It's surprising that a gas station so close to a major freeway exit would be closed at that hour. I thanked the attendant and drove to another station about 10 minutes away. As I got back on the freeway, I noticed someone actively pumping gas at the supposedly closed Arco. Strange, right? Inconsistent service like this is frustrating, especially at such a critical location.

However, I will never go back to this place reason being is Estella. On Aug. 17th at 12:05pm. I went for a quick gas stop and I had my electric scooter in the back of the truck, so I figured i'd add air to the tires since I was already there. I have done multiple times in the past with no questions or any issues. I figured today would be nothing different. I was very wrong I went to the counter and asked Estella if she could turn on the air machine she looked at me and gave me a demeaning look. She said I don't THINK we can give you free air. I said what do you mean? She said you have to pay for the air now I was like the machine states it is FREE right now! This is false advertising! She said you know how things are changing and I said okay what does that have to do with anything it says FREE! I said can you press the button please and just turn it on. I've filled up here several times now, and I've had a good experience. This location has six covered pumps on one side, and two uncovered pumps on the other side. They also have propane, as well as an air and water machine. Their gas prices are on par with other major non-independent stations in the nearby area. The inside of this Shell has a very nice and modern looking food mart with several aisles of food items, and a cooler along the back wall with various beverages. There is also a Subway sandwich shop inside. This will probably be my regular gas station from now on. PRO TIP FOR ALL SHELL GAS STATIONS: Shell is partnered with Ralphs grocery stores through the Ralphs Rewards program. For every $100 spent at Ralphs, you earn a $0.10 cent per gallon discount at Shell, up to a maximum discount of $1.00 per gallon. Most Fridays, Ralphs has a coupon in their app to get 4x fuel points for Ralphs purchases made on that day.
