Although my original tires were All Terrain BF Goodrich which wasn't available- With recommendations by Ron, I purchased 4/Toyo Open Country All Terrain tires for my 1997 Toyota 4runner. Ron is very professional, friendly and throughout the process, explaining in details regarding these new tires. Even while in progress of installation, he kept me updated. I love the overall look and designs of these tires on my vehicle, it and the ride too is great! This facility does oil changes, which I opted for since I was already there. My husband was recommended by a good friend who used to work there to come try this place out. My husband had some tires he wanted to put on his 4runner he was told can do it but its a first come first serve so he waited. To put the tires on costed him 178 bucks. As we were on the way home he decided he wanted to buy new tires so we went to lex brodies who had the tires in stock, before doing anything come to find they found that 2 of his back rims (which are brand new, because its a new 4runner) were damaged and had some red paint marks on the rim. Lex brodies took pictures of the rim before doing anything. Long story short, we went back to R&G to talk to the manager Ron and WOW the worst customer service of life! The tech that worked on the truck even said "yeah the rim was damaged" but didnt report it, didnt say nothing didnt even write it on the paperwork! The manager didnt even care, took his technicians side who isnt even certified rather the customer! He even couldnt give our money back at least for the damage they did! All he kept saying was "its not our fault". Its really sad the poorest customer service, especially on a HPD truck. Sad Ron and i hope karma will bite you in your ass hard! My husband is always honest and came to you man to man about this damage and all you did was walk away and had nothing to say. My husband worked at lex brodies for a few years and is certified he aint stupid, so he knows! We will NOT be doing business with this place again. And id suggest dont come here they dont really care, go to lex brodies at least if something was damaged or you have a problem theyll do anything to fix it or help you out. read more

Today, I tried to do a rear brake shoe replacement on the car...:but I couldn't because they had managed to cross thread and strip 3 of the 8 lug nuts on both sides. I have been taken better care of here than the corporate chains, which is why I keep going back. I've never had a problem with hidden fees and have found the prices to be very reasonable. I have always had great service. But, there was this one time that they tightened one lug nut so much that the bolt had to be broken to remove the tire for brake work. I want to write a note of appreciation to Bernardo. I came in this week to buy tires and R&G was out of the tires I needed. I explained that I drive to Waipio to surf frequently, and on our farm a lot, and need heavy tires. I only wanted to buy two, as my other two tires are just fine. Bernardo was super helpful, and realized that I needed tires as soon as possible, as mine were in really bad shape. He called around, and found the tires I needed at another shop in Hilo. I needed to replace all four tires. I called the day before to check on pricing and availability. They quoted me the cheapest price of $441 with insurance included when other places quoted me double that. I went in and within 30 minutes they were finished, the fastest service I have ever experienced. They are awesome and I'm planning to take my other car in tomorrow. read more

I went to these guys multiple times to change out my tires for some of my vehicles. Each time was provided with excellent service and reasonable prices. I just got back from having them install 4 new tires. Service was excellent, price was really good, and I only waited a total of about 45 minutes for the job to be completed. This was without an appointment, but they might be busier sometimes. Ask for Bernard. Free tire rotation, but no road hazard coverage. This is one way they keep the price down. No charge for mount/dismount. I called first to find out what they had in stock. Then I researched the tire they were offering for such a good price. Bingo - the tire was a quality item. These tires are so smooth driving. The car feels like a low resistance rolling rock now. I didn't realize the old worn out tires were like driving on marshmallows. What a difference. The only place in Hilo that would take us last minute without making an appointment to do and oil change. Great & friendly staff, beautiful and comfortable waiting area. Fast and efficient, we waited for about 30 mins. for our car to get serviced. Highly recommend them for all your car needs. read more
