And both clerks were awesome and very friendly and respectful and told me that they only carried 6 packs so they gave me two, and told me that if I came more often that they would make sure to have more blue moons. The store was open very early, not too crowded, and had every travel essential that I needed. In just minutes I was able to get toothpaste and a hairbrush, along with a few extra snacks to take with me to the park. Also, because of its great location, it would be an excellent place to visit if you are staying at one of the many local hotels or if you plan on taking the short walk to Disneyland. Walgreens is definitely one of those stores you will hope you never have to go into on your vacation however, you will be extremely happy that it is there when you do! Because I had two children riding in seats on my bicycle, I couldn't safely carry a large fountain drink. My thought was simple: I would purchase the complete deal, take the hot dog and chips, and leave the drink behind. The store would be giving me less product--not more. I approached the counter because I didn't know which chips qualified. The cashier acted irritated that I hadn't already brought him a bag, abruptly pointed toward a small display containing almost entirely spicy chips, rolled his eyes, turned his back on me, and walked away while I was still asking whether there were any non-spicy choices for my five-year-old. After searching the store myself, I found barbecue chips and returned to the register. When the promotion didn't apply, the cashier dismissively told me, "It didn't go through." I asked why, and he finally explained that I had to take the drink. I was perfectly willing to grab one if the register required it, but I also asked the obvious question: does it really benefit anyone for me to fill a cup, carry it outside, and pour it into the gutter or throw it away simply to receive the advertised price? An ordinary family purchase became unnecessarily confrontational in front of my children because this employee could not be bothered to provide basic courtesy or customer service. For identification purposes, the cashier was a younger man who appeared to be Indian and had visible forearm tattoos, including a distinctive tattoo reading "Trust No One" or "Trust Nobody." I mention these details only so management can identify the employee involved from the transaction records and security footage. The promotion, food selection, and value were all great. Unfortunately, none of that matters when an employee makes customers feel completely unwelcome. I will not return to this location while this cashier is working. When I got upset with him he laughed like he thought it was funny that he had stolen money from me. I have reported this to the Shell corporation headquarters and the county and state Departments of Weights and Measures. Hopefully they will be fined and held accountable for this criminal behavior.
