I called a few places and no one had 4 tires Luckily LB had the 4 tires I needed! They were very courteous and helpful. They were booked but they said they would squeeze me in. My car got towed there and they got the job done. The tires were expensive but I didn't have a choice. My usual spot for tires is Costco but that's in Kona and I'm on Hilo side. Price went up to $2500 Then they found other parts that needed replacement. Ok, we're just below 3,000 Suddenly the bill is over $4900 when we go to pick the car up. Jeremy claims there was additional things they found wrong and that he notified us. (he didn't and these new charges were a surprise) As we start going through the bill, we notice we're being charged for labor and parts that should have been included in the original price for the head gasket. Then, the additional parts are priced at 2-3x what they should be with outrageous labor charges. ($200 in labor to replace a thermostat which takes 10 minutes to remove 2 bolts.) Owner refuses to release the vehicle unless we pay and we have a bunch of back and forth where he starts dropping the price but still wants to charge stupid labor charges and more. Then he pulls up high prices on the computer to justify his high costs. Same parts I found for 1/2 to 1/3 the price. Now we also discover they didn't put certain parts back on the vehicle when they finished and there is a missing exhaust cover. So not only do they overcharge the work is sloppy. I cannot recommend this shop at all. They don't honor their quotes, jack up the price of parts then refuse to release your vehicle until you pay. 0 stars if I could.

From a business standpoint, it probably makes more sense for the employee to spend the time to talk to the warranty company to get them to authorize the repair than for me to just go take the car somewhere else that will deal with it. Junior who took my call was nice and courteous when I originally set up the appointment. I'm not planning on going back. If your employees are too busy to do the work you might need more employees, or better ones that are capable of handling a working out the logistics of taking a phone call to a warranty company. Ask someone to cover for you, talk to your manager, or even the owner, im sure the owner would be thrilled to know he's going to spend X$ in wage labor to get XXXX$ in money from a corporation.

They told me they would diagnose the problem and charged me a $206 diagnostic fee, plus additional repair costs. After the work was done, they called and told me the fan assembly needed to be replaced. The issue is they never properly tested the system before deciding this. They assumed the fan was faulty and replaced it. My husband even requested to have the old fan returned to us because we had heard concerns that parts are sometimes replaced unnecessarily, and he wanted to verify it himself. Once the work was completed, I still had the same issue: the fans were not running, and the A/C still didn't work. My husband tested the original fan afterward, and it worked perfectly. The real issue is something else in the system that is preventing the fans from being triggered. When I picked up the car, I immediately told them the fans still weren't running, but the employee, Tiana (or Tina), with red and black hair, talked down to me. She dismissed my concerns, told me the fans were working, and insisted my original issue wasn't what they tested for, even though this was exactly the problem I came in with. Today, when I returned, she again gave me a dismissive attitude. They eventually issued a refund but still attempted to charge me a $57 store service fee, which I made clear I would not be paying because no effective service was provided that resolved my vehicle's issue. I had to deal with this for two full days, yesterday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and today from 7 a.m. to noon, all while managing a toddler and an infant. For them to be so unprofessional and dismissive throughout this experience was completely unacceptable. The mistake was theirs, but the way I was treated was appalling. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend them to anyone.
