What can I say except that Oren and his crew were amazing! I needed a 16' Pod filled for a long distance move for my bedroom, living room and kitchen along with numerous boxes. From my first call with him, to his site visit to see how everything would fit and how many movers he would suggest, he was so pleasant during the walk through. Oren's team of 3 showed up on time, all shook my hand (I did have doughnuts for them :) and they took such care wrapping the furniture and placing everything so stratigically. The crew and management were exceptionally competent and wonderfully kind, couldn't have asked for a better moving experience. We've used other companies in the past and these guys were head and shoulders above the rest! Dear Oren, Thank you for helping us move the contents of our family home since 1967 (1,560 sq. ft. Home) from Santa Cruz to Mountain View which your team fit into a 26 ft. moving truck quickly and efficiently. You came over, told us what to do, and gave us a fair estimate. It was not the cheapest estimate nor the highest that I received, but the best and most accurate with no hidden costs. So probably in the end, it was the least expensive since we had no damage. Hector and his team were careful, caring, and compassionate. All our major items were wrapped with blankets and cellophane. I watched some of the boxes with books (75lbs.) lifted by one mover quickly and effortlessly. The picture I took looks like they were standing around but they were done waiting for you to double-check their job. Probably one of the few times they stood still. I appreciated your follow-through phone calls. It took the stress of worrying, "Would they show up?" The least I could do was write this review which I hope brings good luck. I have used Oren and his crew twice now. Both times the service was excellent. Both moves went super smooth. 831 movers was on time, worked quickly and were very careful with our things. We had many boxes and furniture. The crew wrapped things well in plastic wrap so it did not get damaged. Communication was great and they also checked in on me as we got closer to the move date. Oren is very organized and I had several calls with him to figure out how many movers we would need and how many trucks would be suitable. Let's just say that I have a LOT of stuff. Oren, Hector, and the crew were extremely reliable, courteous, professional, and fair. I have never used a moving company before, and if I have a need in the future, Oren (831Movers) will be my first and only call. Oren and the moving team were awesome. We drove a U-Haul and needed help unloading two couches, an upright piano, and three heavy shop tools. Scheduling was easy and done over the phone. Communication was great leading up to the move-in day. The team of three came exactly on time and were highly efficient. The entire process took less than an hour. They even helped move old couches out to the curb while bringing the newer couches in from the truck. I highly recommend using this company. read more

Their professionalism took so much stress from the chaos that moving can be, and their flexibility (accommodating some changes) was very much appreciated. They are the best! Highly recommend! I recently used 831 movers for a move from San Mateo to Santa Cruz. Everything about the process was smooth & thorough, from my initial estimate over the phone, to my video consult to finalize the bid, to the move itself. Here are the reasons why I chose (and would choose again) 831 movers over the other movers I interviewed: 1) attention to detail & care with my items - I read this in other reviews, and found that to be the case with my move. The team took so much care with ALL of my items, but was extra diligent with expensive and fragile items. Not a single thing was damaged in any way from the move, and we had several large and awkward items (white couch, huge wood bedframe, Peloton bike as examples), 2) accuracy & knowledge of the appropriate amount of people & van space for our items, 3) excellent communication & kind people to work with (Oren was thorough in our video interview and supportive throughout the moving process, as well as sensitive to my concerns about covid safety. Additionally, the moving team was excellent - they arrived on time, were incredibly efficient in their efforts, and checked in throughout the moving process to make sure I was happy with how things were going). Oren is the owner and his communication was excellent throughout the process. He moved us from a one-bedroom apt. in Santa Cruz to Sacramento. Out of the four estimates I received his was the most economical for the same services. Oren and his crew were very conscientious with following Covid-19 protocols. They showed up on time, got to work immediately, were very professional and friendly, wrapped all the furniture carefully, packed the truck and were off. Arriving in Sacramento the crew were very efficient and careful moving the boxes and furniture into the new place. Everything arrived in perfect condition-nothing broken or damaged.
