Overall we had a nice meal here. We arrived just after opening and the food was hot and fresh. Everything I got tasted good and as expected. Plates, cups, table, and silverware were clean. Buffet area seemed clean. Used plates were taken away promptly and drinks refilled as soon as they got low. The decor could use a good dusting and the buffet tables desperately need updating, but I can overlook that as long as the meal is good and food surfaces are clean. I do think it was a little on the pricey side - $17.99 each for the weekend lunch buffet. I did not see any items (such as crab legs or beef dishes) that would justify such a high price. That did include the beverage though.

I came to Lake George with family and we unfortunately chose 9 Dragons as our lunch spot. As we were being seated we kindly asked our server if we can take a look around at the food first prior to deciding on staying, she VERY very kindly said "No the food's not out yet, it'll be another couple minutes, are you going to do the buffet or not?" well, so much for the "nice staff" mentioned in prior reviews. On that same note, I've never been to a buffet where there's literally no food ready, besides the bad attitude and lack of food; The place isn't really well kept. The grass outside could definitely use a landscaping consultation, and there are very obvious stains on the walls around the restaurant. Finally after waiting almost 15 minutes after they opened to get food, we went and grabbed a few things. The only reason I'm even giving 2 stars is because the food was okay, at the end of the day it's buffet food, so it won't knock your socks off but it certainly did the job for the time being. Highlight of this meal was that they have Oreos, Samoas, and even Tagalongs available for dessert. Definitely a first, never coming back here again though and I will be advising others to steer clear. P.S. Don't just plant the check on a table while a table is still eating, you're just telling the table to leave when you do that.

Buffet food was ok at best. Room temperature food. Sad to say, but the ice cream was the best part.

The ambiance was really nice. Menu was limited but the food was good and the price was quiet reasonable. Over all it was good.

Some things ran out quickly (plates, forks) and some food was low at times. But we managed. This place had a lot of options from different cuisines (tacos; Asian bourbon chicken; pot roast; breaded fish; chicken sandwiches; etc.) but none wowed me. Even the desserts, of which there were many choices, were just okay. Even the red Jello, one of my favorite things since I was a little kid (don't judge) had a terrible after-taste. They seemingly make a lot of the food in house, so either their recipes are bad (they were loaded with salt- no doubt to fill you up quicker) or sitting on a hot station ruined the texture and flavor of the food. The highlight for me was their yeasty butter rolls, especially with their chicken sandwiched between them. Sadly, by the time I found out about them they were literally on the last pan of the day. How is that possible for a lunch buffet at 1:15 in the afternoon? I miss good quality American buffets. Nowadays, you generally only find Chinese/Asian and Indian/Asian buffets. (I guess some places due brunch buffets, which doesn't quite check the same boxes). Will I be back? They are literally the only American buffet within a hour of my house so I am sure I will eventually get desperate and drive up here. But it won't be soon.

Another 5 minutes before we were seated. We were seated with fresh warm buttered dinner rolls with the famous cinnamon butter as a side. Ordered the Texas combo with ribeye steak and ribs. Separate order of grilled pork chops. Everything was super tender and juicy. I have nothing negative to say about the food. The sides were also smashing. The peppercorn sauce was peak Staff were super engaged and attentive. Made sure our experience was well several times during service. Several times there were line dances performed by the staff. Very great overall experience by the staff, both in service and keeping the atmosphere lively Interior was very on brand and felt very authentically steakhouse vibes. Clean restrooms and facilities as well Great first experience, will definitely be back

They didn't hold back, as I requested. The vindaloo had great flavor, in addition to the spice, and the chicken was not dry at all. They also gave a nice helping of rice pilaf. The Roti was spot on and not too oily. The family was incredibly friendly and service was prompt. You order inside at the register and they bring your food to you. The only issue I had is that the place needs some serious maintenance. The bathrooms inside were not well cared for. That's the only reason I had to take off a star. Definitely worth visiting, as long as you don't need a bathroom. Remember to tip well.

Read all the reviews. And by all, I mean... they were right…read more Now, to be fair, the owner didn't come running over to personally tell us to leave, so I guess we cleared that very low bar. We were a group of 10, so walking in, I was already a little leery. Apparently, a party of 10 is enough to make you wonder if you're dining at a restaurant or applying for asylum. The servers did their jobs. Our server was actually very good. Everything came out correctly, the food that was hot was cooked properly, and there were no major service issues. There was absolutely no aggressive upselling, either. My girlfriend ordered an Old Fashioned and asked what kind of bourbon they had. He suggested Maker's Mark. She asked if they had anything else, and his response was basically, "Maker's Mark is the best." Well, there you have it. Decision made. Apparently the bourbon department consists of Maker's Mark and a very firm opinion. As for the food, it was good, but a little pricey for what you get. My steak was good. My girlfriend's lobster, however, arrived cold. I'm guessing it had been enjoying an extended vacation in the window while waiting for the steaks. Since we had already waited quite a while, she decided not to send it back. A little hot butter performed the emergency resuscitation, and surprisingly, it was fine. But honestly, the best part of the evening had nothing to do with the restaurant. It was being there with family. That's what made the night enjoyable. Would I go back? Maybe if someone else is paying. I've heard there are better restaurants in the area for the money, and after this experience, I'm starting to believe the reviews might have been trying to warn us rather than simply complain.
