Best meal of our five day stay in Moab. I was suspect of a Gringo owned Vietnamese venue, but they rocked it! The staff is very pleasant, including phone etiquette. Another plus is dogs are allowed in the patio seating. The heralded Banh Mi lived up to its billing. It's just off from "authentic", but more than made up for it with overall flavor. The pork is sooo good. The Pho broth is super satisfying, definitely order a side of you're not getting the full bowl with noodles. Lastly, the side salad with house made spicy Thai chile dressing was ample and yummy. I liked, but didn't love, the Yuzu Limeade. A winner in Moab! read more

I don't want to be overly harsh in my review because this restaurant really gives it their best effort. The service is great and the ambiance is very nice. However, do not order the Pho. I am a world traveler and Pho is one of my favorite foods. In all honesty this restaurant shouldn't serve Pho. The broth is flavorless, the beef was tough and the correct vegetables were absent and vegetables are the cheapest component of this dish so there isn't any financial reason for them to be absent. If the manager reads this review please get with your chef and have a conversation about improving this dish. I was excited to try this place out because of its vegan menu. I'm technically a pescatarian, so I ordered the kimchi deviled eggs and the Vegan Cheesesteak. I was there last week and think about them every day. But when we went and saw everyone getting pho or banh Mi, decided to go the traditional route. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was hospitable. The menu is small so we carefully perused it, looking for something that we would find satisfactory for lunch. 12-Inch Beef Cheesesteak - 4 - a huge sandwich packed with beef, onions, mushrooms and cheese. Beef Pho - 4 - A bit more fresh veg would have elevated it to a 5. The noodles were flat instead of round but the flavor was right. Banh Mi Salad - 5 - A huge salad with lots of fixings. This review is for the Beef Pho. It was better than I was expecting as I usually have low expectations when eating out on vacation...lol. The Pho was good and had plenty of noodles and beef. My one recommendation is to serve the sprouts, onions etc on a side dish as I usually never use the sprouts in my Pho and didn't catch that it would come in the soup. Every authentic pho place I have ever eaten serves it like this so that you can pick and choose what you want in your soup. I would also highly recommend adding chopped jalapeño to the mix of vegetables (as long as it's served on the side dish as not everyone might want it). I prefer Jalapeño to Sriracha for the added heat. The other knock I had on this place is it took forever to get our order. Usually pho comes out very quickly since the broth is made in advance so not really sure why the service is so slow here. Watching the other tables, their service was also super slow. not the most authentic but I didn't mind Naturally when I heard that there was Vietnamese food close to Arches, I wanted to hit this place up. Staff was very nice and we were seated right away. We got the chicken banh mi w/ side salad and the pho. The Banh mi was delicious - chicken was perfectly cooked and tender. The veggies were fresh and crisp (beware of the jalapenos! It def hit me like a truck). It was a bit heavy on the sauce, so I would ask for lighter sauce next time. The side salad was actually amazing - so fresh and refreshing and beautifully presented. The pho was decent - the meat and noodles were pretty typical of pho. My only gripe was the broth - it didn't have the rich flavor that I typically get with more traditional pho's. I normally find eateries on Yelp as I arrive into a new town by looking up preferred food and ratings followed by a peruse of the menu. This time however, was totally different. While soaking in a heated pool at Valley View Hot Springs in Colorado I met a Colorado transplant from New York. Once I told her I would be visiting Moab she proceeded to rave about the 2nd best Pho she'd ever tasted. The best being in Manhattan. I rolled into town on the following Tuesday, excited to try out the recommendation only to find this place closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays . Lucky for me I was staying til Saturday. My partner and I arrived around 5 on Thursday and were greeted by a friendly person who took us to a table directly. Both of us were very hungry and the robust menu with MANY vegan options made it difficult to choose. I picked the tofu vegan banh mi sandwich with a cup of pho to dip. It was amazing! My partner ordered the pho with pork. It smelled amazingly delicious. He ate every bite. We loved the place so much we went again on Friday. Again we were greeted immediately by a friendly staff member and seated promptly. This time I chose the vegan banh mi nachos and my partner got a pork banh mi sandwich. We both loved our choices. We finished by getting a bowl of kettle corn. Wow! What a great way to spice up a carnival food item. It was addictive. Amazing find in Moab! Every vegan must visit! This spot caters to all diets so everyone should visit, really. The food is fantastic, mainly Vietnamese/Asian inspired. We got the vegan cheesesteak and tofu banh mi for a sunset dinner at Dead Horse State Park. The vegan cheesesteak, made with shiitake, oyster, portobello, and button mushrooms, is so good that we want back the next day for more! 98 Center is now in our rotation for Moab trips. Wow. Just wow. Please be advised that the photos on this page of the salad do not do it justice, it is MASSIVE I could make two to three salads out of this salad! Everything in the salad was also fresh - the golden beets , the pink radish , cilantro , tomatoes, daikon , cucumbers were sliced nicely, lots of Pepitas, cranberries , sunflower seeds. You could probably get two dressings and make It two different salads! I chose the Thai chili pepper. It looked like it had fresh chopped garlic along with the peppers , a work of art!
