Chill rooftop with cool views of the city. The rooftop gives Cancun/ Puerto Vallarta or overall vacation vibes. Bartender was sweet and helpful. Must visit place in Houston!

Came here with my family when in town visiting. It was my favorite bar that I went to in midtown. Great drinks, ambiance, and music! Had a good time here! Give it a try!

Been to this establishment multiple times, always had a good time. Over this past weekend my friends and I were turned away bc one of the guys we were with had on UNC Dunks.. If you jealous you can't get your hands on a pair just say that. Another guy in our group had on Yeezy 450 (not understanding how one is ok but the other isn't) However, the people in front of us and behind us were dressed wayyyy down compared to us and in flip flops... Won't be wasting money here again. I looked good af tho

This place gives me Miami vibes and I love it!! This place is ideal for a date night or just having good conversations with your people. There is a DJ that played a good selection of music. The drink I got was a deep eddy peach vodka with sprite, it was nasty to me because the sprite was flat, so it tasted more like tonic water. Not a problem....there's different levels and you can see the city of course at the top view with the DJ. The only issue we experienced is that the bouncer didn't let me friend in because of his "athletic shoes." His athletic shoes were some Nike Air Maxes. Ok, not a problem. He went to this car to change his shoes. So we went in, just to see another guy with the same shoes in. Whatever... But overall, I like the vibe. We, as POC, gotta know how to dress!!!

77 Degrees Rooftop has an interesting name as it often isn't 77 degrees on any rooftop in Houston. They have an Austin location which I went to a couple of years ago. The Houston location is relatively new and located in the heart of Midtown close to Dogwood, Shot Bar, and a bunch of other bars. They do have a valet parking lot but you can also find parking on the street if you try hard enough. I stopped by with a friend on a Saturday night for drinks. It was tough for me to decide between three stars and four stars as there are things I like and things I don't like. I do love rooftop bars in general and this is a fancy one. There are multiple stories and multiple bars. You have a nice view of Houston and the ambiance is nice. It makes for a cool spot to have some drinks, especially when the weather is nice. They even have some swings for the ladies. On the other end, I thought their craft cocktails were low on the alcohol content and expensive. I'm always willing to pay for a nice drink but I don't want it to be close to being a mocktail. If you show up late enough, around 11 p.m. or so, there will be a line. I hate waiting in lines so this is a turn-off for me. Luckily, we showed up earlier so there was no line. 77 Degrees is one of Houston's current hot spots, along with Present Company, so I'd definitely check it out at least once!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Never in my life have I encountered such disrespect and blatant racism. While we were there to celebrate a birthday party, we found the management and dj (entertainment) to be proudly racist, misogynistic, and condescending. When we decided to leave to take our money elsewhere, he chased us out, threatened us with legal action and verbally assaulted my friend as she tried to finish her drink - in fact using his hands to control her. Take your time and money somewhere else - 0/5 would recommend.

I have been dying for the Midtown area to include a nice roof top bar that is a little more upscale and 77 Degrees delivered! First off, yes there is a dress code but I don't understand why there is so much hostility surrounding that. Nicer places implement dress codes and that's their right. I went here with my boyfriend and my friend who flew in from Chicago to visit Houston for the first time and my friend did have more of a sneaker shoe on but the bouncer was super cool and he just said next time, abide by the dress code and we said our thank yous and carried on and went upstairs. Now, I get if they are actually being "picky and choosey" with racism, but I had a different experience so I have a different opinion. I'm giving this place 4 stars because 1) the please is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. It has a Miami vibe and the colors of the place at night are stunning and it seriously makes you feel like you're anywhere but Houston. 2) the music is super fun/hip. I enjoyed the variety of hip hop, Latin and new hits 3) The location. The location is great! It's next to Dogwood, Shot Bar etc. the only thing I will say is the bartenders are not that friendly and our one specific one kept messing up our drinks. I don't know if she thought we'd say something else than what we were actually saying, but our drinks were incorrect multiple times and that got irritating but we just went to a different bartender after awhile. The drinks are also slightly pricey, I mean they could come down a couple bucks and that would be gucci. The place gets rowdy around 11 on a weekday which was pretty cool because it seems like it's not just rowdy on the weekends! I'd like to come back on a Saturday night and see what it's like then too. Definitely a good place! I'd recommend it.

Was able to do a mini-bar crawl and this was my first stop. Arrived early while there were only a handful of people. The mask rule was definitely not in effect, seemed more of a preference type thing. I would have like to have saw the staff wearing them though. The kitchen was unfortunately closed so no eats to be partaken. The drinks were cute and pricey but tasted ok. My reason for going was the view...it was great. Will be back at night.

One of the best clubs in H-town. The music is amazing. The view from the top is breathtaking! Lots of different areas to choose from.

Came here on a whim and it was easy to locate for the Uber driver. Well lit, nice neighborhood, security was social and friendly. Did his job all they the night. The two individuals at the bar were on point with drinks. The rooftop had two levels, and elegantly decorated. Would definitely recommend this venue for any social gathering.

Cute bar, the layout is very unique almost resembles a Sims bar; it's perfect for socializing and photos. The drinks are ok there was not a drink menu when I got there so I assume it's just typical rowdy bar drinks that are served.

Now this bar was a good time! It was so damn pretty. The visuals are crazy. On a night with good weather, this would be a really good time. Our drinks were good. My drink, Norman's Cay was recommended by the bartender. She said it was a favorite. It was supposed to be a sweet fruity vibe, but to me it tasted like Smarties. I didn't mind because sometimes a drink is for you, sometimes it isn't. I liked this drink though. My boyfriend's drink was the Ruby Slipper. We read that it had blood orange in it and that intrigued us. His drink was also good but a tad more bitter. Overall our experience was great, the music is good, the decor is beautiful. The crowd at the time was full of young adults, so completely my crowd. This was around the end of May. It was a Friday night, so the crowd was alright. We ended up leaving to go to a Latin night. It's the perfect pre-game to start your night off!

The lighting is dark, intimate, and behind every level and door, there is something else going on. There is an element of discovery in every corner and a new adventure on every floor. Ever watch the movie Tron? There are some areas of BCD that feel incredibly futuristic with neon-lit interiors and a legitimate sci-fi feel in some areas. The areas are ass follows: The main bar with a DJ and a spacious dance floor, the red room with a visualizer setup of big bass and pulsating lights, the gold room with a speakeasy feel and a curated cocktail menu, with the secret room that is a unique space behind a certain set of doors. Most of the music on the main bar is good, the DJs are energetic, and the bartenders are efficient while professional. It's not the easiest place to photograph anything, but the different (hidden) spaces make it a worthy destination for discovery. The one area that I don't love is that they rock automatic gratuity. I do love how diverse the crowd is on the weekends, which is a testament to the city. Drinks are solid, but the speakeasy drinks are the ones that stand out the most. The latter definitely comes at a price, but beware that some drinks may have all the presence but not enough of the substance. __________ My photos: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/behind-closed-doors-houston?userid=ysCBsXWPB-LAiewVS3jZfQ
