Wow! This place is not good. This was actually a great Chinese restaurant called Chinatown for many years. That is no longer the case. First off, we asked to be seated towards the back in a quite area. Seems reasonable to me since there were very few tables, even tough it was 12:30 pm on a Friday! No lunch crowd here! We were rudely told "no" because the woman would have to "pick up the extra place mats if we were to sit over there!". What a imposition that would have been for a server! Thereafter, she pretended not to understand anything we said. Great start. The buffet dishes were mostly empty. Saigon Noodles and Honey Chicken (going by memory here) were from another time and place; not eatable. Most of the trays were either empty, visibly been sitting too long or in the case of eggrolls or chicken wings, only 3 or 4 were brought out at a time. Reason? Unknown. The cups for the tea (normally hot in Chinese restaurants; here room temp) were stained and dirty. Nasty! No noodles for the soup. Chinatown was noted for it's delightful dessert area. Not at the Dragon's! A few plates of Lil Debbie cakes and an ice cream area with open tubs of ice cream and a scoop that is used by everyone. No thank you. It's flu season! No fortune cookies! Asked for a manager, but the woman "did not understand." Paid the bill because that's the way I am, but the place is way, way overpriced and the dining experience is really poor. We left a buffet, hungry! Now that's sad. I have honestly had far better food and service at Burger King! We were regulars at Chinatown. It was our go to place for a treat or when company was in town. This place? I will never set foot in there again. read more

Was in Lake George on Friday September 25th . We asked at the front desk of our hotel where we can enjoy a good chinese buffet . They suggested 9 Dragon... This place was not bad. It was buffet only, I was a bit surprised since they are listed as a restaurant. The place was clean and big. The servers were friendly. But I noticed they were refilling our water very quickly ( a gimmick so we get full on water to not eat the food). I really do not like Chinese buffets because the food is weird and you can never tell the kind of meat served. I stuck with shrimp. The food overall was decent. They also have sushi but it was not fresh. They had plenty desserts. Went to this restaurant with my family while on vacation. We went at lunchtime and maybe it was because the place was nearly empty, but service was great. Waitresses were very attentive and quick to clear plates and refill drinks. Food selection was standard for a Chinese buffet, nothing fancy but a number of options. Never really been disappointed here and I've been here a bit now. Some decent sushi on the buffet (some standard Maki selection). The dinner menu has crab legs but I prefer the lunch time and price. Like the noodles, the dumplings, and the peel-yourself shrimp (as always with buffers like this). These reviews seem critical for a buffet in the middle of nowhere for $8. Went in here thinking I could order from a menu rather than have the buffet, but they don't do that anymore. I decided to go ahead and give it a try, even though the place stunk. Fishy smell perhaps blended with something else. Nasty. But after about ten minutes, I got used to it. Food much better than buffet in South Glens Falls. Absolutely horrifyingly disgusting. It's just a buffet which it 14.99 for dinner for adults and I think 9.99 for kids under 10. my daughter and went here on a whim and I wish we hadn't. Immediately after having some water melon and a few things for appetizers my daughter started saying she felt sick. I still had hope and said drink some water maybe you'll feel better. We went up to get out main meal type food and the selection was severely lacking. Everything looked dried out and scant. My husband and I have ate here many times, and have always had a good experience until the past two times. They have a very good selection on the buffet, but they are not good at refilling it. Their honey chicken and general tso's chicken is great, but there's usually only three or four pieces left. Also, last time we went a week or so ago, the food was BARELY luke warm, almost cold.
