Despite spending money here frequently, I was refused access to their restroom -- a basic courtesy any decent establishment should extend, especially to paying customers. I went to this gas station to get my propane tank filled, and not for gas. The operator of the gas station was friendly, quick,thorough, safety-conscious, and efficient when filling up the tank. I was in and out within 10 minutes. Smooth, no-fuss service and a great place to get the tank filled reliably even if it's a little later in the day. They charge less if you pay cash-but I live and die by my debit card-my laziness to go to the bank costs me 8 cents per gallon. However, if you are heading on Ygnacio Valley Rd towards the 24 or 680 Freeways, this station is a convenient stopping point for gas on the right hand side of the road. Easy to get in and out of. Not the cheapest gas in town but also not the most expensive. Staff is pleasant enough and they do have a modest selection of snacks and drinks-although if you have your heart set on something in particular or going on a long road trip, you might be better off stopping somewhere else. It's limited in terms of drinks and food. They also have a service station which I've never been to so can't report on it. Overall, perfectly fine place to stop for gas in the WC. read more

I wish the food mart at this location were a little bit bigger and had more to offer. They definitely have the room for it! This gas station and repair shop on the corner of Ygnacio (between Civic and Broadway) is HUGE! I imagine the shop must get really busy and that's why they need all the space, but I've never come here for a repair. I do stop here pretty off to fill my tank. The prices are reasonable and employees are nice. It's also generally very clean. read more

The guys at the garage saved me some time. I had to stop next door and when I pulled in I noticed that my tire was a bit soft. Looked at the tire and instantly saw the sheet metal screw in my tread. I pulled in to the service area and asked if they could fix it. I have been charged less by other places, still these guys had my tire patched up in less than five minutes and I was on my way. Sometimes you really need a tire fixed and these guys can get it done. read more

The pride of ownership was present at this location. I have never seen a gas station bathroom as clean as the bathroom at this location. They had a good selection of drinks, but the mini mart was a little smaller than what I had hoped for. read more

Had about 4 charges from some place in Brazil called Speed Auto Parts (hmmm...), I haven't been to Brazil recently, or ever, so I was contacted by my bank and my card was shut down. I asked where the card might have been skimmed from and apparently the billing address for this gas station is in Brazil...such a strange coincidence...not. I have gone to this station several years without a problem until yesterday. New management. I would not recommend anyone bringing their car to this station. I brought my mercedes benz in for a smog check with coupon for $24.95 plus certificate. The attendant said that I would have to pay $20 extra for my "luxury"car. I asked him the reason for an extra charge and he said he didn't know why. He also said call any smog station and they will charge $20 extra. I called Smog and Dash in walnut creek and they quoted $17.95 plus certificate. Smog and Dash completed the smog check quickly and honored the quoted price. read more

The gas station itself is fine, the mechanic is not. I've never had a car into a mechanic more than twice for one issue--until now. This guy can only semi-properly do the utmost basic work. That is, if you don't mind bringing it in more than once for the same issue you thought was fixed. He literally took thousands of dollars from us for what started out as a minor issue and proceeded to destroy our car. Of course this meant we were out any money we may have had for a down payment on a new car. He also does not make good on warranties. I went there once. Because I needed my spark plug tightened. And I couldn't tighten it myself because I had acrylic nails. The guy tightened it for me and then he charged me $20 I told him I wasn't going to pay the $20. It totally felt like a rip off. All he did was tighten spark plugs. Then he called me on my cell phone which I have no idea how he got my phone number and then his wife called me saying that he doesn't mean to be rude but I just need to pay him. 5 stars... why you might ask? They don't do anything differently than any OTHER gas station Au, but I must insist - if you are a BBQer with any frequency, support this gas station! They will fill up your propane tanks - FULLY - if you check Blue Rhino, they took two pounds of gas out to avoid raising costs - I knew I wasn't getting a full tank - and it is even on their website! Well, seeing as how I get more gas for less money here, this is where I'll be exchanging my tanks. I recommend you guys do the same!!! read more

Do not get your car smog here without a coupon. I smoged my car without a coupon for $88 and the next day I got a coupon in the mail for only $29 for the same place. It's vital to have a coupon for this type of service for this place otherwise it's a rip off. And they won't except the coupon after the fact. I've gone here for years to get my cars smogged. This time I went and there's a new person sitting at a desk that I don't remember being there before. I have my coupon from their station that says 50% off on smog. No price listed, but it says they will honor competitors coupons. I have a coupon for $18.95 from a competiter, but the guy tells me it will be 88 dollars. I ask about the coupon and he tells me those prices aren't real. I ask why his coupon says he'll honor competitors coupons if he won't? To me, that's not real. It's false advertising. I guess he wanted to sit at his desk more than he wanted to work The gas pump side of the business seems to still be okay (hence the two stars) but one star for the new smog jockey. read more

This is my go-to place for my truck's biannual smog check, not because they are my favorite, but because they send me a coupon every other year when they know it's time. There isn't much of a variation in price for smogging -- the ValuPak coupon mailer we all get has a dozen coupons in there, and they all seem to be about the same. I was in and out in 15 minutes, and that included a bit of small talk with the Turkish smog tech about the breathtaking magnificence of the Hagia Sophia. Their gas prices are good, and the pumps have a lot of room to maneuver. Throw in a mini-mart, and the occasional fund-raising car wash, and you've got a full-service stop. read more

Unlike every other gas station we fill up at which gives you the cash rate when you use a Debit card - this one charged the Credit Card gas price when we paid by Debit card. We'd have just paid with cash if we had realized they were going to do that, but we didn't realize it until we had filled up the tank already on the debit card. read more

I've been coming to this gas station for years and it's nice to constantly see the same faces working. Some of the reviews down below are wrong the owner of the gas station has always been the same. He is a very nice older gentleman who rents the garage out to the mechanic and smog person. The gas station is always super clean, the workers are so friendly and helpful. I often come here to get my propane tank filled for events and they give me excellent customer service. My husband has also been a customer for a long time and we have never had a problem. read more

Took my '99 Explorer to get smogged here. It didn't pass the first time. Took it to our mechanic to get the fix engine light turned off. Brought it back to smog shop. Still didn't pass. Went back to mechanic. He explains that because of the year of the car it does pass but the guy is not letting me pass because the score is too low and it will affect his "star" rating. It's legal but he doesn't want to do it. Smog tech acknowledges this. I ask him to give me my money back. He argues and yells. I take my car to another smog shop and it passes no problem. If you have an older car beware of the "star" smog shops. They get the designation by only having high scores on the smog test which older cars do not get. They will tell you it doesn't pass when legally it does it's just too low for them. I will not only never get a smog check there again but now I won't get gas there either. Called my credit card company and cancelled the payment. read more

I went here to get my car smogged and the service was super fast and very friendly. The smog tech was very helpful with all of the paperwork and info about the coupon I brought in. Gas prices also aren't horrible here. A lot better of a place to get a smog check done than the rude place behind Magoo's I used to go to. read more
