This is your pretty good basic Chinese take-out. Get the Americanized stuff; sesame chicken, teriyaki skewers, sweet and sour (breaded fried chicken), egg rolls, bbq ribs, wonton and egg drop soup. Don't venture too far out of that and you'll be OK. The hot and sour soup is a solid 7.5 out of 10. The food is consistently.... Pretty good. But it's NOT health-food. It's all very saucy and oily. We order from here once a month or so.... It's very fast... and I've watched. By the time you drive from anywhere (after you've ordered) it will be ready. They prepare almost everything fresh right there. It's totally fine. Just not AMAZING. read more

My husband and I have been going to this take out Chinese place for a long time - On August 5, we ordered dinner, the bill was around $30, I had ordered the Sweet & Sour Chicken dinner with fried rice, and an egg roll, with Egg Drop Soup. I couldn't even eat the Sweet & Sour Chicken because it tasted like card board, so I tried to give it our dog (he eats ANYTHING) and he didn't even want to eat it. That was the worst meal I have ever gotten from them ~ Looks like I will be on the hunt for a new Chinese Restaurant!!! I only wished I took a picture of the food, the Egg Drop soup was a dark ORANGE color, and looked undesirable. Fried Rice was really dry - and as far as the egg rolls, well, they had no flavor, I felt like I had CARD BOARD for dinner all the way around ~ Main Moon...you need help!!! read more

Been ordering from there for years. All the shrimp dishes, the scallops in garlic sauce, the treasure duck, the fried rice, the Singapore Mein Fun, and the dumpling appetizers are quite solid. The weak point is with the chicken dishes that are dry. The chicken is way overcooked and does not have juiciness, now I avoid it and I am sorry because the flavoring is quite good but not enough to save the dish. I was so excited to be getting Chinese take out and in Glens Falls there are not many choices. We got Beef and Broccoli with plain rice and a pork egg roll, crab Rangoon, General Tao's chicken with pork fried rice. The beef and broccoli was pretty tasty, but the chicken was inedible! I don't think it was chicken, tasted and looked more like pork. It was so over cooked you could choke on the pieces of burnt "chicken" the sauce was nothing like I have ever tasted, overly sweet and very little spice. It tasted burned!! I tried to eat it but was nearly impossible, it was so dry, and I was expecting moist succulent chicken. I had to throw it out, a total waste of $14. The pork fried rice was nothing more than yellow rice with nothing in it. No pork, no onion or peppers. The egg roll was burned and over cooked, tough on the tooth. I managed to eat the Crab Rangoon, it was tasty but the wrapper was tough and chewy! I will never order from them again and I recommend you don't either. I decided to get food from there because our usual place is closed on Sunday. I ordered General Tso's Chicken, at least that is what they called it on the menu. There was absolutely no breading on it and they overcooked the gristle from the bottom of the fryer and doused it with their sauce. Into my container, it went with the greasy pork fried rice. I love it when restaurants don't care what leaves their establishment. I will definitely hard pass on this place in the future! read more

Main Moon is our Chinese delivery place of choice, because it's always fast, fresh and consistent. Last night I was too tired to cook, and it was just my son and I at home, so I ordered the Pineapple Crispy Chicken ($8.99) with pork fried rice, two shrimp egg rolls and a pint of wonton soup. The total with tip was $18.00, everything was hot and tasty (their egg rolls are among the best in the area), and the entree was so generous that there were enough leftovers to share with my wife when she got home from work. For a sit-down meal, the Glens Falls area has numerous Asian restaurants that do a nice job. But for delivery, there's no place with faster delivery or better food. We've tried others, but Main Moon's quality and consistency has kept us coming back for years. read more

This place used to be the best around but the last 10-15 times I've ordered in the last year the quality of the meat has been unbearable to eat so I'm giving up on ordering here again. Last night I ordered about $40 of it and ended up throwing it away. I couldn't find one piece of sesame chicken that wasn't loaded with hard tendons and tough fat. Every bite has something hard and unappetizing in it. The dumplings have also suffered at this businesses undoubted expense cut; they're like eating a meatball with tendons and plastic in it.
