil we used to get. Btw, imported olive oil is likely not pure olive oil. There's no quality control, so you don't know what you'll get (cut with canola, etc). Seriously, we cannot go back to our old olive oil ways. We are now addicted to this award winning locally sourced California olive oil from Pasolivos! I kinda wish we could give that lady who helped us some kind of commission for our monthly orders.
