Extremely Disappointing Experience at a Place We've Loved for Years…read more This place has been my family's go-to spot for YEARS, which makes today's experience that much more disappointing. We've always enjoyed coming here, and it has typically been such a welcoming and uplifting environment. Unfortunately, our experience today was the complete opposite. From the moment we arrived, Lily was rude and unwelcoming. She didn't greet us and continued talking to a coworker while we stood waiting around the corner, unsure if we were even being helped. As a regular customer, I was honestly shocked by the attitude we received. Throughout the interaction, she continued going back and forth with me in a disrespectful manner rather than simply communicating politely. When I asked for green salsa, she told me there was an extra charge. I asked, "Since when?" because I genuinely wasn't aware of that policy. Her response was, "Since always," followed by an "Oh my goodness" attitude when I clarified that I wasn't asking for guacamole. There was no attempt to explain the policy respectfully or provide any kind of customer service. Then, when I asked for a kids' plate because I wasn't aware that the kids' special was only available after 5 p.m., she responded rudely, "It's not 5 p.m.," while staring at me blankly. I understand that businesses have policies, and I have absolutely no problem following them. However, there is a difference between explaining a policy and making a customer feel stupid for not knowing it. What bothers me most is not the salsa charge or the kids' meal policy. It's the unnecessary attitude, lack of courtesy, and complete absence of customer service. No customer should feel like an inconvenience for simply asking questions, especially at a place they have supported for years. I left feeling disappointed and disrespected. It's unfortunate that one employee's behavior can completely change the way a longtime customer feels about a business. I truly hope management addresses this because this is not the kind of experience we've come to expect from a place our family has supported for so long. He's says "I'm not sure why she's acting like that" like regardless her reasoning she should not be allowed to act like a wild animal towards customers trying to spend their hard earned money. He makes her go to the back and she's laughing her way there like she knows she won't get in trouble for acting like that and seems normal & probably not her first time acting this way.
