I loved 9 Thai Sushi at their old location so this was my first time with takeout at the new location. The lovely young lady suggested I try the pineapple curry with chicken. Wow! My new favorite dish. I was promptly met inside by the same lovely lady who greeted me with a huge smile and warm greeting. The value for what I paid is incredible. Lots of chicken and enough for tomorrow night. Everything was very fresh. Heat was perfect! Just spicy enough. Dilemma is do I stay with ordering the pineapple curry or try something else? My wife & I stopped by this restaurant for the very first time for lunch as she had been wanting to try this place for some time now & we finally did that this past week. To start off the restaurant was very clean & welcoming, there wasn't too many people dining at the time so it was a really nice & quiet when we were there so it was a good start to what came after which was our food, we started off by ordering their Spicy Tuna Poke which we both really enjoyed & was the highlight of our meal, the tuna first of all seemed really fresh as did the sauces & avocado which gave the dish so much flavor the wontons really added to the tuna & we would definitely order it again. On to the entrees we both had the fried rice with shrimp, my wife however ordered the lunch special fried rice which was served with a soup or salad & honestly I would have been fine ordering that next time as the portions were really generous & would have been enough for me as my regular entree portion was huge which isn't bad at all but just pointing that out, anyways the fried rice was very flavorful & both came out really hot as did the shrimp would recommend this dish as well. To finish off we shared Thai donuts which were also very good & a great way to end our meal, it came with 10 little donuts so they're great to share by multiple people. A nice hello from the older gentleman , welcomed us with open arms. The service was great, the atmosphere was mellow, nicely decorated but the food not so much. My family and I enjoy Thai food a lot to the point it's one of our daily activities and things to do. I've read really great reviews and even got recommended by friends and family . I hate to say this but we did not really enjoy our food experience at all. The dish that we ordered was the Pad see ew, as known as stir fry soy sauce noodles. Although I can't make assumptions and say that this place that I go to makes it like this way( shows picture ) because that's so damn rude and disrespectful. Every place makes it's their way and not the same as every place. The presentation of the dish looked very bland, no color and soggy. Where's the sweet black soy sauce ? The black pepper? The sprouts? Where's the sweet yet savory flavor . It was a No. we ended taking it home to re do it with our seasoning because we ain't gonna waste our food we paying. Also, their Thai iced tea is very water down with just straight up sugar. You can't taste the aroma of the tea. Had to asked for unsweetened tea. The curry we ordered the green and the red was not appetizing . The chicken taste like they left it over night, the sauce of the curry had not distinguish flavor . The staff here is phenomenal - VEGAN-friendly and Vegan accommodating. At most Thai restaurants, the staff and cooks don't understand why anyone would choose no meat or even no tofu, but here, they don't treat or look at me funny when insisting on neither or. In fact, they made a whole dish for me vegan, including the sauce. It was called the Old Lady Spicy and it was delish. Tucked away in a one of the many strip malls that dot this community, this small, clean, family-run restaurant provided friendly efficient service as well as large portions at reasonable prices. Tried the Fried Potstickers, California Roll, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Yellow Curry Chicken, and Drunken Noodles with Pork. All the dishes were well seasoned. We liked the Drunken Noodles (without the traditional heat per our requested) because the wide rice noodles had good texture and the sauce was tasty. Peppers and onions were the vegetables. Pad Thai, we ordered with tofu and the large chunks of fried tofu were well seasoned. The Pad Thai See Ew had carrots and broccoli as vegetable even though menu said snow peas. Very good soy sauce flavor as well. Incomplete w/o snow peas though. Yellow Curry Chicken was good with pineapple, a creamy coconut curry sauce and rice . Very good. I went in yesterday as I always do to pick up my dinner I ask for spicy mayo on the side now granted the container's they use are extra small so I always ask for extra and never have I had a issue, but this time it was different they actually tried to charge me. I found this to be a little crazy. I tried to explain to the owner if I was eating inside I would not be charged and why now the changes. Look I haven't eaten out in over a year do to covid, she then told me she did not care and said she can do as she want's, and that she is correct I politely asked for a return and I will NEVER GO BACK.
