Your signal/transmitter (which originally was build and installed by the UM Engineering students back in the 60s - illegally of course) is stronger then ever and your update/ redesigned website with Live streaming and DJ lists is a much needed and welcome upgrade. The shows may repeat and the DJs may at times struggle through an announcement or two, but I will continue to listen...because you are all students (a fully run student station) learning, polishing your skills and sharing the music you love. While doing work-study back in my UM student days... I can't remember how many time I've repainted that closet hole we all so adorably called a "studio".. Hopefully once the new University Center is built (they are going to build a new UC ...right?) you will receive a proper space from which you'll continue to throw down the amazing lists of indie tracks and live in studio performances of our local artists. I saw the NuDeco Ensemble perform this past Saturday during their South Beach Wine & Food Festival event at the North Beach bandshell and wow with my good friend Cecilia P and wow!! Normally classical music for me is 90s hip hop and freestyle reunion shows. Boy was I missing out! These guys covered everyone from Queens to OutKast in an orchestral combination. The symphony of strings, percussion and wind was delightful. NuDeco's conductor would also stop between sets to explain their compositions as well. The night was closed with Rev Run (Run DMC you millenials :) The fact they were able to cast a great symphonic spell playing outdoors at the newly renovated North Beach Bandshell was even more spectacular. I look forward to attending some of their other events.

Located inside an art gallery, this spot has a fun afterhours speakeasy vibe complete with tapas and a generous cocktail menu. Since we'd just eaten, we didn't enjoy food but definitely savored their beverages. My coconut mojito - my usual poison - was on point with the mix of the elixir, the coconut flakes and overall composition. For the special occasion. the owner / manager even visited our table and offered us complimentary aguardiente shots. What made the night even better? The classic salsa and merengue playing, and salsa dancing with friends until these 40-somethings were ready to call it a night. It's a very nice little spot; definitely plan on stopping by again!

This is the former Bacardi building and is now listed as a National Historical place. It is now the young arts building, and they are supposedly not going to mess with the historical element of it. I came today to look at its offerings and being a history buff I always want to see stuff like this. There are two buildings - one is the blue and white tiled one which is actually called the blue and white building (apt! ) and the other one behind it that is called the jewel box (for obvious reasons). Specifically, old school hip hop like when Pitbull was hardcore and I was going to be the first white member of NWA. I'm talking about the golden age of hiphop, from the 90's to about 2006. Nothing wrong with Cardi B, but I have no patience for the so called mumble "rap". (Yes, I'm one of those who knows that Tupac lives!) A local radio station heard mostly just in city of Miami, 92.7 gets it right. At least in the evening, they play more of the "full / uncensored" version of songs. The afternoon drive show with DJ LS has an interactive part thru their IG account. Plus they play lots of Tupac and Biggie. So far their playlist is varied without the repetition of commercial stations. I also can't stress enough how they jam all the classics from the good old days, including long lost ones like Aaliyah, Dru Hill and Cypress Hill. Please don't change!

We're lucky she stopped in Miami for her new show. The theater is nice with comfortable seatings. You're so close to the stage that you can interact with the artist easily. The tasting also included tapas that complimented the flavors of the wine. The presenters were extremely knowledgeable and were able to answer any question. The wines were very obviously very high quality. I took advantage of the 15% discount offered with the tasting and took one of the wines home. I recommend coming to Clementine's if you want to find first-rate wines.
