Quick, reliable and honest! I'm from LA and use YELP all the time to find legitimate professionals and thought to give it a try in Hilo, not knowing what to expect. I called and a live person answered immediately. She gave me two estimates, the worst case and best case, and we made an appointment for the next day since it wasn't an emergency. I needed someone to help my mom with the keyless entry system for her Honda. The next day, 808 showed up at the agreed upon appointment time and within five minutes had diagnosed the problem with an affordable solution which was a fraction of the dealer's quote. They were a life saver! My key fob didn't work. Ordered a key online thinking to save some money rather than buy the key from the deAler who was going to charge over $200 for a key. Low and behold the dealer wouldn't program a key I didn't buy from them! Looking around for a locksmith in Hilo is hard as there aren't much, go figure. Thank god for these two, they arrived at my house on time and got the job done quick and I was so relieved (we all were) that they could get my key to work! Wasn't sure why they don't have many reviews but definitely give them a call as they are likely to give you a better price than the dealers for the same or less work even. I was blessed to have found a terrific husband & wife team after my keys were stolen. Let's refer to them as the Dynamic Duo. :-) From the minute my call was answered, I had a good vibe about them. I spoke to the Mrs. for quite sometime, explaining my situation and asking a bunch of questions. She answered all of my questions. She was confident and very reassuring. A HUGE difference from another company that I called right before. Because I am a stickler on customer service and who I give my hard earned money to, I felt that they were the right people for the job and for my sanity. To put it quickly..... They were better than Awesome! They were honest, easy to talk to, understanding, compassionate, reliable, dependable, professional, organized, quick (considering the technicalities and 4 door panel removal & replacement process), and just Awesome Awesome Awesome!!! They had the locks on my vehicles changed, system reprogrammed and I was given a new set of keys & remote. Keep in mind, it's not a 10 minute job. Every car/situation will vary in times, but for my specific car, it was approx. 2.5 hours. But hey, superior service comes at a price...Patience is key! (hehe) And 2.5 hours for a new set of keys and reprogramming is really fast (to me). Especially when someone else has your keys, knows your license plate and vehicle description and is waiting to see it around town. If you're ever in a situation where you lock your keys in the car, lose them etc... look no further. You found the right family for the job! As I learned today, this is a small family owned business. So my belief has always been... when you support small businesses, you're putting food on their table, helping children through school etc... Had to have the keyless remote reprogrammed today. Gave 808 lockout a call. Rather than charge me a fee, the sister (did not get her name) took the time to pull up my truck's instructions and simply read it over the phone to me. Got my first car yesterday & after having it for 15 minutes, I got locked out!! I tried to open my door with many different ways but it eventually set off my car alarm. I couldn't turn the alarm off because my keyhole was jammed!! The alarm caused my horn to constantly scream & my lights to flash. The only way I could stop it was to disconnect the power but with no power, your car doesn't move! Lol. I was so helpless & I had no idea what to do! Everything felt IMPOSSIBLE! It was getting dark so I decided to call a locksmith. The only locksmith open at that hour was 808lockout... THANKFULLY!! I called & explained my situation, he asked where my car was located & immediately came to the rescue! Less than 10 minutes & he was there to help!
