Shell tends to be a littler pricier for gas, and since there's no competition in the immediate area, it's not going to be the cheapest. The store didn't have any hot food but did have a good selection of cold beverages and coffee. It's clean and well organized. There wasn't even a spec of brake dust left on the rims and they were pretty dirty before. Their website has coupons and the cashier happily accepted the $10 off a hand wax coupon I showed on my phone. I recently noticed a sign on the window there saying that if you install the Chevron app, it gives you $1 off per gallon for your first two fill ups. You can't beat free money and I definitely took advantage of that offer.

The first time, I got my money back from the cashier without issue. This time, the person behind the counter first lied and said that the price was correct, and then when I pointed out the price on their sign, he refused to help and told me to call the manager the next day. When I got upset with him he laughed like he thought it was funny that he had stolen money from me. I have reported this to the Shell corporation headquarters and the county and state Departments of Weights and Measures. Hopefully they will be fined and held accountable for this criminal behavior. Their Techron is pretty widely regarded as a good and effective additive. I was surprised to see that my new BMW actually has a sticker by the gas tank cap stating that BMW recommends Shell fuels. Another big reason I always go to Shell is that I save a ton of money on gasoline thanks to their partnership with Ralphs. If you sign up for a Ralphs Club card and swipe it when you shop there, you'll get 10 cents off per gallon at Shell for every $100 spent at Ralphs. I usually don't even shop for groceries there but it also applies to gift card purchases. I spend a lot at Amazon, Target, DoorDash, Starbucks, etc so I buy $100 gift cards for those places from Ralphs. Ralphs also has coupons for 4x points on Fridays so you get 40c off per gallon per $100 spent up to $1 off per gallon. If I'm gonna spend that money anyway, I might as well save a bunch on gas while I'm at it. I save a minimum of $500 per year doing this.
