This is the worst gas station I've been to in my life. The man working as a gas attendant at 930 am Tuesday morning, was racist and threatening. He was clearly resentful about his work, a small and angry man. Someone like that should NOT be in contact with the public. The amenities were a joke. Terrible service and quality. The woman working inside was also racist. AVOID THIS STATION AT ALL COSTS. Unless you wanted to be treated terribly for no reason by angry and racist workers. FRAUDULENT CHARGES!! I had noidea this place was so terrible, wish I had read the reviews before I went. Bert B review is spot on- he's even documented the other dates of abusive behavior by Alma, and Sinclair doesn't care, as she's said herself. She can flip off customers and threaten them with bodily harm ( some sort of bat she was about to pull on Bert) and Sinclair can't find anyone else that will show up to work . Had the same experience, spent a pretty penny on filling up with car with premium gas, and got yelled out and hounded by Alma for using the squeegee to wash all the windows on the car. Apparently they have nothing better to do, than stand around and monitor squeegee use . Agree with Bert, avoid this place and hopefully Sinclair does something about this, but don't hold your breath, Alma has already said they never do anything. read more

DO NOT GO HERE -- Worst Customer Service I've Ever Experienced Sinclair Gas Station I typically don't leave negative reviews, but this experience was so egregious that I feel compelled to warn others. I stopped to use the air pump, which didn't work after swiping my card. Inside, I encountered a tall man with curly hair who didn't understand me. I then approached a woman behind the counter, later identified as "Alma." I asked if the air machine worked, and she curtly replied, "You have to wait three minutes." I waited, but still, nothing happened. Returning inside, I asked for a contact number regarding the malfunctioning air pump. Alma pointed toward the machine and said, "There's a number on the side. Call them--it's not my problem." I responded, "I didn't say it was your problem; I just need the number." Her dismissive attitude was unhelpful. I called the number, which connected me to the garage next door. The man there told me it would cost $10 just to use their air. I questioned if this was some kind of scam between them and the gas station--he didn't respond and walked away. Back at the gas station, Alma was arguing with another customer, saying, "I don't care--it's not my problem," while several people waited in line. I said, "Why are you treating people like this? I'm trying to get air; he's trying to get gas--none of us deserve this attitude." She replied, "I don't care." At that point, I turned to the customers in line and said, "If I were you, I'd go spend your money somewhere else." As I walked outside, Alma flipped me off and mouthed 'F-you' through the window. I turned back and walked in to ask why she'd do that. She then grabbed what looked like a bat or thick stick from behind the counter and started yelling at me as if she was going to attack. I told her, "If you hit me, I will defend myself. Don't threaten me." I asked for her name--she said "Alma." I inquired about the owner or corporate contact. Her response: "They're not going to do anything. They never do." That says it all. I returned to my car, stunned. My wife had already started reading reviews of this place--and the same names, same behavior, and same horror stories kept coming up. I don't know why they are under 76 but it's a Sinclair gas station. I'm a neighbor customer (across the street) all the employees have an attitude towards customer. I've seen it given to others but tonight it was my turn I guess. I asked for a pack of cigarettes and he said " we don't sell cigarettes" I pointed behind him and he said " we don't see at night" I said there's a curfew to selling cigarettes? I stood there with my mouth open and said : I jst got gas. he didn't believe me and asked me where had I been parked I pointed an didn't know the exact number so he asked me what it was and I didn't know and could not see it from the store. Clean and fast service. I also bought a mega millions here and hope to win the lottery. The place is bright and clean that makes people feel safe and comfy. Drinks are not like 7-11 that you get 2nd one with 50% discount. It is still reasonable priced. It is smaller than 7-11 but with enough selection and you can pretty much get what you need here. The gas price seems to be the lowest in this area, which is also a gods thing. We care about gas price more than the drink or hotdog actually. The garage is closed. It provides oil change and other services. That is convenient and thoughtful. I like the design and mutual beneficial setting for cars and drivers. The shopkeeper is also nice and friendly. I had a great experience here every time. Normally I just put in gas, I have a friend who lives close by, so I would drive by occasionally. They were always nice to me, and had fun lil light-up guitar lighters I just had to buy as gag gifts for several friends hit the mark every time . One time, though, my car broke down and I was broke ass myself . Literally did not have $2 on me! But I went in desperately, to just ask for advice. The mechanic on call was amazing! He looked at my car, told me what was most likely wrong, even gave me some oil . I will never forget the kindness and the human qualities of this place, cause where do ppl take the time to help someon in need anymore. They will get my business every time! I have been buying my propane here for over 10 years, I have spent a pile of $$$ at this station and they know me. Today, I noticed one of my tires was low and as I was close, I stopped in to get a shot of air. As I did, I realized I had forgotten my wallet and asked if they would do me a favor and let me fill my tire. "Our policy...blah, blah, blah..." My policy is not to do business with a bunch of cheap people who turn down a loyal customer. Their gas is WAY overpriced, the stuff in their store is WAY overpriced and I'm sure they charge you for work they don't even do. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! Give someone else your money. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GIVE THESE CROOKS YOUR BUSINESS!!! Yesterday I took my propane tank to this store on the corner of Pico and 20th. Rather than doing a traditional tank exchange the attendant behind the counter named Roberto indicated that they would be wiling to fill the tank instead. Being unfamiliar with a tank fill, I asked him if this might invite problems or safety issues. He assured me it would not, so I agreed to allow them to fill it. They charged me just under $20, and I was on my way. Now, keep in mind that I am an experienced griller. I know my way around a propane tank, having exchanged dozens and dozens over the years with NO problems. When I installed the tank that the attendants here filled, however, within a mere minute the regulator began smoking. I rushed over to see the problem and realized that the regulator had FROZEN OVER AS THOUGH IT WERE SHOT THROUGH WITH DRY ICE. It was dripping frozen water down the side and spraying smoke everywhere. So, I unscrewed the tank and called the store to tell them it was over-filled and to ask for my money back. To my utter surprise, not only were they not apologetic, but they were out and out HOSTILE to me for even ASKING for a refund! So I asked for the store owner's name and was told his name was Miguel and he would be in in the AM. This morning I went to discuss this with Miguel and was, once again, dismissed with a wave when I asked for my money back. Needless to say, I have already filed a complaint with the parent company ConocoPhilips, the better business bureau, and the Consumer Protection Agency, but I wanted to make sure that I discouraged everyone on Yelp! from giving these crooks your money as well.
