We bought a used Yamaha Disklavier Grand Piano and Eric upgraded it for us to the latest electronics and software. I now enjoy listening to music from the piano while I'm working on my PC. It took quite a while since the upgrade had to come from Japan, and with the screwy supply chain these days it took a long time to get the new electronics. I don't know who this "Eric" is so I think this business has changed hands. I noticed they were closed for a while.. Well they re-opened and there is a different owner. Took a Trace Elliot AH500x that was about 40 years old in for a clean up. The amp worked fine when I dropped it off.. Whe i got it back I took it to a show and it didn't make it thru the first set.. I brought it back and returned a couple of weeks later to pick up the amp.. He did not charge me extra and the amp made it through a whole show sounding great.. Took a Yamaha DX 21 in and it was turned around in less than a week with no issues.. Turnaround time can be big issues with these places.. Not here!! read more

Terrible. Dropped off 2 tube amps for diagnosis and repair. Expected a fully itemized repair quote with what work was to be performed. Instead, got an amount with "Both ams have very tricky issues." After several attempts at getting Eric at Jaydon to address the actual issues and what was going to be done, he suggested I go to another tech...??? All told, I had to make 2 trips of over 40 miles each way to Jacksonville, which was a large inconvenience given that they were not able or apparently willing to give me a professional repair quote. The only positive thing I can say is that they refunded my "bench charge". These guys are a joke... don't waste your time with them. read more

A+++ repair job of my stereo amp, so good that it's really an upgrade (replacing capacitors, resistors and diodes that were damaged when I shorted it). Also, the price was reasonable. We ran into an administrative mistake along the way, but they let me know about it and were accommodating in working out a solution. I really appreciated the honesty. I'll definitely go back with other projects that come up. They work out of JAX and Orlando, so, you may need to be a bit patient, but the work is quality. read more

Eric and his team were great at keeping us informed of the status of our repair for our new Pioneer turntable. It was still under warranty and Pioneer recommended Jaydon for our repairs. Within the same day, the guys at Jaydon found the issue (drive belt was twisted) fixed and called me the next morning to pick up. Turntable works great and the team at Jaydon was very helpful. Also, Jaydon does work on some very high end musical equipment; profession keyboards, amps, electric guitars, synths, etc. which is hard to find, even in a city like Jacksonville. As to some of the other reviews here, I can only say that you should always do your research and get a second or even a 3rd quote before doing any repairs. Jaydon, like any other business, has to provide a statement of work with quotes before performing any repairs and you have to personally authorize the work. The negative reviews here are all poorly written or have no value added detail to other consumers who may be looking for service. If they did the proper research, they could have made different choices and not written a poor review based on half or incorrect/incomplete information. In short, I found Jaydon to be up front about the repair costs that may have exceeded my warranty and did and excellent job communicating with me during the whole process. read more

I dropped a pair of Cerwin Vega floor speakers for repair. The foam gaskets around the woofers had discinegrated. Jaydon is a Cerwin Vega repair facility. They charged me a fair price and did good work. Their customer communications needs improvement. I had to contact them several times to findout when the speakers would be ready! By the way, you will not find them w/o a GPS!!! I will use Jaydon again read more

This review has a real "GOTCHA" at the end... I took my Yamaha THR10 guitar amp to Jaydon Electronics (in their Orlando, FL location) for repair. One day I was using it, and sound stopped coming out. Jaydon charged me a $45 diagnostic fee, which was fair. About 4-5 days later I received an email saying the amp had been diagnosed, and they could repair it for a $40 charge. I told them to proceed. There was never any indication of what was wrong with the amp. That following weekend, I paid $40/cash, picked up the amp, and brought it home. There's only one problem - there was nothing wrong with the amplifier in the first place. A month earlier I had taken this amp, along with other equipment to a service provider who is about 25 miles east of downtown Orlando. I have quite a bit of music equipment. That service provider tested it while I was in the shop, and it worked fine. He even took off the cover, and looked at the electronics to make sure everything was in good condition. The repairman suggested that maybe my input cable was bad, and to check it. He was right. When I went home and substituted another cable, the amp worked fine. When I tried using the bad cable with other amps, the amps didn't produce sound. When I used a good cable - sound. I felt silly for not checking it in the first place, but was thankful for the repairman's honesty and integrity. I told him that I liked his work, and was grateful for his honesty, but I would like to find someone closer. He suggested I take the Yamaha THR 10 amp in for a repair at another shop, as a way to test the honesty of the servicer. That's when I found Jaydon Electronics on the internet. Took an old vcr here for repair because it wasn't getting power....it wouldn't turn on. It was not a cheap vcr either, that's why I wanted to get it fixed. Unfortunately, I made a point to tell them the latter when I dropped it off. So a day or two later they call me and tell me that it was going to cost $450 to fix it....to put in a new power supply unit (this was including FOUR HOURS of labor)! Now I'm no tv/vcr repairman, but I am pretty good at many different mechanical/technology DIY projects (have bought the components and put together computers), and IMO, they are either grossly incompetent, or were just trying to rip me off because I had told them it was an expensive unit. In any case, I went and picked up my machine, I paid my $45 diagnostic fee, and got out of there. I'm still in bewilderment at the 4 hours of labor time estimation. read more

I've sent a few keyboards, several guitar amps, and a few power amps to Jaydon Electronics and have always been 100% satisfied with the level or service, communication and turn around time. They are authorized repair centers for lots of different brands--so they can get the weird parts to repair units that you can't find anywhere else. read more

This guy is a scammer, wanted to charge me triple what the manufacturer charged me for the same repair. i would not recommend this guy to any one. do your research before getting repairs done as he will over charge you. read more
