I always come here for the cheapest Chevron gas if I am around Moraga for school or driving back from Berkeley/Oakland/Lamorinda back home to San Ramon. I really don't get it. But I won't complain! Wait time is never bad, usually no wait to be honest. She then stated if I don't leave within five minutes she will call the Walnut Creek Police. I informed her that my vehicle is inoperable and I am awaiting a tow truck arrival and the time of arrival is out of my hands. She repeatedly stated that she would call the Walnut Creek Police as she's only giving me twenty minutes more. My response was: " Call the police!" I have three receipts showing that I am a customer who made multiple store purchases. I then asked her: " what if you were stranded with an inoperable car, or better yet, what if your mother, father or other loved one were stranded, would you be ok if the situation were reversed?" She was an East African female who then walked away! I am in total disbelief that she would even make such a threat to me, especially since I am a Black American male stranded here in Walnut Creek, California as it's approaching 7:15pm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't come thru this area very often, but I needed gas so I stopped here on a Thursday night around 10pm. It's still a rather small gas station. But they arranged the pumps so it's easier to get in and out. They replaced the cashier booth with a well stocked Circle K Food Mart. I went inside and the cashier was very nice and helpful. Looks like the Circle K offers the usual snacks and drinks, but also beer, coffee and Krispy Krunchy Chicken (KKC). Tip: If your Krispy Krunchy Chicken is too salty, try putting hot sauce on it. The chicken and fries smelled and looked good. I filled up my gas tank and paid at the pump but had to go inside the mini mart for a receipt since none was dispensed at the pump. After waiting for what seemed like forever I was finally given one by the female cashier. There were a few staff working but only one helped customers - an unfriendly lady worked the register, a man leaned against the wall on the same side of the counter as the cashier, and a third guy stood around the customer area. Could one of them refill the receipts at the pump? Lol. There were no greetings or salutations for customers.

I came in holding a $50 bill and a $10 bill to pay for gas, only to be treated like a criminal. An employee--described as a skinny male--accused me of using a fake $50 bill two days ago to buy a scratcher. He claimed he was "sure" it was me because he saw me on camera. When I asked to see the footage or speak to a manager, I was told the manager wasn't there. After pushing the issue, he eventually apologized--not because he realized he was wrong, but because he said the person in the footage "looked Asian," just like me. That is completely unacceptable. I've never used fake money in my life, and being falsely accused, especially in a store I've supported for a year, is beyond offensive. This experience left me feeling angry, and deeply hurt. I expect better treatment from any business, let alone one I've been loyal to. I hope this is taken seriously and addressed properly, not just with an apology, but with a change in how customers are treated--especially when it comes to assumptions based on race or appearance.
