    Pad Thai shrimp

Came here for a casual dinner one night while visiting a family member in the area. We had a sampler platter for the appetizer and 3 versions of pad Thai (shrimp, combo, and beef). It is my belief that if I try a new restaurant, I must try the pad Thai and then make my decision about returning. Pad Thai was good, not the best I've ever had. It could've used a little extra spice or garnish for crunch (esp more peanuts). However, clocking 8 shrimp was the most I've ever had in a pad Thai. Service was so friendly and quick. Crab Rangoon (in the sampler) was unique because it had a little bit of curry which added a new dimension to the flavor profile. I'd come back!

We went on a Sunday night around 9 PM and it wasn't busy at all. We were immediately greeted, and the place was very clean and welcoming. We ordered drinks and from the very start everything tasted incredibly fresh--from the appetizer to our main entrées. The krab rangoons were really good and had a unique twist with curry powder, which made them stand out. The sushi was extremely fresh, and I honestly wish I had ordered more. The steak teriyaki was delicious, and we opted for extra veggies on the side, which were perfectly cooked and a great addition. Throughout the entire meal, both our waiter and waitress consistently checked in on us without being overbearing. The service was truly top tier. To end the meal, we had the Thai donuts, which were served hot and were absolutely delicious. I would definitely come back again. This spot is perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed date night. 5/5 experience all around!

We have been coming to Thai Udon for years now, they have amazing lunch specials and great service. The food is always so tasty, they also have sushi which helps because the kids prefer sushi to Thai food (they don't know what they're missing)! On one of my recent visits, I tried a new dish, and it was not what I had expected. The staff were super helpful and got me a different dish, very quickly. If you're looking for a reliable spot, with great food and value, look no further.

quite a lovely location for a quiet weekend lunch... they have an expansive menu of options that are all under $20. the staff was quick and courteous - seating us immediately upon entrance; they also had good timing for placing orders and refilling drinks. the inside was clean and open and the decor was simple but effective. the food was plentiful. each dish came with a cup of soup and a fried spring roll (which may have been my favorite part out of everything!) for an entree, I got a stir fry dish with fried egg noodles with chicken and vegetables and everything was hot and fresh! the veggies still had a crispiness which I love. look forward to returning again to try their sushi!

The restaurant has a large menu featuring different ramen (dry or w/ soup) and rice dishes, as well as appetizers. I tried their steamed vegetable dumplings and the pork ribs dry ramen. Both dishes were fantsastic. It was the first time that I had dumplings filled with endamame+minced garlic. It was savory and slightly sweet. The meat in the ramen was fork-tender and full of umami; the ramen was chewy; and it was served with a wide variety of fresh vegetables (zucchin, broccoli, carrot, onions, green onions, corn, microgreens, pickled ginger). The ramen was ~5oz. PS: the noodles are salty -- ramens are meant to be salty. Service was awesome. Several things that my server impressed me: 1. He asked me about my food allergies -- important for seafood-dense restaurants like a Japanese restaurant. 2. I asked for some extra ramen when I just got the entree. He suggested to bring me the extra when I almost finish the ramen in my entree. Surprisingly, he brought a small bowl of ramen exactly when I was about to finish it -- very precise and customer-oriented. 3. Food was served in a reasonable amount of time. 4. When he was taking the order of another table, he gave recommendations to the customers based on their dietary preferences, instead of blindly mentioning the "signature dishes" like most servers do. Moreover, when the customers ordered food, he squat down to listen what they said carefully. So, yes, I speak highly of this restaurant. Definitely recommend it. And I will dine in it again next time I visit Naples.

One of our neighbors used to live in the area and recommended anything in Tin City for lunch. We walked to Tin City from the free parking structure just off 5th Avenue and, while we found the area mildly interesting, we didn't like any of the typical joints along the water. Besides, having eaten at Dockside in Venice the day prior, we were looking for something other than seafood. In looking at Yelp, we were intrigued by Ichi Togarishi so we walked back towards 5th Avenue. Located just off 5th Avenue, this small place would be quite easy to miss. Upon entering, we realized how snug this place was. We were seated promptly and presented the menu. My wife ordered the Chicken Veggie Shoyu Soy Ginger and I had the Chashu Belly Garlic Noodle. We both liked our dishes, with complex, bold flavors. The Chashu belly was tender with sweetness and soy flavor shining thru. Its flavor profile reminded me of Pad Thai. A very nice find in Naples!

A Fantastic First Visit - Happy Hour Done Right!…read more I stumbled upon Lola 41 in Old Downtown Naples for their happy hour, which kicks off daily at 3:30 PM. I arrived a bit early - around 3:10 - and by 3:25 a small crowd had already started to gather, which tells you something about how popular this place is. Despite a little drizzle, people were eager to get in, and I quickly understood why. This was my first visit to Lola 41, and I was immediately struck by the space. The ambiance when you walk in is absolutely fabulous - beautifully designed and full of energy. The doors opened right at 3:31, and the bar filled up fast. As it turned out, they were celebrating their 2-year anniversary, which I had no idea about, but the buzz in the room made it feel like a special occasion. The bartending staff handled the rush with impressive efficiency - drinks were coming out quickly even as the place packed in. I thoroughly enjoyed my cocktail, and it delivered exactly what I was hoping for. I also ordered off the happy hour menu, and while there was a small mix-up with my food (completely understandable given the volume and the anniversary excitement), the staff was absolutely wonderful about it. They accommodated my request to have my order packed to go without any hesitation - and I have to say, once I got back to my hotel and dug in, I was not disappointed at all. For anyone visiting the Naples area, I highly recommend making Lola 41 a stop, even if just for happy hour. Grab a cocktail, try an appetizer, and I promise it will leave you wanting to come back for a full dinner. This one has earned a regular spot on my list, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

From the moment we walked in, the energy matched the occasion--calm, intimate, and polished without being pretentious. The service was exceptional, and I don't say that lightly. Our server was attentive to the flow of the evening, almost like they followed the house motto of "let the experience guide the guest." Every interaction felt natural, and every course arrived at the perfect time, no reminders needed. Now let's talk about the dish that stole the spotlight: the Shrimp Tempura Roll. It arrived crisp, warm, and beautifully plated. The texture contrast between the crunchy exterior and soft interior was on point. What took it next-level was the pairing with The Beach by Whispering Angel--a pink moscato that turned the entire moment into a scene from a dream. The fruity notes of the wine danced perfectly with the shrimp, elevating every bite with a refreshing finish. I always tell my friends: if you're looking to impress on a first date, this is the place. It's classy without trying too hard, intimate enough for conversation, and the food does more than just fill you--it sets the tone.

A couple of hours later, the v eye was packed with a wait to get in. Ample inside seating for booth and table. Some outside tables. Zoey was our server. She was attentive, as was the rest of the wait staff. Our empty dishes were quickly removed from the table. Glasses remained full. We arrived in time for happy hour. Prices and selection was decent. A few oddities for me were was the fried sushi. We ordered tempura shrimp sushi. NEVER had it with the entire piece of sushi fried. We expected tempura shrimp inside of the sushi. Also, the bubble tea was $5. We opted to not get bubble and it was regular price. Spring roll were small like they could have been frozen. Spicy edamame, wonton, Rangoon and seaweed salad were delicious. Drunken noodles with shrimp was tasty. Portion was small for $25. It included ample shrimp, but the noodle portion was light. Bathrooms were clean. Ambiance was cool. Noise level was surprisingly not loud even though the restaurant got packed during our visit. We were able to hear everyone at our table of six without yelling or leaning in. I'd return and hope to order off the lunch or happy hour menu.

Service started a little slowly--we didn't meet our server for about 15 minutes, although another team member quickly brought us water and drinks. Once our server arrived, he was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. It seemed like he may have been covering several tables that evening, so we completely understood. Our meal ended up taking about 90 minutes after reservation, which was longer than we expected for a quick dinner. We shared two dozen oysters, king crab legs, the miso butterfish, and cocktail.. The oysters were fresh, though we had slightly higher expectations. The king crab was easily the standout of the meal. The miso butterfish was well prepared but a bit heavy on the sauce--I think a touch of acidity and a side of vegetables would have balanced it nicely, something to consider. Between the waterfront breeze, friendly hosts, and our server's hospitality, we still had an enjoyable evening. It may have simply been a busy night for the service team. We'd gladly give Syren another try.

In this case, it was a sign of good times, as the noise was mainly table conversations in a full house. Our open-table reservation was ready, and we were seated at a table near the "wine wall." After pondering the possibilities, our evening went like this: *Cocktails: "Take two" for her: Strawberry-Infused Botanist Gin, Mango, Citrus Basil, Foam; a bourbon old-fashioned for him: Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon, Aperol, Simple Syrup, Angostura Aromatic Bitters (a cherry too, perhaps Luxardo). *We made the strategic decision to avoid soups/salads to make sure there was room for dessert, and went directly to entrees: Chilean Sea Bass (best seller, we hear) for her: Broccolini, Pearl Onion, Potato Puree, Truffle Vinaigrette; and the Halibut special with gnocchi for him. Both EXCELLENT! A glass of Sauvignon Blanc with each. *Dessert: Crème Brulée for her, a much anticipated Ten Layer Carrot Cake for him, and decaf coffee + cream for both. Was saving room for dessert worth it? Yes, absolutely. My compliments to Todd, perhaps the best server I remember during the past year. Why? He seemed to have no agenda except to please the customer. There was no pressure to order quickly, and nothing about our order fazed him. Gluten-free requests were handled flawlessly. No soup or salad? He did not even blink, as if he himself thought it was an excellent idea. Todd, thank you for being the perfect meal guide and steward.
