Long story short a month after dropping off the equipment I called to check on status. Nobody answered so I left a message. On July 31 the lady called to basically tell me "we're working on it. Don't call us, we'll call you." Today, six months later, I went there to tell them to not worry about it, don't fix it, I already replaced it. I also asked for a refund of the $29.99 diagnostic fee, as I think it is the least they could do after keeping me waiting for 7 months. I was told that it would've gone towards the repair but since they could not repair it, there was no refund. Based on my sample size of one, I cannot recommend this place for any real electronics repair work.
