I stopped listening to Power for a while from 2023-2025 and been listening to Real 92.3, KDAY, 102.3 KJLH and The Wave but since the throwbacks came into mix, I've been listening to five stations depending on my mood.

I was caller number 10 today 5/1/2026 for the Katt Williams ticket giveaway, but the interaction with the man answering the phone lines for DJ E-Man felt pretty rude. When I got through, I was told I didn't sound excited enough. I explained that I was in the car and my baby was sleeping, so I couldn't be loud, but instead of understanding, they hung up and immediately moved on to the next caller. What made it more frustrating is that the next caller didn't sound overly excited either just speaking normally and still got through. That inconsistency didn't feel fair. Again, this isn't a complaint about Power 106 as a whole because I've always enjoyed listening and participating. I just think this particular interaction could have been handled with a bit more understanding and professionalism.

**This review is for Valentine in the Morning (Jill & Kevin also)**…read more I didn't know I could review my favorite radio station till Valentine was mentioning it on the air today and Kevin confirmed the Mary Beth review! Super excited to review 104.3 MyFM because I've been listening to Valentine in the Morning for over 7 years now, they've been my positive morning radio station on my way to work (which takes about 45 mins) and it falls over "Battle of the Sexes" and it gives me at least one chance to text to try and win $1,000. Sometimes when I get up early I can join in the first sip speech that Val makes and it really does make me feel good. With other talk radio shows like KIIS FM they have some positive things, but when I drive to work it's when they're doing "Ryan's Roses" which I hate because I don't want to hear about infidelity or possible cheating or work romances or torn relationships... if I want that I'll watch the evening news. Jill's stories are wonderful to listen to, and I do follow her on Instagram and boo to the haters. Kevin is awesome because I mean - we share the same first name sooooo... Also he's a family man after my own and I relate to what he talks about and his candid comments are always funny. They also play a lot of firsts and premier songs and their guest on air are usually short but sweet bits. They also have a podcast (but I haven't crossed that bridge yet) but I hear that its really good. Thank you Valentine and team for making my morning commute pleasant and enjoyable. I feel like a group of friends sitting at breakfast chatting about the day.

Even when I moved to the Bay Area in 2006, I would often make the drive to LA to visit my family, and as soon as I was within range, this station would always be on in my car. Shortly after I settled in San Francisco, it wasn't too long before I found the Woody Show and became a faithful listener. I fell in love with the show for it's authentic, no-bullshit attitude. And when they were fired in 2009, I was beyond devastated and irate that the only good show the Bay Area had going for them, was no longer. Fast forward to 2014, wouldn't you know it? I was driving back home to Oakland after a visit with my family (as early as I could because LA traffic is the spawn of satan); I put it on my go-to radio station and there they were again in all of their broadcasting glory, THE WOODY SHOW! 5 years later, they found themselves fully reunited (sans Tony) on my favorite SoCal radio station and it was like the best of two worlds collided. My favorite station and my favorite morning show holding hands. Full circle!
