The Cheveron in Tarzana that sits across from the 101 east on ramp near Tampa Ave, but actually off Ventura Blvd and Vanalden (a street you've never heard of) is a great place to fuel up your whip or yourself. I often stop in for a snack, beverage or minty freshness... they do have a full service sandwich, hot dog, burrito situation here sorta like 7eleven but more deli like with someone working that counter inside and a separate counter for mart purchases, gas payment and/or misc items. Chill station clerks who are almost too laid back at times which is mostly a good thing... but once or twice I've been rung up double for the same item(s) which is an easy fix... I usually ask for receipts here just in case. Some tables and benches out front with umbrellas make for a nice spot to cool off if on foot or in need of a quick rest. Good amount of room for large vehicles and trucks... the pumps off Vanalden seem to have the most room and space... never seen it too crazy busy here mainly because of the above average gas prices being so close to a freeway entrance... however you can save a little with your Safeway/Vons/Pavilions club cards... which counts for something, right... They're currently redoing the carwash but should be up in a few months... Restrooms are in deccent shape in case you're wondering...

Their tacos cost $4.50, double tortilla and decently served. The price of the taco does not reflect the choice of protein. I mentioned it to the cashier to which he responded well you're not getting $2.50 tacos.. everything the same.. it doesn't matter .. he kind of brushed me off. After that. I just wanted him to charge me for what my order was. I had no problem paying for my meal. He made it seem like I was trying to get a bargain. I think customers service could have been better.

Before handing the money to the cashier, I counted it out: two $10 bills and four $1 bills, totaling $24. I also said "$24 on pump 3" out loud when I handed her the money. There was a security guard sitting to my left who was present while I counted and handed over the cash. I went outside and pumped my gas, and the pump stopped at $14. I immediately ran back inside and told the cashier, "Ma'am, I gave you $24, and there was only $14 on the pump." Instead of checking what happened, she told me that I had only given her $14. I explained very clearly that I gave her two tens and four ones. She then told me that I must have thought I gave her two $10 bills, but that I had actually only given her one $10 bill and four $1 bills. That response really bothered me because I know exactly what I had in my wallet and exactly what I counted out. I did not appreciate being spoken to as though I was confused about my own money. I repeatedly asked for the surveillance cameras to be reviewed so there would be no argument about anyone's memory -- the footage should show what I handed over. The security guard was also right there when the transaction happened and appeared confused by the situation as well. The cashier eventually told me to come back at 9:00 AM. I have also contacted ARCO Customer Relations and formally requested that the surveillance footage from approximately 9:20-9:30 PM be preserved and reviewed, along with the register transaction for pump #3. This is about more than the $10 difference for me. It is about the principle of handing over money, receiving $10 less in gas, immediately bringing it to the employee's attention, and then being told that I must have been mistaken instead of having the situation properly verified. I want management to review the cameras and determine exactly what happened. I will update this review after management responds and the footage/register transaction has been reviewed.

Often pass by here on foot for a quick snack or scratcher related business... however I will say…read morethis Chevron is run well by friendly service clerks and is never too overcrowded as their is plenty of room to navigate unlike some other locations on Ventura Blvd. This Chevron at the intersection of Vanalden and Ventura sits on the North west side and has a few concrete tables and benches and tables just right of the store entrance which is convenient to enjoy a snack, beverage or unwind for a sec weather you're pumping or passing by. It's very inviting and always well kept day and night. The do their best to upkeep all areas inside and out and stock a few healthy snacks you wouldn't find at most gas station convenience stores. When I have gotten gas here I will be honest and say it's not the best place to fuel up price wise within a mile to two mile radius, but definitely a better experience whether you're a local or just fueling up for the day.

The gas is pretty cheap, more so than most gas stations in the south bay. That is great, considering the fact that gas prices go up in trendier neighborhoods. The place has a sizable convenience store as well. I hopped inside to buy some tea while I was filling up my tank. The workers there are pretty friendly. There is one restroom, and it is so-so in cleanliness. The whole transaction took about 5 minutes and I was on my way. Pretty hassle free, as this place is never overly crowded. A great stop for gas and snacks in Woodland Hills.

My immediate observation of the place was that it's actually pretty large in space with a lot of Gas Pump Stations. The area is pretty clean( given for a gas station) while the store was fully stocked and a layed back worker. 10/10 recommend:)
